Hi brian, iv just bought a 2024 hybrid kona, can you tell me if i need to turn on the regen braking everytime i start the car because when i turn it on its not turned on whenever i start the car after after turning it off, Thanks
This is perfect and should be how we're allowed to set the car up to remember these settings each time. Surely someone out there knows of a way to alter these settings via OBD or something?
@@doolanbrian We just need someone to "unofficially" look in to it. :) For what im sure is a simple bit of code for someone that knows what they're doing they could probably make a bit of money selling it for people to upload themselves via OBD tools. The changes you can make via OBD on a VW Golf for example are endless.
Today we did a speed test with a 2025 model Tucson. It enters the limiter at 195 km/h. 1.6t, Htrac, Elite Plus model, final chassis. It would be better if there was no limiter, but we think the limiter is good in terms of safety.
@@doolanbrian, Yes, because we tried the new Tucson's speed, it stays at 195. No, we don't live near the highway, we live in the city. We tried it on the city road. The road was empty, we decided to do a speed test with the new Tucson. :)
I have a 242 face lift tucson hybrid ex+, and the smart tailgate function " when you are at the rear of the car with the smart key on you , the tailgate should flash six times and open, doesn't work, even though the function is set "on" in the settings
how to deactivate the coffee break sound? it's super annoying and too long tbh.. I drove for like 2 hours with no break and the sound for taking a break popped up a couple of times and continued for almost 1 minute or something :|
@@abdurrahmanosmanarslan8006 officially it’s not possible so you have to turn it off at the start of every journey unless you can get somebody to code it out aftermarket
For speed it up, both buttons can be pressed at the same time :)

@ I believe it is available through an update now 🙂
@@doolanbrian thanks .

@@craigmonty i’m sure there is a way to do it via coding but unfortunately officially we can’t look at that aspect as a dealer

@@craigmonty 😉 there’s a business there for somebody 🫡
I hope this shortcut it's going to be implemented on the i30 and Kona also (on the versions that have ISLA).

@@geziyorumgörüyorum59 that’s interesting so there is a programmed electronic limiter. I did not know that! Do you live near autobahn ?

Hello...how to turn off the start/stop system, is there any possibility, except that I have to press the button every time I start the car
@@crni550 you are correct unfortunately you have to press the button at the start of every journey to switch it off🫡

Still doesn't work
In my 2021 Tucson plug in, Sports mode would charge the battery. My new 242 doesn’t?? Any shortcuts??
@@EssexLaney ok 👍 I hadn’t realised this .. the running gear is pretty identical.. are you 100 % sure ?
@@doolanbrian Well I drove to Belfast on Tuesday and ran out of battery so switched to Sports and battery remained same the rest of the way!!
