I personally don't see the attraction, but to each his/her own. My son says that's not a trail.... "It's a river.." lol

So cool seeing new videos. Many of us that followed you on the AT have been looking to scratch the itch that your absence left. Your method of sharing is just so approachable, personal, straightfoward, unedited and so very much appreciated Safe travels #HN!

Betty, I made the mistake of watching day one and two back to back! I'm exhausted and it's 10:30 am in Navarre on a beautiful sunny morning. Thanks for doing this for us (both the Trail and videos)!

Wow, so happy to see you again. I followed you on the AT and love it. Hope the trail gets better. I can’t imagine walking through all that particularly with the possibility of snakes and gators being around. Safe travels!!

I attempted to do the same stretch of 30 miles in Big Cypress in over two days in November. Loved it but just found it impossible to keep up speed going through the endless knee high water. Didn’t finish until the sunset on day 3.

This reminds me of Earth Day two years ago when I put on a dry suit and "hiked" ¼ mi up a river (repeatedly) to cut up and extract a washing machine that was visible from my most-visited county park trail. I reap the benefits of not having to see trash out in the wilderness everytime I'm out there, but if the matching dryer ever turns up down there, I think I'm just going to move. 😅

I regret to inform you that while Big Cypress is hard...Bradwell Bay is worse...fortunately it's only about 6 miles through Bradwell. The North Florida swamps are the worst.

Listening to your constant complaints it seems like the section between Tamiami Trail and I-75 took you completely by surprise. Maybe you should have researched it before you got in there

I live here and cannot imagine people not used to our weather and ecosystem doing this. I would not in a million years, especially El Niño… I’ll kayak through some of that, but not hike. Water moccasins
