CRANKED '64 Princeton Reverb Hand-Wired | Vol 1-10 | Les Paul
This is a hand-wired version of the '64 Fender Princeton Reverb. It is a killer amp that records amazingly. Here we take the volume from 0-10 to hear how it sounds pushed to the max with a Gibson Les Paul Tribute.

Great stuff - thanks for the volume-knob-old-guy-clean-channel work.
No problem!
definetly need more of these CRANKED videos, this is great
Thank you for this serie of videos! Great job
Thanks for the feedback! I think I’ll do the same series but for the deluxe reverb next.
I can't imagine how loud it was in that room at 10. We have one of those little orange "terror" 15 watt amps in the studio, and getting that to like 4 or 5 is ridiculous... Cool vid, definiately NOT below average!
Thank you for all those videos about this amazing Princeton '64. Clean and Crunch monster ! (Regarding Overdrive, I prefer a good Marshall than this one)
amazing video. Are you tempted to swap the princeton jensen for a G10 gold like you did with the deluxe? Did you shoot out the 64 and 65 princeton RI? thx
I am very tempted to swap for a G10 gold! I haven’t done that shootout yet but am hoping to soon.
@@averagejer I ve had the 65 RI for a while, swapped the speakers (p10R > C10R), but i just bought a G10 (havent received it yet)... never played the 64. I always feel like the amp is a little too brittle, but everytime I try another amp (and i ve tried some awesome amps by carr, tone king, as well as amps that are voiced differently like 5E3s and champs)... and I always go back to the princeton
Nice! I guess it is even more gainy into the number one input?
Correct. Going into input 1 compresses it more.
Do you think this amp would give enough volume for a classic rock band setting? Pristine cleans are not needed, unmiced amp in rehersal room and miced live.
@@magnusberger6762 it’s loud enough for us. The big thing you’re fighting with the 10” speaker is speaker breakup. If you replace it with a 12” or get a higher capacity speaker you’re good to go there.
The way "Cranked" videos should be structured imo.
Always start from actual clean.
