- I got married, eeekkk! 🥹 I started filming this in October 2022, documenting the journey and experience to getting my Wedding Dress for February 2024. We eloped on a Cruise Ship off the coast of Australia and had the most incredible day. It was an amazing experience getting the dress in the UK, and I loved having the chance to alter it and create the perfect dress for me. I hope you enjoy seeing how it all came about! I've just had to pause the video to say, the first dress I tried on made me cry. It was so beautiful and I actually looked beautiful, something I thought I'd never say about myself. Like you I didn't see myself that way at all. I tried on more dresses and went to 2 other shops but nothing compared to that first one and the others didn't give me that feeling. I wished I just stopped at the first one because there was nothing out there for me that was better. Your dress was so perfectly you and you looked absolutely stunning.❤

When I got married I had an idea of what dress style I wanted. The assistant said " can you try this one on for size " (it was nothing like the one I had in mind). I loved it , it really suited me. She smiled and said " I knew as soon as I saw you what you'd suit " she was definitely good at her job.
Brogan, you are amazing! So many women can relate to not always liking the body that looms back at us in the mirror and being uncomfortable in dresses that don't fit properly. Thank you for sharing that and being so brave to take us with you on a very personal search. You are gorgeous and this dress brought out the best in you physically and mentally. You were glowing! When shopping for my daughter's wedding dress, we had an entire Saturday booked to visit 5 different shops. We ended up buying the first dress she tried on! All day, we kept comparing everything she tried on to that first dress. Congratulations on finding your perfect dress!

I got married January 2023, as a curvy girl myself, I went down the route of a custom made dress as I wanted a black and white dress, and I totally agree, when you try on a dress it's about how it makes you feel. If you feel beautiful, confident and comfortable then that's the dress for you.

As someone who has been married almost 44 years; I was 20! I have so much respect for you both. In my experience, one of the things that can cause the most difficulties in a marriage is trying to fit yourselves into a "marriage category." Thinking that you have to do things a certain way because you are now engaged or married. I have seen many marriages fail because the couple were trying to do things the way their parents or friends had done. Your marriage should be unique. You and Benji are doing that and I think it's wonderful. I wish you both a lifetime of health and happiness.
My husband and I got married on October, 30th 1980. I was 17 and he was 19. We only knew each other for 3 months before we got married. So many people told me that I was too young. We were going to get married later then we did. We got married early because if ended up getting Guillian Barre Syndrome because of me getting a flu vaccine. Since he was in the army, and I had no insurance, we got married earlier than we wanted. I was paralyzed when we got married. I wish I would have been able to get married in my church with my pastor officiating. I had all kinds of ideas and dreams about how I wanted to get married. I had a dress picked out in my mind. My husband and I have talked about getting remarried and having the wedding of my dreams. When we got married, I was wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt. We have been married for 43 years now. We have never regretted getting married. When I watch videos like this one, I always think about how blessed I've been. Hopefully one day we will get remarried. The dresses you wore are beautiful. Both of you look like you have been blessed so much.
My dress shopping took about 2 hours and we went to one shop. I’d just had a baby and wasn’t really into it. My mom chose the dress, I didn’t even look at any (post natal depression for you) and it was beautiful and perfect for me, sometimes it takes someone who knows you and sees you in their eyes to pick what’s perfect when you’re not seeing it yourself.
Your wedding series has me feeling all the feels. When you cry when you try in a dress, it’s meant to be yours. I’m glad you followed your heart’s instinct on the very first dress you tried ion ❤️

Your dress was perfection and adding the sleeves made it even more ethereal and romantic. I hated wedding dress shopping bec I had the same insecurities and just felt miserable. I bought a beautiful off white dress with blush accents without ever trying it on. I saw the picture and loved it. Thankfully it worked out lol!! I think it’s so great how Benji was part of the process and even made comments and suggestions. You two are so perfect for one another. Congratulations!

When I got married in 1969 I ended up buying the first dress I tried on. When you know you know. I love the sleeves you added and the dress is truly gorgeous. Good choice on no veil. You are radiant. I cried when I watched your wedding video. Can't wait to see the rest of your trip. Love you both.

I found this so relatable. I found my dress after my first bridal shop visit, it was the 3 dress try on. I left it a few days, but found myself not wanting to look for anything else. Therefore I knew it was the one. I also felt the same about my body, but accepted that no matter how I feel about my body the right dress will make you feel amazing. I also found my dress in the first boutique I visited, with 3 further places booked and ready to go! I have really struggled with wavering feelings about my dress and worrying that I’ve not found as good a dress as I could, but I totally agree with you - when you know, you know and there’s never a formally definitive answer anyway. It’s like any aspect of a wedding - especially venues! - there will always be more options and things may look perfect on paper.. but nothing will ever match those feels you felt, so you have to learn to trust your gut!

As someone who also struggles with body confidence, I didn't have a clue what I wanted just tried on a load of dresses I thought would suit my body shape and really surprised myself because the dress I went for was the opposite of what I thought I would have wanted. Like you, I found my dress at the only shop that I visited, and I wouldn’t have changed this for the world, as visiting multiple shops would have been my worst nightmare. I resonated so much with your experience in front of the mirror and had a very similar conversation with my bridal stylist about ‘’not liking myself” but it’s incredible just how much those feelings went away when I found my dress! I wished I had seen this kind of message before I got married, I spent 18 months dieting and hating myself and pushing my body to look a certain way to fit “the dress” when I never realised my husband loved my body just the way it was and i missed out on the build up to the day as I was too busy cutting carbs. Nevertheless that wedding body has gone and after many years I’ve accepted my body and I bloody love how amazing it is! You are amazing brogan and look stunning!!

Ahhhh that was so wonderful!! 😍 I'm so glad you had such a good experience! I had a similar, yet very different experience with my dress haha! I got engaged in the height of COVID, so instead of going into dress shops I was incredibly lucky to find a store in my area that delievered dresses to homes to try on! Our first appointment was a zoom meeting where I picked the dresses I wanted to try (they brought me 4 different dresses), I tried them on in my mom's apartment with my bridesmaids over Zoom, and we found the one right away! My dress was kind of similar to yours actually haha, but more princess poofy 😂💖 Sometimes I wish I got to have the more "normal" experience, but at the same time it was so unique and special, and it was amazing how you just know when you put the right one on 💖 so happy for you and Benji, hope you're having an amazing time on the cruise! 💕

So I hated my wedding dress that I wore for our wedding in 2022 - was purchased in 2018 for a 2020 wedding. But unfortunately Covid made us delay which unfortunately made me fall out of love with the dress. I cried putting it on on the day itself, and even now writing this, it makes me sad. - you, Brogan, looked absolutely beautiful and the “feels” you get from the right dress is massive. Genuinely so happy for both you and Benji having your wedding day and seeing you both in your finery.
