I haven't been able to listen to Linkin Park since Chester died and have recently got into a few kpop bands (a bit of a diversion in music tastes i know). Ateez are amazing in every way and this is so meaningful to me.

So I’m not an ateez fan (theyre incredibly talented but their music doesn’t suit my taste) but I was raised on LP and have seen them 4x in my life before we lost Chester. I've been living under a rock for 16 years and was raised with just music from our country, nothing from "outside" because we didn't afford to get a smartphone or PC. The TV also didn't broadcast "English speaking music"(even on the channels that are exclusively for music). My parents are traditionalists and of course that they don't know English so they limited themselves to just that kind of music and nothing else.
I have to admit that I am clueless ( with an emphasis on *clueless* ), but I'm always willing to learn, be it from ATEEZ or from someone else😊

All these years have passed, they made great music and the fact that people still cover their music and their meaningful lyrics makes me so happy. I also love Hongjoong being the one who covers it. Even if he was a child when this song came out, and he changed the style to suit his own better, I think he covered it exceptionally, with a lot of respect and I wish many people, who love either Linkin Park, ATEEZ or both of them, can appreciate this 💚

I honestly didn’t think anyone, although there are many extremely talented artists, could come close to Suga (my bias and/or Tae, my bias wrecker) but Hongjoong is like a combination of both of their musical talents, including rapping and producing like Suga with V’s great sense of style and humor. I will always be ARMY but Ateez is now my bias wrecker, largely because of Hunjoong’s personality and talents. I’m sure I will enjoy getting to know more about him and the other members. I apologise for my broken English, but I've been a LP's Street Soldier since I was 12. They're THE group of my life and they'll always be. "Numb" is such a meaningful song, mainly when you're still a kid hoping to fit in your parents' standards to make them feel proud. It's hard to get to know yourself and be emotionally independent. I came into K-pop 3 years ago and although I've always been a rock person, it appealed immediately to me. Yeah, I'm still surprised. Ateez is one of the most powerful and blowminding groups in the scene, but, boy, it's been so f***ing awesome! Thanks for this beautiful tribute. Chester would be proud.

I've been a Linkin Park fan since I was very small, and as i grew up, Linkin Park helped me get through a lot. I also found kpop about 3 years ago, and instantly fell in love with something new, that helped me find the motivation to keep living and fight against my depression. Chester would be so proud to see this.

So I don't listen to Ateez, but I love Linkin Park, I've been listening to them for years. and I have to say out of all the covers I've seen this is the best. He not only covered the song but also made it his own. I love his rap and his facial expressions throughout too. I may seriously have to start listening to Ateez now
Hong Joong is amazing! You should check out his other covers as well (love Linkin Park too this is my fav.) He covers Prince, David Bowie,and Michael Jackson! Almost forgot Wham!! He is very versatile and makes everything his style!! Hope you check out Ateez they are pretty amazing!! :-D

But first hongjoong is the most talented person I know, he is such an amazing artist and I feel so touched by this video because It was my favorite song when I was 12. Today Hongjoong is my favorite music because he is pure art, he is music himself. He creates, he shares and he feels what he does, so do I. I love him so much, he inspires me and gives me hope. Been listening to Linkin Park for about 15 years, and I really liked this cover. It's not the typical one when a singer tries to fit in the exact same song, he made it his own by giving it his style. Also, the MV looks gorgeous; the styling, the lighting, every detail created a whole atmosphere that fitted perfectly with the song. Good job, Hongjoong!
