@@tk80mufa5 no goalie on the planet is saving that if it doesn't hit them. It jumped at the very moment Fleury started to move his stick. Just an extremely lucky bounce.
Isn't it just really Fleury's fault? Like that looks like some lower division/league Euro goalie , 3rd or 4th league or something. How does Fleury not go down close his legs and use his catching glove to go for the puck? If he were a rookie, this would be an immediate end to his career, would it not?
@@tk80mufa5 That puck had a will of it's own! I lost it off of the first bounce but the way it veered directly at the net - Fleury made the right play to try to sweep it to the right side but the puck bounced unbelievably high right as Fleury went to play it. He could have had better positioning but it happened pretty fast. He didn't think the puck would reach him.
@@tk80mufa5 everyone and their dog can see it took a weird bounce right before he went to play it with his stick. No goalie on the planet is dropping to the ice to stop that.
You missed the Dallas open net whiff that was turned back up ice for a goal? Search it on RUclips. Fun fact, that goal gets scored and Patrick Kane is an Oiler not Blackhawk.
I used to score goals like this all the time when I played NHL '95 on Sega Genesis. I never thought I'd see a goal like this scored in real life until now.
I still think what happened to Patrik Štefan in 2007 was just a tad bit worse than this. And just like that game, the Oilers STILL lost when given golden opportunities.
funny part is it bounced off the snow in front of Fleury's crease, which i believe he is known for putting there. scraping snow with his skates and piling around his crease.
Yeah, there was a bounce but it was also curling from way out. I can't believe Fleury, with all his experience, didn't just get in front of it. I like the guy but he should be embarrassed.
Back in the Mid 70's L Robinson and K Dryden went for the Puck at the same time just below the Blue Line both Sticks hit the Puck and some how the puck ended up in the Habs Net ... lol O Memories ....
Was this the goal that one of the announcers was calling one of the best goals of the year later in the broadcast? (I didnt watch the whole game) Pretty flukey goal to be putting it in the best goals of the year category lol
You just can't give Draisaitl that much time and space around his own blue line, he's not gonna miss many of those
🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Funny dude. Really funny!!
😂😂 100%
🤣🤣🤣I can hear the commentator's voice. Best comment here.🏆
Love how 8 guys missed it before Fleury did. That puck had intentions.
Yes it did 😂
But tf was Fleury doing?
all of a sudden forgetting for a moment there who he was entirely?

Pretty sure there actually are goalies on the planet who would make that save (no disrespect to the great Fleury of course).

That has to be the longest strange bounce I've ever seen.
That bounce over the stick was brutal
Everyone just missed it didn't bounce

Nah Fleury's reaction after had me dead 😂
Drai from his spot just above the blue line

Draisaitl’s Office

Don’t worry wild fans. Bouchard on defence is a power play. Million dollar shot, 10 cent brain.

Strangest goal I have ever seen in 51 years watching hockey.

Somewhere, Vesa Toskala is nodding in sympathy for Marc Andre Fluery.
Never forget
Classic 😂
Oh nooo, fleurys gonna be on one of those top 10 embarrassing goal moments :'(
Of all time 😂😂
Top one.
He has several spots in the top 10 :'D
WeirdNHL moment
That last bounce over Fleury's stick was some straight Toskala luck lol.
Damn. The Oilers sure could’ve used that luck in Game 7 in Florida.
Didn't have to do them that dirty
They used all their luck just getting there
Luck took them there, but talent is why they went no further.
@@guyami8892 naw. You can’t win 3 playoff series with pure luck. It just doesn’t happen.
@@JojoB0iMan nope, but luck can be a big part of it and when the luck runs out, you see where you really stand.
In all fairness; I think the puck deserves all the credit for this goal.
what an assist from McDavid!
Nice to see the oilers finally on the right end of a goal like this
For real, skinner and smith always do something like this.
That puck had destiny in its rubber blood
That's a dang-it!
off 2 skates, over every stick on the ice, magically bounce RIGHT before the goalie..... wow. That puck had the back of the net in its sights.

A Leon Draisaitl snipe very nice
That was McDavid to Draisaitl in NHL 25. Sim is gonna sim 😂
"The toughest bounce he's ever seen!" Nope. Wold Juniors Gold Medal Game.
yup
Seems like it happens a lot to him
@ 😬 You’re not wrong, but I’m sure his Stanley Cup rings provide some comfort in moments of distress.
What a shot
Having mcdavid chasing so close helped for sure
looked like it bounced because of the ice Fleury roughend up infront of his net.

What I expected: Draisatl going end to end and roofing it
What I got: Fleury cosplaying as Toskala
"If you're a goalie...sometimes you're just F^#*ed."

Entire hall of fame career between that goal and the world juniors. Fitting the ghost of that goal would haunt him on his 1000th start.

Reminds me of the goal Tim Thomas gave up vs the Devils years ago
That was wild to see - my dad and I went to that game and were sitting over on that side.
What a odd bounce
It’s a different sheet of ice but Patrick Stefan is having nightmares watching that puck bounce right in front of the net in Edmonton.
Damn, Logo 3’s just keep getting crazier and crazier…
Anyone noticed it’s also #29 scoring on another #29?
its crazy to me fleury is the only player left who played in the 02/03 season, and one of two players left who played in 03/04. dude is a machine.
Small correction, he was drafted in 03 so he didn't play in 02/03. But yeah, a very long career

Where is Steve Dangle when you need him?

Fleury channeling his inner Elly de la Cruz at shortstop with that one
Goal of the season
0:50, that's a Patrick Stefan bounce right there.
Lmao that blonde in the Oilers jersey has the perfect reaction 🤣
Goal line technology! 🤫

When will that EVER happen again in hockey?
I genuinely feel bad for Fleury. That puck was a hot potato.
That bounce over the stick was intentional
A typically unexpected goal, but it happens sometimes
A hall of fame goalie let that in...
Its like Draisaitl moved the puck with magic or telekinesis or put a magnet on the puck and the net!
Why? Why did it have to be against the Wild?
That's not a puck. That's a drone.
The good old puck ice tilt from EA. Sometimes the puck just want in against you when you are up 2-0
