- This is getting out of hand. Why Is Android performance so bad right now. Recently I noticed lag has been getting really bad. And I really dont know why. I wanted to see if it was my device, and the differences between platforms. I normally use an android emulator, but I did test this on android devices and the same problems occured. Steam is one of the smaller platforms but it is blowing me away. Pixonic has to prioritize this immediately 💥

As an android player, this lag has gone out of control. Ive contacted help multiple times. They didnt help much. I love playing WR but it lags and crashes on a regular basis. The game becomes almost unplayable. It goes 1 frame per decade.
I get 2 frame per million year, can play more heavy mobile games (pubg) in smooth 90 fps which is max frame rate currently possible there

Yup. I can second your experiences as an android player in champs league. With all the particles and the BS effects the game just can't handle it. WR went from a game built for mobile games to a game built for PCs due to the ignorance of the developers. This needs to be fixed ASAP

I am an iOS player, and this issue is very much evident on iOS devices as well. The problem is, that Pixonic has introduced way too many effects (Rust, explosion, etc), module particle effects and overpowered weapons with a plethora of crazy animations, and of course, only top-notch and expensive phones will be able to handle all of those. I believe all of these are being done with giving these a final touch since the developers are rushing with their content and hence the degradation of the quality of an average gameplay. Rather than on quantity, Pixonic really needs to focus more on quality.
In my opinion, they should start working on new maps and stop making more bots and weapons for a year to give this game a fresh breath and more room for fixing the bugs and banning hackers. Again, it’s a personal opinion so we may not be on the same page.

The worst thing about My Games/Pixonic is they nerf new robots and weapons to mediocrity after the players buy them with hard-earned money. Nothing feels satisfying when buying in-game items at all.
Pixonic has always done rebalaces robots n weapons since the game was released in 2014 Pixonic nerf items in a stronger way now than they use to. Pixonic is guilty of making OP content while the player's are guilty of buying it knowing it will be nerf in 4 month. To clarify, player's are basically renting equipment. And Some player's despite having items nerf over n over they continue to make investments these are the player's pixonic cares about not player's that spend casual $10-20 per month.

Being a greedy company is easy, but being a good company is hard.
An android player here, you should use bots that produce lots of effects like the dagon and shenlou. And also active some mother ships.
Also, get into a situation where there are like three robots shooting you all at once.

as a steam player, i firmly agree with all this.
although its the only platform i play on after losing my android acc back in 2019, i sometimes find it unfair that 1: back then it took till 2023/2024 to enable cross platforms to all but clans (which is of course coming soon, but thats way too late for such a thing to happen) and 2: i feel bad at times when some of my friends on android suffering from a crapton of lag
Finally someone says it, we've had the lag problem on Android for years. Sometimes we lose bots just because of lag, or we can't kill a bot with 20% hp because of lag. That's unfair to Android players (((.
another problem I (as an android player) have encountered the past few weeks (if not even months, not sure since when this has been a thing) is that I can not join a squad / invite people from other platforms into my suqad

I only face lag on War Robots Android when I'm on mobile data, which by itself is slowing down because I use it during school. When I'm on wifi, I don't experience any lag.
I absolutely hate it when im using my Solid Jagger mk2 with the solid gauss mk2 weapons, and I only have one shot to hit the guy before recharging, so I fire when someone is in my sightlines...and it doesnt even register the hit and I waste a shot for no reason, even though the shot CLEARLY HIT HIM.
Its super frustrating.
I've noticed that it usually happens when multiple metas use multiple abilities simultaneously.
Surprisingly, I haven't had any of those issues.
I have also had problems on android. Fainters are a nightmare to use. Low reload speed and the lag makes people teleport 2 meters every time you shoot at them making them move even upon lock-down. It is insane.
Too many animations in the game nowadays. The game looks literally so messy and is probably adding to the performance and lag issues.
No it’s the OS architecture. IOS is better with less latency, too.
Im on IOS and one thing I really hate about Pixonic is that I can’t use my account on other devices cuz its on android.

Sometimes when i play, the game, just randomly without any reasons, starts to have really big fps Drops and then i have like ich legitimatly 5 fps for like 3 Minutes, and when i shoot and Hit someone the damage always comes delayed by 1 second, and that happens every round, and like 20% of my Hits dont even count
13:54 you can also up the graphics settings on android - I personally do not see that big of a difference between playing on my android tablet (Galaxy Tab S8) and on my PC (on Steam)
It depends what phone you have and if it supports 60fps option and 5g internet. But yes some times lags are too big
I play on Android and the lag is so bad,and it's impossible to counter act and I lose probably 50% of the time and it crashes really frequently, I play for about 2 to 3 hours a day and it crashes at least 3 times, in the middle of battles and right at the beginning of battles, I've spent a lot of money just to continuously lose its pathetic, its so bad its not even fun anymore.

I thought it was just me thank god. Every time I play my phone heats up waaaay more than usual and if someone shoots something with a lot of projectiles my fps drops to like 4fps for a sec

I complained to them about this lag. They said that they have already received the complaint in this regard. They said they will fix it in the next update. But after the new update it lags even more now.

I am on Android as well, i can't use certain robots because the lag is so bad. I can't use my Ravana,Shenlu, Scorpion and many more because Android can't keep up the FPS
Turn on FPS on Steam by Shift-Tab and go to settings icon, there is an option to display fps
There are more android players, thats why they combine ios and steam platforms; they can afford the shared server space... if you play when its not peak hours, the lag dissipates significantly, but there is also a difference in code and android is on the far end of the finite state machining for resolving processes
kinda depends on what device, try ask in forum what android brand perform and what not. some brand specificly optimize their product line up to perfrom better because of target market for example war robot in usa have total more player than other countries which make sense why apple device show less problem whilst in asia consumer are leaning towards device thet can perform in pubgm or moba games hence androids are more optimized for em

my android tablet doesnt lag unless my wifi randomly gets high ping but thats wifi lag not frequent lag spikes. but im sure a lot of peoples devices will lag because there is too many effects to the point where the sounds get messed up. titan sonic weapons and teslas do that a lot

Since you mentioned that iOS doesn’t have any lags.
I would like to differ from what you have said. The gameplay experience is horrible on iOS as well.
As soon as I am engaging with an enemy robot the frames drop or the screen is completely stuck and by the time the lag resolves, my robot is already dead.
Pixonic should focus on improving the gameplay rather than focusing on releasing new content every month.
The game is unplayable at this point.
Bro I try to load into a match and I get in, everyone is moving lag free in my screenn. But the game refuses to let me spawn at all. I just end up spectating the whole team minute match and have no clue why.
I have noticed it has gotten so bad that am literally firing several second after the target has left the window of attack. Close combat is literally me starting to attack a weak opponent then a frame skip and then im dead.
the lag get worst when Using teleporting robots, i have shenlou and when i use it it really really really bad
overheating is also a problem can play 10 games max before it turns into a Hand held fire brick

I play pubg mobile with 90 fps max possible frame rate there is till today. It does lag, but only at certain hot drops where 40-50 other people have landed. Otherwise it runs smoothly like citting butter with hot knife
Idk about band width but i have a wifi connection and play games from gtaV to pubg mobile without any troubles.
My phone also supports 5g so My phone can handle 30-40mbps speeds easily.
I'm on android and I have noticed a lot of lag lately too. More than usual and I'm running the game on my gaming PC. I can run Cyber punk at the max RT setting and maintain 120FPS but I can't hold 40 FPS in war robots 🙄
There's something wrong, since my ol rx570 stays at 60 at the highest graphic settings, probs compatibility issues
I think the android lag is why ive actually been dropped into a game that was already over a minute deep
on iOS or iPadOS, device heat/tempeture can be the reason of the lag and drop fps
Steam is a single platform. IOS is a single platform.
Android is a platform with different OS on different devices. Samsung, Oneplus, MI, Redmi, POCO all these have different OS though all are Android. Takes a lot of time to optimize for every device unlike IOS or Steam.
I played on steam for 4 or 5 years now i started on android in 2018 (I still sometimes play on that acc) i play in the meta on steam and never get any lags its crazy

The funniest part is, lag still does exist on Steam, just not for us. Android players teleport around on Steam making it harder to hit them XD

another point is that the game is more optimised on iOS and steam. at least the way the devices communicate with the server
It's much easier to optimize ios due to just having the regular iphone line up, but android has a crapton of phones and processors to optimize on

The amount of players and weapons effects are also a thing, if you play FFA you'll notice smother gameplay and less lag, in my opinion the game isn't optimised enough 😕 (I'm backing this up by the fact that lots of time the game gets blurry to some degree, does anyone have this?)
But the only prob with ffa, half the lobby is bots, other half leave, and your left with just one other enemy for whole fu*king 10 minutes, with those freakishly slow robots and stupidly large maps, if your powerful, that other enemy will most likely be hiding from you and you’ll spend all 10 mins going after him and not getting a single kill, or if your not as powerful, he’ll kill you every time you respawn, no fun at all

weird thing i noticed, max graphics as well as 60 fps both show not supported on my device, but at the same time i can run genshin impact or honkai impact at max graphics and shaders on 60 fps without issues, any idea why??

The game keeps randomly freezing for me despite playing the game completeley smoothly, it will freeze and then never unfreeze again and ti's completely random too. I think one of your squadmates in your fenrir video also froze and couldn't get back in the match. It's quite a big problem and kind of makes the game unplayable because you can't even do anything about it
Honestly I've just gotten used to ignoring it. I play on the minimal graphics but 60 fps, and I still notice a lot of lag, especially when dealing a lot of damage in a single shot. Sometimes I shoot and it registers a hit but deals no damage (I'm using Gauss)

Forget about the lag. As of version 10.1.0 on Android, the game crashes at startup on Samsung A52 running Android 13. Cleared game cache, uninstalled, reinstalled from the PlayStore, it still fucking crashes!!! WR is fucked beyond repair. LE: As for their PC version, it shuts down my Acer laptop while being plugged into an outlet. I had no other game do that.
Lag is pretty minimal on Steam/PC. As much garbage as they shoved into the game it's not surprising mobile devices lag out.
So it’s the servers that are creating lag? Same device so it’s not that. Whats causing this lag? I’m iOS and get lag occasionally. Worst lag I had was squadding with players from different countries, each player was from different country. The lag was bad.

I swear the lag is caused by ocho’s. It was so bad during the ocho meta in squad games. When the nerf came in and only a couple guys per team are playing them it’s much better. If you get 3-6 ocho’s on a map it’s horrible.

I see this kind of unfair, think about all the action and things going on the champion league, like all weapons, motherships effects and abilities, and how on the steam account it's like silver league where nothing of that happens, it's so much easier to run, and I didn't count the people that live so much far from the battle server that the lag it's so much noticeable

With android when playing with my dragoon crisis i often see the first or second hit not even counting which causes me some easy kills and deaths that shouldn't happen
If this game is cross platform meaning you can use your iOS account on Steam account to play on PC for example, then I will never touch the phone or tablet again
I have noticed that steam performs a lot better then on android as well.
Steam is more expensive than mobile. No video viewing and no local currency conversion..etc
I really wish pixonic allowed us to log into steam with our android accounts.
Unfortunately, I don't believe that pixonic. It has the man power and maybe the technical skills to improve performance. Seems they are heavily focused on the artistic Feel and look of the game over performance & user functionality/experience
Eg. Menus in grid mode need to be refreshed as they dont resize to fit screen.. pilot management challenging cant see pilot stacks and no grid view.. cross platform hangers.. cross platform clans.. etc..
It just appears that pixonic is dedicating. Developer resources for new content over fixing improving existing content. They seem to be breaking things along the way. But don't return to fix them afterwards.
I'll tell you this, pixonic does not support android emulators at all. So, don't bother contacting tech support and requesting them to fix any issues you may have. I had issues and sent in my request and the response i got was that pixonic does not support emulators and was told to either play on steam or my.games!

I'm not sure your test was an apples to apples comparison. The Steam play is using a lower league account, right? So bots are slower, lower class weapons, less effects. I would expect increased lag with increased bot speed, game effects, etc.
iOS is NOT without lag. I use a high end iPad with graphics set to medium at 60fps, and see lag continually. Internet connection is A+.
I think the lag is simply due to the increased complexity of the game. As you move up in leagues, bots get faster, more graphics effects, modules, motherships, etc., increasing game calculations are needed.
Maybe retest on higher league account on Steam? And I bet you'll see same amount of lag.
Guess who can't open their WR hangar for longer than 20 seconds without crashing because it of how unoptimized the game is!😊
Note: I can run Battle of Titans on the same phone and have never crashed once in my 4 years of playing it.

Thats the reason why tesla weapons work like magic because they hit regadless of aiming whereas you miss all your shots with sonic weapons beacuse of the lag. 😢... The main reason is badly written code with no optimization and they expect us pay tons for this crap 😅

Side note I have two fun Raven builds for you to try Pred. Wasp/Shredder and toxin/Venom the slimers. Both are awesome build to play. Not very powerful compared to META but I’m in Champion League and having a blast with them just for the challenge
Android on an emulator is not the same as on a mobile device…. I’ve tried everything and in my experience, iOS iPad Pro is optimized the best

Android players have temporarily lost their clans. It’s all part of the clan system update. Clans will be back when everybody gets the update.
Wait how come he’s on pc but can play as if he was on a android
