mitsurugi ryzeal actually pretty good with the feral imp searching multiple times off twins reborn, and the pay off of an omni negate trap from the mitsu cards is nice. just a lot of investment for that that can lead to some bricking. but a really cool deck.
Havent meet the deck alot but does searching multiple mitsurugi name even matter if you dont have access to the spell card that turn? Like on game 2 after i see saji got negated and blue doesnt have access to spell it seems searching multiple mitsurugi card that turn doesnt really change anything (there is always searching for followup sure but i cant see it extend your play on that curent gamestate)
@lyfed2566 yeah it's a shame the rituals do nothing on their own and Saji by himself isn't enough fodder to use the ritual he can search. But with the twins of the eclipse you can do a ryzeal combo to search with king of imps once, twins him back, and then search again. Getting you Saji and a ritual and then Saji can search the spell and you rolling
if you could find a good match involving mitsurugi ogdoadic much appreciated! not that im really expecting it to be the "best" variant of mitsurugi but i love reptile pile, especially when it's in the hands of a competent player
I've tested that deck, its cool definitely but the problem is you end up playing just a lot of bricks. I definitely did lose a couple of games while playing ryzeal against it but thats mostly because I didn't fully know what to stop in that deck.
You do realise the game predates preconstructed archetypes right? Plus the game would be boring in a different way if everything was just pure hyperlocked archetypal decks; it’s player’s deckbuilding agency that adds a huge layer of creative energy to the game (and these mixes develop their own identity). Plus mostly ‘pure’ decks…still exist every now and again? Like Tenpai was originally played that way. As was Floo.
Like sure having a pallete of hyper xenophobic strategies spoonfed to you does mean they get to be distinct, curated experiences, but that’s at a cost.
Alright so to play devil's advocate. Korean DJ was a known bad/new player in the melee scene who would money match pros at melee tournaments to get practice. Hed get demolished but was picking up on their habits and learning from them, so 5-10 bucks to get legit sets and it developed him into one of the best players in the world. Now these players are money matching other bad players, that makes no sense.
Testing is done to *figure out* whether or not an archetype is decent, what does this even mean. You ask this question like other people are any more the gospel than you are at this stage - the archetype was revealed not that long ago, nobody is gonna be able to give a conclusive y/n yet
Subway combo money match. What a time to be alive.
bruh subway be hittin fam dont diss the footlong, ts serious 😆
@@ryionizer3622AYOOOOOOO 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Ryzeal being able to bridge to full mitsurgi combo seems crazy
Anyone know what the leaked ryzeal cards are that one of the guys was talking about?

"40 versus 40"... Yes, sir!!!
This match's gameplay wasn't ideal, but we appreciate your regular content, @TheDBGrinder. Keep up the great work!
They definitely just did this to get on the channel.
Man. Its rrally hard watching some of these games when there are so many misplays
My eyes are bleeding after that match
New pod episode when?
prolly right after the ycs
@ my brother in Christ you said that before the last one XD I need a new ep every week 😤❤️
Gonna have to send a replay in soon these db maliss players are BROWN WATER
I think people copy the experienced players to much .. throwing money away just because others do is not a good thing
Is that you, DistantCoder?
@ lol 👀
Mermail ?
sucks that yugioh in 2025 will just be decks that are all different engines and handtraps, no real pure decks anymore that can compete.

Maliss player had game but played into nib for absolutely no reason, so baaaaaaad
Yugioh players don’t read there cards😂😭
Awful players
There was no reason these trash players should be money matching with their allowances with skills like this….

Imagine blatantly cheating to win $10...
Is this new archetype decent or people are just testing and this is pure copium?
