I’m trying to find a match. I found one that looks like the same mold but different colors. Do you know if it is exclusive to this set? I can see why you like this one! The two trains can keep running without crashing for a while. I’m very pleased with the set even with the missing piece. It would have been expensive to get this set online with it being such a large box. I’ve been searching for my LEGO trains and in moving boxes I’ve misplaced my plarail track 🙄 lol!
Thank you for making this video! This set is very nostalgic to me. The day after my mother passed away, my dad went to Toysrus and purchased this set for me and my brother to play with. My whole tomy collection growing up revolved around this set. Thank you sharing! Such a fun blast from the past!
wow! nice find of that big non-Thomas Tomica Tomy train set! I have rarely seen the non-Thomas motorized road vehicles go up for sale on eBay, so that makes this set even more cooler! I've never seen those motor types on those engines before! I find it odd they require the body to be on to work! 6:23 i was expecting the crane truck to have a similar motor to the tomy Bertie with a AAA battery! I think Mattel should make a Trackmaster set like this where there are two engines, two loops, and no gimmicks to reset! Just a pure train set!
You have such an odd way of saying Tomy and Tomica lol. Joking aside this is a fantastic find. That trick of pushing with power on is actually quite common practice, It's the first thing you try when buying a seized up used Plarail engine.

I own this set I love it one of my favorites. it includes two of my favorite Japanese trains the Furano Express and the Meitetsu Blue Liner !
I bought this set brand new For the Meitetsu Blue Liner which was a limited release in Japan.
sometimes you gotta spin the wheels a bit to get the motor going
both of these were real express trains in Japan and looked exactly like the Tomy versions you have.
