I'm currently transferring from a community college to a public, 4 year university in Illinois and what Tasha said about working hard in your classes is definitely important! I actually didn't decide on my major until this semester and I'm applying for next spring semester because I get my Associate's in the fall! Because I have so many credits and I'm getting that degree, they don't require my high school transcript or my ACT. So I definitely recommend not slacking off, even if it's "just a community college." I know so many people who aren't taking it seriously and they're having trouble transferring and having to do extra classes!
I found this super helpful! USC has been my dream school since I was a little girl, but it is super selective. I really feel like I am going to get in, but I applied to 6 other schools just in case. If I don't end up getting into USC this year I am planning to transfer my sophomore year as well.
I'm a freshman in college right now and want to transfer my sophomore year so this was really helpful! I was wondering if you found housing before you got into USC or how you did after you found out you got in? Thanks!:)
Thank you so much for this video. I've been going through the same thing and am currently trying to transfer to USC. I'm proud of you for transferring!
This will be my second time transferring schools. I started at my community college, ended up at a school that I didn't click with (and I want to change my major), and now I am currently applying to transfer in the spring to University of Buffalo!
LoliiPrincess I'm going to transfer from community college in a year, hope you like Buffalo. I've never been updatable but I hear it's nice, the SUNY I was supposed to go to was Buff
How was your adjustment from NY to Cali. I'm from NYC and I want to transfer to a college in California . I've always wanted to go to school there but people say it's so different there
Tasha I was wondering if you could talk about how you got a 31 on the ACT? That's amazing! I'm taking it soon, and I would really love to hear how you did so well on it!
xxBeautyFly24xx I got a 31 too. My 2 biggest tips are: do as many sample problems & practice tests as you can before you take the test. On my first practice test, I went in with no preparation and got a 25. Then I did a prep class and did some more prep & took it in April on the school testing day and got a 28, but it was mainly 1 section that brought it down (I think it was reading). I knew I could do better so I retook it in September and improved my score in almost every section. Also, pace yourself. This is especially true for reading and science. With science, I never read the little passages before the questions because you don't need to refer to them very often. Your reading speed will really determine how much you can do, but for me I knew I wouldn't be able to thoroughly read every passage on the reading, so I didn't read them as closely and then referred back to them if I needed specifics--I would underline the topic sentence so I knew what the paragraph was about. And remember that, if you don't do as well as you want to, you can always retake the test. Many times when you retake it your score increases (this is not always the case) because of familiarity with the test.
I so badly wanna transfer to USC buy my grades are honestly dog shit , I've always wanted to do a dual study at USC .. film and business but usc is helluh expensive for me and my grades don't cut for it .. fml
hey!! i just got in as a transfer student and was wondering if they let you take courses at community college in the fall and if those credits transferred over?
Hey I am going to be transferring to USC as a junior, I was wondering what the top sororities are to rush and who the top frats on campus were haha. Thanks Tasha!
I'm a sophomore right now and I'm basically doing the same thing as you but I'm going to community college while I wait to hear from the university I'm applying to. Can you give us an update on how your transition has been from a university for a CC, and how the dynamic because your living bc USC but haven't started taking classes yet?
I got into LMU for this Spring, but I really wanna go to USC :///// I’m in community college and I’m on my first semester as a junior, and I really don’t want to wait for a “what if” :(
How many classes did you take to get to 30 credits to transfer to USC as a sophomore and what classes exactly did you take? I need to know because I’m planning on doing that since I’m planning on transferring to the USC film school as a sophomore and I want to know what classes I need to take in order to get to 30 credits for my freshman year and what classes I should take to get to it.
Hi! I don't know how I stumbled upon your videos but I was wondering something. I'm trying to transfer into LMU for my sophomore year. I'm currently in Chicago in a very nice university but I don't connect with the people here or with Chicago in general(especially the weather lol). So I got an update on my admission for LMU saying that they deferred my application and want to see my final grades(but I'm on a quarter system so I updated them on that because we don't finish until June 6th). I was wondering from you since you transferred as a freshman, do you think a deferral is good sign? I'm really not sure if it is or isn't. Either way, I'm trying to raise my psych grade to get a 4.0 but still. If you're able to answer then Thank you!!!
How do you apply as a sophomore?? Because I want to transfer as a sophomore too, but I was confused on how many units I should have to transfer to USC in Public Relations major. Please rep me as soon as possible :), lol I just got rejected from USC for Freshman admitted so I have to prep myself right now :(.
Hi! I totally understand what you're going through. Im taking the sophomore year transfer process to. Anyways to answer your question, in order to transfer in as a sophomore, you will need to take 30 units. You can apply with less but 30 guarantees that they will only look at your college stats. If you're under 30 they will also look at your high school grades. For public relation, they ask for at least 1 semester of foreign language in college unless you pass with a 4 or 5 on the AP exam. You also need to have a letter of recommendation as Tasha as mentioned. This is basically it, best of luck!
Anonymous It depends. I would say that this is the stereotypical accent, but there is also a Hispanic accent in hispanic majority areas of Los Angeles and Southern California.
Your instagram is goals af. But go you for getting into USC!! Such a good school
+Madeline Mitchell Ahhh thank you so much
Thank you so much for making this!! I'm about to go through the transfer process and USC is my dream school, so this was super helpful
+Katie Newsom Best of luck!

you should definitely do vlogs at USC!
Probably you had less than 30 transferable units that's why they asked you for your high school GPA and test scores
I just applied to my first college today! thank you for sharing your story, I can't wait to see what is coming next for us both :)
How did it go?
I found this super helpful! USC has been my dream school since I was a little girl, but it is super selective. I really feel like I am going to get in, but I applied to 6 other schools just in case. If I don't end up getting into USC this year I am planning to transfer my sophomore year as well.

31? More than 25% of students admitted to USC Class of 2022 had ACT score of 35 or 36.

Does USC care about which college you transfer from? Or can it be any college anywhere in the states?
Go to college entrance writing workshops about how to write entrance essays! They really help!
