You and Na'eem are two of my favorite photographers. Man the pictures you two take are truly stunning. Much love to you both and thank you for consistently inspiring! 💞
That was one of your best walk around videos, and the results were excellent. Your man Naeem has an excellent dress sense and looked the business. Big tip: Use Tesa Tape on your camera. It's a black cloth tape made for wrapping car wiring looms. It's low tack and moulds itself to whatever it's wrapped around. When on, it's virtually invisible, and the cloth texture actually helps with your grip on the camera. When your done, it comes off easily, and leaves no residue. It also works really well on camera bellows. It's available on the big auction site and isn't expensive. I use it on cameras were the light seals are shot, and it works perfectly.
Yep, same here. I replaced the light seals myself, but, in order to maintain my sanity, I always place a piece of electrical tape around the sides of all backs, when attached to camera. Not an issue, as I usually shoot a 2-3 projects on the same roll . Your looking great. Thanks KB
Awesome dude! Love the pics of the dude on the aluminium scaffolding but all ace photos. 🤓🤟 great to hear all the familiar sounds of the 500c, hope the light leak issue gets sorted soon for ya. 👌
YOOOOOOOO! YOU BOTH KILLED IT WITH THEM STREET PORTRAITS!! MY FAVES WERE OF THE GUY IN THE STREET (WHERE THE RANDOM GUY WAS TALKING ABOUT HE GOT A BEAUTIFUL FACE LMFAO) AND THE SET WITH APT BOYS!!! THAT SHOT WITH THE CLOTHES LINE WAS DOPE AF TOO!💯🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 - THE BLACKMAN ARMED WITH A CAMERA
I don't have a posh Hassy, but a Kiev 88 and I do use the black tape as well!!! I have yet to get the nerve up to take street photo portraits ... you are awesome!!!
Another fun watch Ribsy!! Get those light seals fixed my man!! You shouldn't have to worry about electrical tape when out shooting... With full manual Hassy, you got enough on your brain trying to get a good exposure without worrying about light leaks... Have a GREAT day!! CC ps. What lenses were ya'll using?
thanks - yea gonna repair it shortly. i was using the old hasselblad zeiss 80mm 2.8, and naeem was using the rollei zeiss 80 2.8. very similar lenses prob engineered by the same exact people
Hands down Ribsy you and Naeem inspired me to start doing street portraits. Starting with a Rolleicord for now, strictly monochrome. Cheers from Toronto, ON Canada
I finally got round to watching this video and really loved it. Loved the shots and how much fun you and Naeem are. Do you find that people tend to be more natural/comfortable when you use a waist level finder as opposed to portraits on your pentax 67 or Canon P ?
Oh yeah! I've got color coded electric tape, red is useful and a little peice of black kids construction paper. Got some on the frame counter of my yashica 44 and so I can just shoot some sprockets with peace of mind.
Many props to you both for approaching strangers, making them feel comfortable, and getting fantastic street portraits!
thanks!
Both of you are taking such great portraits here and the video is super well done too. Thanks for sharing!
really appreciate the support!

@@ribsy and "I wear dead people's clothes".. "Yeah, I shoot dead people's cameras" 🤣 Never thought of that before
@@Spencer_White “I wear dead folks clothes” is a pin a was wearing. I thought it might be a lil morbid when I wore it, but ppl like it. Lol
Nice, bringing a little Holga chique to Hasselblad :)

Really nice video! I'm trying the tape, the seal replacement on the backs looks a little intimidating.
yea i think i will send it to the shop and have them do it
Just going to say, the video itself has Kodak Gold vibes, Great portraits from both you and Na'eem as always :D
i put a lil film emulation on the video footage 😁
Love the portraits man, big fan of your work. Also love seeing Naeem in your vids! Keep it up!

Thumbnail could be an album cover. Love these vids my man
appreciate that!
Great photographs taken buy the both of you
Thanks!
The dark room Color printing snippet at the end kind of makes me want a video about that process. I have zero knowledge on dark room printing
yea! i'll be making more videos about that soon -- check out some of my old videos
