Yes, do more for this series. One of my essential tools is (kind of silly to even mention this as its so obviously already in most art kits) a mechanical pencil. No need to worry about sharpening. Another tool I use a lot is a Square ruler. I have a set of square rulers that I bought for sewing, but ended up using them for paper crafting, drawing, notebooking, and so many other purposes.
I’ve used quilting rulers(square and rectangular) since I started cardmaking 10 years ago. Couldn’t afford a die cutting machine or good paper trimmer and the rulers work great.🧓🏻🇺🇸👋
Oh, what fun!! Thanks for the introductions to this interesting tool. One is in my cart!! My very senior husband is now physically handicapped, so I'm always looking for ideas to unleash his creativity. He loves coloring (also great mental and small muscle therapy), and I think he would really enjoy this tool. Thanks so much. Keep the ideas coming!! Pause. OK, I think we each need one of these circle makers!!
PLEASE do more of these ASAP!! I put together art boxes for my grand children every year for Christmas, ages 7-16. I just ordered 8 of them (1 for me🤣) More ideas please!! This is a great start!
This has become the "forgotten tool" for me. I have one but do not know how to use it so there it sits in a drawer, hope i can find it! ha ha!. Thanks very much Jennifer for this video. I'm going right now to look for my forgotten tool😆😄👍💜
What an awesome idea for a series. With this product you are off to a good start. I wasn't even a 1/4 of the way through your vid and I ordered! Thanks so much :)
I love that. I wished I had that years ago. Especially, when I was trying to do circles in pastry. Everyone should have 2or 3 or even more. Thank you thank you to showing me this. I am getting one for my granddaughter and daughter in law too.
Yes, more tutorials like this one. I too have one of these but didn’t know how to use it. So please more about your favorite tools and especially how to use them!
I enjoyed this so much. I have one of these tools and it cracked as well and I will use your suggestion with padded envelope. BTW, side comment: I REALLY REALLY enjoyed how you placed your pencil down FIRST and then the ruler to guide the pencil. I will implement this into my artwork immediately. Thank you. Beautiful mandalas. I can't wait to go home and pull out my helix tool.
I love that tool! 🤩 Do you know Nailart sets? In these sets you usually find little brushes and other tools. I use these tools for my art. 1) The brushes are really tiny and perfect for blending details with liquids. 2)The tool for cuticles I use as a denting tool. Example: give a leaf a base colour and use the cuticle tool for denting the details in your leaf. If you use a second colour, the dented part will always stay in the base colour. 3) Sandpaper. I use sandpaper to make my own graphite powder. I putt the powder in a little jar. I also use sandpaper to clean my eraser(pencil). To prevent all the sharpening. 4) desk vacuum cleaner. I really hate to have crumbs from pencils or eraser on my desk because I always smudge (by accident) the crumbs at the wrong place. So that tiny vacuum cleaner cleans that up. 5) an art glove. A glove that only covers your pinky finger and ring finger. The glove prevents smudging. I use lots stuff for my art 😅
I watched much of this video with my jaw on the floor. Okay, not really on the floor, but my mouth was literally open as I watched an amazement! 😮So cool and fun!❤
I thought the closing circle was cool but that one is quick to make circles. If they break easy maybe one of those and a metal closing and opening circle? Thanks for sharing this type of circle tool 🤗❤️👍🏽💯
Thank you for this video, Jennifer and Steve!! I LOVE the idea of doing a series. I have two of these Angle and Circle makers, and I love the details you go into with your explanations and demonstrations on the different ways to create perfect circles! I will save this video for reference on the different ways you can draw perfect circles with this!
Thank you for the information about this tool, I definitely need to order one! I just subscribed to your channel because I love how you explain things. Thank you for sharing your know -how.
It might be also be excellent for colorwheels! Concentric circles are almost impossible with other templates ! Only a pair of compasses works the same or similar!
I Love tools for the trade. This helix is a great tool and if you like circle drawing please try the IRIS circle drawing compass tool. If you go for the high end choice IRIS then do put it on display, it comes with a stand for its beauty!
I do have a couple of favorite tools too. One being a rectangular quilting ruler - even though I'm not a quilter. It has multiple angles marked on its surface, so I use it for mitering the corners on book covers and cutting pretty much anything at an angle. They are great, and inexpensive. Bonus: If you have a large stamp, the quilting ruler can make a good stamp block.
Thank you! This is a great idea! A tool I love is a clear ruler with a grid pattern, used for quilting. I use it all the time for centering elements in card making.
I can't draw a straight line with a ruler so there's no way I'd attempt to draw a circle! This looks like a really useful tool and it's a little more expensive in the UK but not by much so it's going on my list. Thank you for the really clear demo and the tips on how to use it. It's really great that you feature products that are reasonably priced, as crafting can be so expensive Thank you also for featuring products that can be bought outside the US.
This series is a fantastic idea. I never ever heard of this helix tool before now. Now, I understand how to use it, too!! I'm adding this tool to my cardmaking toolbox.
That's so cool! Thank you! I can't wait to try it! That's cheaper than buying a Spirograph and much easier to use. I made my SO buy me a Spirograph a few years back for this very reason, but that tool is so much better!
I needed to add about $6 to my Walmart cart to get free shipping. This was perfect! Thank you Jennifer! My favorite tool is an erasing shield. I have multiple around the house. When you were drawing your mandala, I could see where you could use the erasing shield.
Its not the most essential but I LOVE my lightboard and am glad when I could spend the money to add that to my toolbelt 😊 its not very expensive but it is more than ten dollars 👍
Thanks for this demo Jennifer! I got one of these but was a little confused about how to understand some of the marks. This cleared things up. I’d love more tool demonstrations like this!
WOW!! Thanks! I have some circular ones. But THIS is what I will be getting. THANKS.. I'll be looking at more from this New Serious! You ate such a Joy to watch. You voice us so soothing.. 🤗🙏🕊🤟❣
❤loved this video! Reminded me how best to use my 'helix' tool. Very interested in more mandala help so that I could make (all of mine, I confess, are a mess! 😂) TY Jennifer & Steve - Julie, Seattle
Yeeeessss, I love that circle tool. I have one along with a whole "geometry" kit. I love all the tools. The first thing I did with it was make fart bubbles for my mermaids. They were so perfect.
I'd enjoy seeing more of these tool videos. This one was enjoyable and I think I may need to get myself one of these helix circle makers. When I first saw the thumbnail for the youtube video I thought I knew what the tool was and how to use it , but I was wrong. Thanks for sharing and demonstrating it. :)
Mandela or a colouring colour wheel. I use it for teaching colour theory too…I also have a rotating wheel with a mini blade cutter for cutting card circles but i use that just like this but its. But bigger so handy too. I will get one of these too. Good lesson.
You could also use the interior dot circles as a pivot point and make even larger circles. I'd imagine up to about 10". Although I am guessing on size as I do not own one.
I’ve had one of those tools for a long time. I just have to find it. I moved almost 3 years ago and I am still finding my art supplies. I think I have too many supplies. 😅
Wow thanks for sharing this. I just ordered one but almost $16 here in Canada. But I can see it will really help me. Now if I could found a stencil of a 1/4 moon. Lol
Ok unsold me but there is one that does 12 inches for same price...may ir may not be as nice as this..ther3 is no demo to tell...u gonna do a video on it?...i cant decide
I got let go from my nanny position today. I was with the family for a year and a half. Please pray for me. Thank you.
That tool is EXACTLY what I didn't know I needed!
OMG this is so awesome! So much better than the compasses we used in school!
I have had mine for over a year now and I love it. I especially use my first swatching as well. I think I got mine at hobby lobby

That circle tool looks like it would make your own color wheels for color mixing

Same for me😂Hope I can find mine as well.
Me too, never knew how to use it……and I found mine!! Can’t wait to try it. Thank you 💕
Add me to the list. I got one a little while ago & now I'm excited I have it!!
Ok. The spinning circle got me👏👏👏 The smaller circles look like the planets.
What an awesome idea for a series. With this product you are off to a good start. I wasn't even a 1/4 of the way through your vid and I ordered! Thanks so much :)

I bought one of these a year or more ago. Can't remember why but now, thanks to you, I know how to use it. Thank you. Should be a great series.

Never heard of this tool before, but I wonder how I got along without it. One is on its way to me now. TFS!

I'm excited for you and the new session. I'll be watching every time the bell rings!!!
Reminds me of Spirograph lol
I still have mine from the 60's.
@@marytesta3003 I have my moms from the same time era! 💕
Oh I love this, I didn’t know how it worked. Thanks for the lesson. ❤️🙌🏻
I ordered one of these after I saw you using it and I love it!

Many tools for nails are great for art work. Many of them are the exact same, but products sold as art supplies are much more expensive.😊
@@fampetersen8406 true!
I have and love this tool! Great for mandalas.
Such great info. Thank you! Excited for more.
I watched much of this video with my jaw on the floor. Okay, not really on the floor, but my mouth was literally open as I watched an amazement! 😮So cool and fun!❤
Thanks, I have one of those but have had trouble manipulating it as easily as you do. Your demo will help me a lot.
Ooh! I love new tools!
I like the little dots for the background. Have you done a video for art journals? I would love to make myself an art journal. 🦋🥰🦋
Have it! Love it!!
This is great for mandala drawings

Loved learning how to use this tool. Im looking forward to your series!!
I have this tool, and it is so helpful! Aside from just circles in general, it helps greatly when you’re drawing wreaths!
When you put the tool on the cupcake, the zeros where it said 'start' on both sides looked like the cupcake had eyes. 😂
Awesome idea would love to see more tools ❤

Love it! Got one for my daughter to use in her classroom (and one for me).
I like your hair color 😍 very pretty
Helpful tools for crafting is a great idea for videos! Thank you so much.
Can you do a video about using a compass? I get so confused.

Nice
I remember seeing you this tool in a different video and I had to have it. I did order it on Amazon and I have to say I love it.
*Love it, but could use one twice as big for mandelas and such!*
Loved this video. Definitely like more like this❤. I have something similar but smaller and now I know how to use it! Thanks Jennifer
That's the same one I have 😁
You could also use the interior dot circles as a pivot point and make even larger circles. I'd imagine up to about 10". Although I am guessing on size as I do not own one.

I have one of those but forget to use it...thanks for the reminder!
I do custom tile work also. The circle maker would be really handy for that.
I just ordered it. I didn't know it existed. Great video.
what a wonderful tool Thank you for Sharing dear 💖
This is so neat. What else do you have in that toolbox?
Greetings!!
looking forward to more art tools.
For anybody that can't find the Helix model, EK Success makes a version too. The circle templates ar around the outside ring.
I’ve had one of those tools for a long time. I just have to find it. I moved almost 3 years ago and I am still finding my art supplies. I think I have too many supplies. 😅
I have one already and love it!❤
Wow thanks for sharing this. I just ordered one but almost $16 here in Canada. But I can see it will really help me. Now if I could found a stencil of a 1/4 moon. Lol
Been wishing I had that...thankyou!!!
Yes it's a great idea I by tools then don't know how to use them

I think I'll just stick to my compass.
