Great great esplanation! Thank you Sir
Thanks. I appreciate your comment. For more material please visit my website www.mttedu.org. Regards
Great videos Mr Lopez. Will the temperature of the raw water affect the performance of the sub cooling process? Osea, temperature Del Mar 86 degrees vs 78 degrees del mar. Thank you for the great explanations?
Yes, with high ocean temperature the heat transfer decrease.
What is better, a chiller system or a split gas system? With the chiller system you are chilling water in a hot engine compartment. But with a split system, the cold part is in the cabin and the hot part in the engine room.
Chiller systems are more efficient , and also they require less amount of gas flowing through the cabin. In small boats with only one or two units, sel-contained units and split units are a better choice
@@mrlopezclasses So you are saying that gas is expensive, so you don't want to be running gas lines all over the boat? What about the problem that the chiller is in a hot engine room?
@@johnkosowski3321 The ambient temperature doesnt affect the system performance due than the condenser coil is cooled by raw water and the evaporator coil is inside of the chiller box surrounded by coolant (Glycol + H2O).
@@mrlopezclasses I don't understand. Is there not a chilled water reservoir in the hot engine room? You are chilling something inside a hot engine room. Should that chiller be placed elsewhere? Isn't that the point of the split system?
Thanks.
Under what circumstances can a chiller vapor lock
1.- Lack of raw water. 2.- Low lever of Refrigerant. 3.- Moisture in the refrigerant
