Ethan is my favorite survivor. He is easily one of the most likable contestants ever. These were also the days when Survivor was more about the theme setting and actual survival rather than alliances and strategic moves.
I'm sorry this iy my first time watching Survivor and i just finished Borneo, Australia and now Africa.. But did we watched the same season? It was very strategic and had tons of alliances like the Youngers vs the Olders or Tom, Lex and Ethans alliance etc. :D It was heavily influced by alliances and strategic moves after the merge.
I'm new to Survivor since the lockdown earlier this year and this is really my 3rd season i finished. It felt like a new direction they were trying to go with and a little revamp. It felt like a new era away frosh fish and stuff. :D But i have to say that i rank this season lower as Season 1 Borneo and Season 2 Australian Outback. This season had so many unlikeable and annoying Cast Member. Like 60's of the cast :D Lindsey, Jessie, Diane, Clearence, Brandon, Linda, both Kims tbh. But who i liked the most were Ethan and Lex! Tom was annoying at first but was funny throughout the season
I think this season wasn't as good as the first two seasons but was overall still entertaining. The merge was when it got a bit better and more entertaining when all the flooders and annoying ones got evicted one by one. Clearence was good for entertainment like Frank but i knew neither of them had the potential to win. Silas played too hard and got catched pretty fast. Youngers vs olders was the stupidest logic by Brandon and them that i have ever witnessed during season 1 - 3.
The season finale 3 was definitley better than the 2nd season finale (Still hate Tina as a winner).. I was kinda rooting for Lex but wasn't shocked that he got evicted by Kim. She was trying to get rid of him for a while. I still hate that another flooder like Kim made it through to the finale after doing absolutley nothing and even costing a challenge for her tribe. Thank GOD Ethan won afterall. He deserved it! I really liked Lex and Ethan the most out of that season! Well deserved winner!
Clarence lied. He is a thief for eating 2 cheries despite the announcement that each person take one cherry. The tribe members should have questioned Clarence immediately when he didn't pass the can of cherry after taking one. What someone should have done was hold the cherry can, once someone has taken, then move to the next person for the second person to eat a cherry. Then, move to the next. When Clarence offered to look after Diane, someone should say "No, one of the gals will look after Diane. Clarence, you are coming with us to collect water." When this is said in the presence of everyone, Clarence will realize that he is being watched like a hawk. And he will realize that nobody trust him, and he is on the list to be voted out. Why did all the tribe members collect the branches for security upon arriving at the campsite ? It should have been 80% of them collecting the branches for security, whilst the 20% quickly start a fire. It's poor planning from the tribe members.

I agree, the early seasons are underrated because the tribes
have to really struggle to survive the harsh environment
