Story: Dovespider is in love with Fallensun. Oops, Fallensun already has a wife. Dovespider is pissed. She can't bring herself to kill Fallensun, though, so she kills Reedpath, who looks sort of similar. Maybe she starts flirting with Rowanshade or something to try and make herself feel better, but then she decides she's more into the nameless "Wrenpaw's father". She kills him, too. Then she coughs up ginger hairballs to symbolize her guilt in a way, I guess. Then she kills herself because she feels bad. The end. Maybe?
Pretty much! Fallensun and Dovespider were close as apprentices, but he basically started ignoring her once they became warriors + he got into a relationship. Rowanshade had been her friend for a long while, so she never saw him in a romantic sense, despite the color of his pelt (fun extra thing, Rowanshade had feelings for her but she never found out about it oops). Her story is meant to be tragic in a “shakespearean comedy” sense where everything could have been easily avoided and her problems were 100% self-inflicted.
My only question is- why did she kill the “Wrenpaw’s father”? But besides that, this is such an amazing animation! The timing, the details, and even the backgrounds are perfection!
She killed Wrenpaw’s father since orange pelts just reminded her of Fallensun. It was easier to take out her anger towards Fallensun on other toms since she still had feelings for him

One of my ocs, that I made 6 years ago, had so much self-hatred and blame that her thoughts threw her into a deep depression. Due to her medical issue (which is based on the CRPS in my own knee and the fact that I have major depression, I used my writing as a vent so I added all the things and truama I've had/have to deal with personally 😅) she felt like a worthless burden to everyone she ever loved, leading to her trying to commit suicide, via death berries.
Can I just say that I LOVE the name, Dovespider? I love it because the 'dove' part is Dovespider being sweet, and kind. The 'spider' part is her getting jealous of Fallensun and his mate so, she kills other gingers because she can't bring herself to kill Fallensun. The name describes her and her story so well, and I love that!
I have a similar oc with a similar story with mates. Lemme tell you the story, it's... interesting. Desertsun, a pretty yellow and orange she-cat falls in love with a dark forest cat, Leafclaw. She has kits with him, but then realizes her mistake when she realizes he's from the dark forest. Her sister jumps off of a cliff, and it builds her guilt. She runs off, only to come back to Leafclaw. He brings her to the dark forest, but in her anger, she kills him and puts him in the river. She comes back to the dark forest and trains there. She meets another cat there, a cat named Snowypelt. She has (yes, more) kits again, but he dies from greencough. Thinking it's her fault, Desertsun runs off again and has been living as a rogue with her kits, both litters. It's a work in progress.
This is so similar to actual crimes in the real world.. Let me change it up a bit so you all can understand what I’m saying: She falls in love with a ginger furred tom. He is already in love with another. Instead of killing him herself, she goes on to obsess over ginger toms, seeing them as the tom she loved. It’s almost like each time she kills another, it’s as if she’s killing him over, and over, to make herself feel better. This has happened in the real world before, so many times. (I’ve been watching criminal minds too much! 😳😂) She obsesses over gingers specifically, seeing them as someone she lost/once loved/loves, anyone who somewhat resembles the man she loves is in a danger. It relieves her, makes her feel better, almost as if she’s trying to make him regret that he hadn’t chose her? That’s all I really gathered but.. I really love this!

She tries to replicate this feeling from killing the first cat again with her second victim but it fails and instead is filled with guilt and punishes herself with death.
