This was a great video! I really enjoyed the discussion. I trip over CPVs myself, but I live in Winnipeg, so it goes with the turf! It's funny, as you guys were talking about it, I was cleaning an X-Factor 6 CPV I'm prepping for a press.
Enjoyed the discussion. Was surprised to hear Fox & Crow come up. I recently bought #86 because they were pole vaulting on the cover and I was a pole vaulter in high school & college. Never seen the comic before.
Love the conversation. Best advice is collect what you like. I like high grade books as well, but you have to stay within your means. When I’m looking to buy a big book, it may end up being a 3.5 but if that’s what I can afford then I’m excited to be able to have it in my collection. To me the hobby isn’t about worth, it’s about having the books you love.
Great video guys! I really enjoyed this. I hope you all do this again in the future. And, Dave and Rachel, I know you are on the West Coast, but wish you two would come out to HeroesCon in Charlotte in June. It is a great, collectors convention.
I obsess over the books and the appearance since I was a kid. I don't have any of the books on the lists (CGC Slab-gate) because I bought my books off the newsstand myself. Like the coin markets, by the way, folks talk about the maturity of that market, Morgans, Barbers, Shields were created in the millions. Hoards are found all the time. Look at the warehouse find of FF comics that include a large hoard of FF48/49 in high grade! I believe collectors should simply enjoy the process and therapy/distraction collecting provides today. A way to disconnect from the bombardment in an information age. - I wanted to add that I designed my own software to manage my collection (Images, prices, cover artist, out to CGC/CBCS etc...).
Looking at the kids, they are not interested in Comics. They all into Manga. I do not believe the kids now will be interested buying graded Comics in 30 years. But maybe I am wrong
Love this! Great to just sit around and S the S about comics.
These are my favorite videos of yous twos thank you
I could watch you two talk about comics every single day! Thanks for the entertainment!
I think we could talk about comics all day 😂
@@silveragedcI’d listen!

Real simple, guys - use CBCS; superior in EVERY way. And the prices are going UP.

Chuck wished he never sold that collection until maybe now. Probably would go for $100 million today. A lot more than that probably!
Just found Danny's letter in Groo #113. So funny.
Great video, very entertaining. Has Danny got an instagram page?
Would love to see some of his Golden age comics! 🙏
What a treat! You guys should do a monthly Bros video chat.
Really terrific video. Wonderfully entertaining. Thank you!
Was wondering if you guys were keeping an eye on Witching Hour #1 cgc 9.4 on ebay that went for $1275 yesterday.
That’s a fair price for that book.
@@futurepastvintagecollectables I thought so too.

We just don’t know. I am more optimistic now than I was a few years ago.
