  • Watching Robert "Bob" Prevost being elected pope was a once-in-a-lifetime moment for a Catholic nun who now lives in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Sister Dianne Bergant studied, prayed and celebrated with Pope Leo XIV himself, back in the late 1970s, when she was his teacher at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. FOX 11's Emily Matesic sat down with Bergant to hear her story.

Sister Dianne Bergant is such an inspiration to our Catholic Church. As Pope Leo's teacher, she is so humble and so thoughtful when answering all the questions of the news reporter. How blessed she must feel to have contributed to and to being a part of his legacy in his path to serving others. She is so humble that she doesn't recognize that her significant role fostered him to be elevited in becoming the first American born Pope. How wonderful for her to witness this all and how wonderful for the USA. I will be praying for us all that Pope Leo the XIV will bring new life to the Catholic religion which has had a big decline in the participation of the church over the last decade.

@@paulebreowong2790 God Loved Women. Unfortunately men in Religions twisted the teachings and the power. The Bible, particularly the New Testament, provides numerous examples of Jesus valuing and respecting women, challenging societal norms of his time. Jesus' interactions with women, such as the Samaritan woman at the well, the woman with the flow of blood, and Mary Magdalene, demonstrate his love and acceptance of women. These instances, along with other biblical accounts, highlight the importance of women in God's plan and reveal his love for them.
