At 4:30 in this video I talk about "dropping the N" but I meant to say "drop the T"! Sorry for any confusion. You won't drop the N here, but you WILL drop the T. You'll hear native speakers do it all the time! :)
@@rachelsenglish lol contractions ! U get them during labor and delivery when u have a baby when u have a contraction ur body pushes the baby down for birth that the best i know 😅😅😅😅 is that right
Hello You are the best teacher in the world if i oneday 60 second speak with you i am so happy. And All teachers in the world should listen to your pronunciation
first and foremost i wanna thanks to mrs Rachels to teach me English language in simple way and hearing accent. I can not speak and hear English the reason is that the accent is very difficult for me but i subscribe your channel and i am motivated to listen and speak a little bit. continue by this way and add picture with name thanks. really i love u so much Rachels.
Dear Rachel This is a fantastic video. I’m learning English and I practice it for 20 years +. And you’ve just made me realize that I am still deaf to several English sounds. Not catching the difference between negative and positive affirmation can truly impair your understanding of the situation can’t it? (Dropped t 😀). You’re the first one to make it clear to my ears. That’s brillant 🤩. Thanks a ton. Bertrand from Paris
Hello Rachel! Thank you for your lesson! At present, I can understand you better than it was earlier. I mean your speech, without subtitles. It took a lot of time to reach this, but I didn't give up. Stay safe!
Hi Rachel!! Hoa are you doing? Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. You're the best. It's hard to hear and identify contractions and linking sounds. I'm familiarizing with them by practicing. I'm improving my listening and speaking thanks to you, so thank you very much again Rachel.
Wow this makes so much sense! Thank you! I'm a non-native speaker trying on some auditions for fun in voice acting animations and it bothered me that even when my pronunciation was very good, my lines didn't feel natural. I knew I've heard some contractions like "isnn he" in shows before, but my bilingual bf was telling me otherwise. Thanks for the explanations, I'll redo less takes because of a missing T. 😁
Rachel, you are the best ! I am a teacher of English in Germany. I love your videos and learn a lot in them ! I also recommend them to my students. Having French as a mother tongue and after having learnt English and German as foreign languages, I have always been an advocate of learning natural pronunciation. Keep on doing the good work ! You are an inspiration.
I love you and what you do and put 100% trust on it! That''s why I have decided to join RachelsEnglishAcademy today. Super excited and can't wait to follow the daily plan!
I think this is the only RUclips channel that does in-depth analyses of the American accent. Way to go, Rachel! A small question regarding fast speech: do we hear the /t/ sound in "asked" from the sentence "he asked the..."?
Hi Rachel pleased to see you again I have no words to thank you You help me a lot my English has improved a lot. You're an amazing teacher Have a great Wednesday 😉🇧🇷 Stay safe
Mam made a poll who wants Ben Franklin exercise again and who doesn't. Because I want that back as it helped me a lot♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ and that what never done on RUclips before .we want it back mam🔥

Thank you so much, Rachels to put all this together! It's really an awesome video!❤️❤️ Do you have some videos about contractions about "have/has" tense ? And "would" in spoken English? Eg, “ would like” gets contracted to " 'd like "

Hey Rachel, thank you so much for this video! Much appreciate it! Anyway, i’ve been practicing by imitating native speakers recently from youtube videos, especially your videos. My question is, as a male, is it ok to imitate your voice? Or should i imitate a male native speaker instead? Hope you’ll read this comment and respond to it. Thank you Rachel
Hi! I recommend imitating a voice you like to hear! When imitating me, you don't need to imitate my pitch, but the melody and musical quality - that will be fine.
