    Very, very nice video about my city. Lisbon it is what it is because of it citizens, you don't find anything in Europe like Lisbon, a big capital city with a feeling of a small village lost in time. Miradouro is "Look at Douro" in Portuguese. Douro is the magnificent river up north in Porto, the river of gold, the Unesco protected landscape were the Porto wine is produced. This is why we call Miradouro to a viewpoint i.imgur.com/SCF3beeg.jpg

      I just wanted to let you know that the etymology of the word Miradouro doesn't have anything to do with Douro river, although I've heard that definition before as populare culture. Miradouro comes from the latin word Mirari (in portuguese and spanish also use Mirar to define the verb To See, although more old-school portuguese). Douro is just a common suffix in portuguese to demonstrate that the verb becomes a place made by it's own action. So a place to "mirari"; a place to see.

    I love Ginja. BTW, it's pronounced almost like Ninja. You're trying to pronounce things in Spanish, instead of Portuguese. Stuff look similar, but the pronunciation of a lot of vowels is very different. I love mixing Ginja with apricot or orange juice.

      @@TripleP Thank you! I've been to Portugal a couple of times, but sadly my boss, with whom I often travel, doesn't like big cities. So we went to Lisbon once, but he wouldn't go into the centre, just be around the outside. Sintra was very nice, but instead of all the time I spent among plants, I would have rather spent on streets. That's more like my thing. :D

      Hey Antonio! I actually tried really hard to find Fado music which is royalty free but was unable to. So had to resort to what was closest. Would be great to also see some positive comments, instead of only focussing on one aspect that you may not have appreciated. :) But thats fine. Thanks for watching anyways.

      Classic guitar... It always existed in Portugal... Which guitars join the voice in fado music? Portuguese guitar and the CLASSIC guitar of 6 strings 🙄🙄🙄

    • @hjs8092
      @hjs8092 5 лет назад

      It might be also the classic guitar used in Portugal as in Spain. It’s not clear if the music is Spanish or portuguese/ Brazilian.
      Of course if it was fado was easier to be sure that is portuguese.
