- 2 years ago I got diagnosed with PCOS after not getting my period for 7 years. I was devastated because being a mom and starting a family with Laurens is my biggest dream.. I was so scared that I would never be able to because I got told it was harder to get babies in a natural way..
I started to research PCOS and came to the conclusion that mine was not the typical pcos.. Mine was because of my body being in fight or flight mode.. which means my body was under constant stress. I never felt mentally super stressed so it was hard te understand this, but my life consisted of travelling all the time (no biorhythm), working out every day, eating super clean (restricting foods). I think I pressured my body to much, and honestly every body is so different but I think my weight was not good for my body to function properly and couldn’t handle the constant traveling.
This was the point where I started to research natural healing for PCOS and came to the conclusion that I should do way less high intensity training, don’t restrict foods, be nice to myself, and take breaks when needed. I also tried some natural supplements, acupuncture and we got a place back in the Netherlands as well, so we could spend more time with Family (since im such a family person).
I’m so happy and grateful to say that I got my period back last november AND that WE’RE SOON A FAMILY OF THREE ❤ ❤❤❤
& to the women trying to conceive, believe in yourself and be nice for yourself and your body and don’t let those thoughts get to you to much 😚

@@smaragdag.8394 PCOS wasn't helping but it's not like you don't have periods when having it. I have it as well and I've never knew about this until it was discovered unexpectedly, my cycle was always just a bit long (34 days) - other then that, nothing unusual, no pains, no problems :)

@@kasiowelove1 just because you have a semi-normal cycle doesn't mean that it's normal with PCOS. Most women who have PCOS have very irregular cycles and don't get their period very often, sometimes not at all for a year or more. I didn't get a period for 5 years even though I'm not a model, eat normally and barely exercise
The part where She says that She thought that She would never be a mother, really Broke my heart, I was 34 and hadn't had children, until I got Raped, and I got Pregnant, but my child is the Most Beautiful Person in the World to me, and She made me a Mother. I am with her. Being a Mother to Some Women is the Biggest of dreams. I am GLAD for them both.

So wise of you to choose him, and wise of you to understand that all the restrictive eating was not helpful for baby making. thank you for opening up about the effects of the weight pressure from being a model on your body and having a period. its really important for girls that aspire to look like you, to know that it is not healthy or sustainable, and that it can affect your fertility + long-term health, and that models subsequently have those problems
Just to clarify: The period loss was from PCOS which is stress Induced for her and made worse by high intensity work outs, modelling didn't cause period loss. She makes this clear in her Instagram post and I'm just relaying the information here.

I am also really skinny and still have my period. It is the stress but also all the traveling and time changes - your body have some inner order and time changing plus the pressure in the plane are the worse for our period... Mostly flight attendants have this problem...

I got diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15 years old. I am going to be 23 in July and I was told I wouldn’t be able to have children. I got my periods normally after starting Keto and have had one every month for the past year. I finally got pregnant February of this year, 2020. I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant with my beautiful little boy. So, I understand your struggle. I know how it feels to see everyone being pregnant and becoming mothers. I knew at a young age, being a mom is what I definitely wanted. After years of trying to get pregnant, it happened when I least expected. God blessed me with my son and I’m beyond blessed.
