The fact that you're giving dawah to your brother is very commendable. Islam tought us to look after our family and this is the best way possible to do it. Don't give up and remember that the results is not on us but Allah but you will surely be rewarded by what you do.

His name is Khalid Yaseen, he’s a revert too I think, from ny, my brothers father-in law grew up or hung around him in his youth. A lot of African Americans were first drawn to Islam through Nation of Islam, which was a semi militant nationalist group that used the civil rights movement to get followers. Then a lot of these people discovered true Islam, but they might still carry a tough nature from their pre-Islamic days. He’s very successful in getting people to revert because he speaks very straight forward without sugar coating.
I can see for people who are not believers he comes out rough but for us Muslims or at least for me its almost as reaffirming, strengthening kind good feeling about what we already know and believe.. for other might be little scary lol

I really understand your brother perspective towards his reaction to those who are making fun or disrespect his believe and as a Muslim we should not / never make fun or disrespect to any person regardless to his believe, ethnicity, poor etc… and I pray to your brother to find the right and straight path, since he has a pure sole and kindness also I would like to thank you for bringing your brother to watch good videos or clips about Islam god bless you all.
I've watch this video so many times. Every time I've had to hold back tears. I am not 100% but I felt it was emotional for you Rebecca especially towards the end. Correct me if I am wrong? Yes, I agree 100% with what your brother said, the first speaker/scholar did come across quiet direct and sharp in his tone. It's basically their passion spilling over after years and years of studying. It does put me off too. I think in this new era we live in, this needs to be recognised by such speakers as it will help many connect to his message. Your brother gets it - I understand as psychology and working with children and that how you communicate is important.
By the way Rebecca, you explained everything in a better way, I would have struggled.

Thanks for the feedback from your brother.. Yes thats why Allah calls upon His creations in two ways, either through the nice things and makes people comfortable to understand, and Allah also create the hard way because some people understands after hards things fall onto them.. Allah is all-knowing and knows best His best creations ^^ that people learn in different ways. Your brother learns the soft nice way, the same way I do, I prefer to hear more about Jannah and the best of Islam to learn and love Allah more and more rather than to scare myself with hellfire at all time (yes we learn about hellfire, but when I'm reminding myself to remember about Allah is by thinking the kindness of Allah and His messenger).. I understand the brother's feeling... 😊 I respect Arwah Ahmad Deedat and Dr Zakir, but I prefer Dr Sabeel more as my teacher if to choose ^^ yes and your sister is right about who we can choose to follow 🥰 we approach which we find comfort in the heart to listen to. They all brought the right messages but different methods.
Maybe u guys can react more on Prophets Muhammad's personality.. Prophet Muhammad was and is still we see as the living Quran 🥰

Khalid Yasin is truly one of our best daees out there. He has done great work for Islam and may Allah continue to bless him and everything he has done be a means for him to enter Jannah ameen. He is very forceful but his passion and the truth he speaks is clear to see. I always found his lectures very informative and inspiring.
I agree each preacher/shaykh/imam has a different style and some are a little more direct than others. It can be hard to teach a non Muslim about Islam, but it’s great that you can openly discuss it with each other!

These Muslim scholars (and of course there are many others) and their teachings are very deep, and they try to convey the true image of Islam by a very beautiful way.
