Martin, don't change a thing! Since my indoctrination to high performance drag cars in the 1960's, nothing I've ever heard "announces" better than a blown fuel car. Oh, I do appreciate the bucking, snorting and popping of those Super Stock class cars, but nothing says fire and lightning like the thunder in the tubes of a blown fuel car. For those new to the hobby or just learning about the sounds and smells of high performance motors, you'll eventually understand when you learn to savor the sound of horsepower and the smells of oil, fuel and burned rubber. If that don't get your heart rate up, you don't have a pulse.
If it’s running good and sounding good . I would not change a thing . Everyone has their own way of tuning. it’s your passion and performance run it !!!! I love to hear that HP SURGE 😎
Most people run EFI on the street. MFI was designed for full throttle racing before they had EFI. You can run gasoline with MFI but it's also difficult to tune for the street.
@@jimharbison7589 Tries to freeze. The more fuel the more condensation on the injector hat and blower. Rich or lean the air controls the idle speed. On MFI the spring pressure in the idle circuit check valve controls the amount of fuel at idle.
I love blower surge. But i like it natural. So on carbs its bad tune or made to happen. Mechanical let it surge. Can smooth out with higher idle as well
A blown big block without the surge is disappointing to me…..LOVE it!

Very nice explaination. Is there no way of attaching an accelerater pumb? Does the same problem occure when using gasoline?

It sounds like a alcohol blown motor love it
Hard to beat the sound of a blown alcohol engine.
Thanks for watching.
@@Layznc yes and if you were to increase the amount of alcohol for smooth idle, wouldn't the injector plates freeze ?

With carbs and a electric fuel pump they are most likely tuning it to surge. Thanks for watching.
RPM, NOT RPMs/ revs per min
