The first rapper (J-Hope) was the one at the end of Butter, Suga was rapping 2nd. All kpop songs incorporate various degrees of English. The original version of Mic Drop has more Korean in it. They remixed Mic Drop with a feature from Desiigner so they included more English. They've won almost 400 awards, and that's not including music show awards in South Korea. BTS started formation in 2010 and officially debuted in June 2013. But I would say their popularity started taking off in the US in 2017 when they won best social artist at the Billboard Music Awards, so that's when they started promoting more in the US.

There are so many versions of this song. This is the English-y version. There’s also a korean and Japanese version. All three have the regular choreography, but then they can all have the dance break versions as well. Steve Aioki did a new remix on his channel recess a ty for hitting a billion views. It’s awesome as well

He's one of the 3 rappers and the dance leader of BTS. oh and this remix is just a few touch up here and there. the original song is more...raw? and hit harder actually. it's mainly produced by their main producer, Pdogg. BTS members also took parts in song writing, composing and producing in like 80% of their discography.

As you may have started to notice, BTS is often said to have "no genre" of music because they have so many different themes and types. I definitely recommend "Fake Love" which has amazing meaning in the lyrics, "Black Swan" for a more contemporary side of BTS, and "ON (Kinetic Manifesto) for some incredible dancing by them.

@@JordanBurden if you dive deeper into bts....one thing for sure is that you'll become an army...(I mean if you know about their history from the beginning,their hardships, meaning of their songs, messages, etc you'll say or think that bts is more than a boyband. Listen their songs like paradise, tomorrow, love myself, epiphany, mikrokosmos,so what, N.O, Nevermind,etc read the lyrics. Through their music they delivered messages.

BTS debuted in 2013 as a hip hop group and the 7 members are still with the group to this day. Although their styles have gone through many changes, they are such a versatile group that they cannot be classified as a specific genre. Not only can they all sing, there are three rappers, RM, Suga, and J-Hope, who can out rap anyone. They can do it all.

To answer your question about how many awards they have, as of 2020 they had 373 awards but have won more this year so the number is higher than that, they also have 26 Guinness world records, have also placed on the Time 100 most influential people in the world in 2019, and are the youngest ever recipients of the South Korean Order of Cultural Merit.

Three years ago and we hit the 1B views this month. Steve Aoki was thrilled and made a mashup-mix, 20 min or so, and a shorter video where he thanked ARMY (fans) for the milestone.
You might like Idol, it's a banger with a great message. Their 2013 (debut) to about 2015 songs are very rap-focused, since they debuted as a rap hip-hop group, but from 2015 on they began switching it up and there's no genre you won't find them doing now. (Except country western; they did Old Town Road with Lil Nas X at the '19 Grammys, but I don't think that really counts.) Do take a look at their live versions, you get the full choreography, and the energy is just insane. These guys turn pretty much any show into their own personal concert, without even intending to do so, their stage presence is unbeatable.
