Truck driver here, I get bored of music after an hour, so I usually wind up listening to reddit compilations. I appreciate the actual speaking you do for reading these instead of the computer program that stops and stutter for a minute on a letter/word. I'll subscribe to this
I worked utility all of last year and I got bored of the morning show and music after a few months. It really helped the dullness of driving the majority of 8hrs a day. I wish I’d found KCC before I left that job. Tho I’m starting a production job that allows headphones soon so those compilation videos are gonna come in real handy.
My doctor has two marquis tents outside because of the plague, one for reception, one for socially distanced waiting. They give people the option of waiting in their cars and I'm sure people like OP would have been taken into the inside waiting room. I don't think that clerk would have got a job at my doctor.
As someone who used to do inventory, I can say that most auto parts stores have a decent amount of stuff that we were told "don't worry about that", so it's entirely possible that the filter sat there for two years. I've seen some things at these places that look like they've been there for at least 10 years.
In one warehouse I saw things that had dates on them making them older than I was then when I found them...and some of them are older than I am now and I bet they are still there.
To keep the chickens from flying. You trim the feathers of only 1 wing. It doesn't hurt them at all. You keep that 1 wings feathers trimmed. If the one wing is trimmed they can't fly.
they can still fly, they just tend to fly in circles, i used to clip all my chickens and there was still a few that could fly out, they figured out that if they start flying inline with the fence and horse shoe over the peek, pole volt stile. most of them never figure it out and give up trying when flapping makes you turn left every time.
I guess I'll share my personal malicious compliance When I was a kid, I think around 13 or so, my church took a trip to do disaster relief after Hurricane Katrina. We went to one of the smaller towns affected by the storm and were helping people rebuild their houses. I think some of the adults might have had technical skills more useful for this task, but for most of us we were hanging drywall all day. Not the most entertaining task, but I enjoyed the satisfaction of being able to look back at my work for the day and know I really made a difference. Well, I think around the second night I made a comment to the effect that it was probably a good thing that my mom and I were on different teams, because she had a tendency to nitpick everything I did when I was doing chores for her (true). Well, I didn't notice until after I said it that the co-pastor (wife of the pastor, also ordained) and the youth minister were in the room and overheard that. Guess who was on the other team with my mother the next day! Now my mom was confused, as I'd been transferred away from the kids my age and my sisters to work with the older kids on a clearly bullshit excuse. I told her basically what I'd said (that we didn't always get along) and she was LIVID. I think she took the move as a slight against her parenting skills. Cue malicious compliance. They wanted some big teaching moment where we worked on our mother-daughter relationship? Sure, we could give them that. And ONLY that. See, we don't always get along, but we do have similar senses of humor and contrary natures. We basically spent the entire day goofing off. We made up stupid, annoying songs to sing while we worked. We used the hose to race the tools we were supposed to be cleaning down the driveway. We came over to critique the other teams spackling skills. (Mostly my mom and BOY was it satisfying to see someone else on the other end of that for once) We were the WORST. And the next day we were shockingly on different teams again. Moral of this story? Most teenage girls have something to complain about when it comes to their mothers, and the Karens should butt out
Got a new general manager, who didn't like me, for apparently no reason. I was the best worker at my station, and didn't complain, so I still don't know why. The guy wanted me gone, so he cut my hours, and kept cutting them every week, till I was only working one four hour shift per week. I said nothing. I got a second job, but continued to show up for my four hours per week, and I did my job with a smile. I was now determined to outlast this jerk, and I would celebrate the day he left. Eventually, he realized I was the only good worker at my station, and he increased my hours back to normal. Later, he had to rely on my heavily, so I asked for a raise. He denied it because he said he was about to move to another job, and it would look bad if he gave me a raise just before leaving. I found out later that I had been pre-approved for a raise, and he was wrong to deny me. Anyway, I celebrated my victory over him the day he left. It was a good day.
Sounds like a bitter person who feels inferior to people who are skilled, hardworking, and successful, so he wants to do anything he can to cut those kinds of people down as much as possible. Hes not someone who wants to help people succeed and grow, he wants to tear them down so he can feel better about himself. But jokes on him cuz life starts getting a lot better when you have more and more talented successful people by your side who appreciate you, instead of making them hate you lmao
re: the story about the teacher really wanting to talk to mom (about an hour in); my brother is a high school math teacher. He's just thankful when any parents are invested/interested enough to talk about their kid.
My father mentioned two short incidents that occurred to him while in service in the Army in the early 1950’s. 1) His unit had completed most of their training during mid winter in northern Virginia. Their Sargent had them “police” the parade grounds. That is picking up every scrap and cigarette butts in the area, extreme busy work. There came a request from the Company CO’s for two volunteers to do some unspecified work. Dad looked at his best bud there and said it was probably better then doing the “policing” under their AH Sargent. So they were the only ones to volunteer. It is said in the Army to “Not to volunteer for anything.” Getting to the Company office, they were told that the company Secretary would direct them as to what to do. She was a sweet woman and needed them to help her with light filing, general cleaning and making the coffee. After they finished for the day , she was very happy with what they did for her and asked if she could request them until they were reassigned. Of course, they agreed. The Sargent hated it but he was out ranked. A warm office, hot fresh coffee and light duty instead of walking around the windy, chilly parade ground. Of course they painted it as tough work, hiding their smiles. 2) Because my older brother was born my father wasn’t sent to Germany and was assigned to a different unit. They were starting up the initial training for helicopter pilots and training schools needed to be started. My father was selected to be an instructor for the very basic classes for helicopters. His first helicopter ride was actually during the class and the pilot decided to scare him by shutting the engine off to auto rotation to click in. Anyway, the students were from many different ranks as corporals and Sargents saw this as a way to advance up to warrant officer (between NCO and Officers). So some of the elder NCO’s didn’t like being taught by a fresh tailed PFC (private first class). My father ignored the rudeness from this men and didn’t say anything about it. So BCE this was a pilot program and the Captain in charge of it was very hands on but not interfering. He would sneak in near the end of class to review the instructors. One old Sargent, we will call Joe, was being very rude to my dad during the class, but he finished without being flustered. As the class was being ended, the Captain stood up and said. “Thank you PFC for a good presentation.” Then said, “Joe, stay behind and clean the blackboards.” This Captain considered his enlisted instructors as an extension of himself and protected them.
On the story with OP selling the stuff on e-bay, I think what would of been the ultimate was to sell the box as instructed but keep the contents that was in it. It would of gone to court obviously but the argument could be that nothing was mentioned about the stuff in the box, just to sell the box. Being a veteran I was, and to some extent, a person who followed exact directions. Never think something was implied. If it's in writing, what was put is what was done.

It's also (probably) highly illegal to single out a single employee when looking at time clocks. Where I work, if they tried that, they'd have to apply the same penalty to everyone using the time clock system.
Unfortunately I'm one of those horrible people who has the ugly habit of interrupting people when they talking. My friends know about this and just say Quietly to me and of course I become silent immediately and apologize. A dear friend gave me a necklace that read: Don't talk when I interrupting.. .
Thank you. I got food poisoning (I think) and was up most of the night running to the bathroom to throw up. It was nice having these stories on in the background to distract myself
When we had to catch 'loose' chickens, we waited until DARK - when they roosted. For multiple birds, take the lower ones first and work your way up to the top of the group. A coth over their eyes helps if they are really skittish when you make your grab...... or pick them off with a .22

Have you ever heard of The Tail of the Dragon? It's an 11-mile road in North Carolina and Tennessee that has over 300 hairpin and tight turns. There are many videos online that show lines of motorcyclists following each other over cliffs because one rider made a colossal goof and the others just followed. Malicious complying wasn't ever a factor! People are dumb.
The dog story really got me because my brother and I wanted a pet as kids(this was constant). After we both left for college my parents got 3 dogs and a 2 cats. My brother and I basically gave my parents a AYFKM! talk. I have 2 fur babies currently.
Regarding the worker who was forced to be 100% in-office due to idle statuses in an IM app, my solution has been to fire up the same app (Microsoft teams) on my phone. It shows me active all day as it isn't permitted by android to snoop on my activity.

It's a shame that while OP was in the pool the next time, the employee that had to inform her of the rule, didn't pass by & compliment OP's choice of headwear before wishing her a wonderful day.
The mayo story triggered a memory from many decades ago. I worked in an engineering group, mostly late 20's with a few older guys. About 2 in the afternoon as things were quiet, there would a little zing and a rubber band would come flying over the cubical walls. What invariably happened was a Wild West Shoot out of rubber bands zipping over and around cubical walls until everyone was out of ammo. As far as we knew, the boss was unaware of our daily stress relief. Until the day we're in the middle of the battle and he walks out of his office door. We all freeze like deer in the headlights. He swung his arm up and proceeded to use a rubber band Gatling gun to spray all of us with bands all the while having the biggest grin on his face.
That Soldier at 14:00 doesn’t understand that there is a reason you’re picking up line ones and power washing sidewalks. It’s because you’re being punished for not showing up on time. Simply show up and stop being a problem then you won’t have to work ED anymore. People don’t realize that life in the military is different than the civilian world and you fall under a whole new set of laws. If you can’t handle that then shut up, do your time, and get out.
Regarding the clock(and all the stories for that matter) it is a tempest in a teapot. For starters, it is not an excuse to be late as you don't use the clock at your destination as the metric to gauge when you need to be there. 2. It didn't sound like anyone else was waxing floors with him so everyone else seemed to know what time it was. 3. If he felt so strongly about it, then I'm sure he could adjust it, or have someone else adjust it. He strikes me as a premadona that wants to play the martyr over the smallest injustice to hide the fact that he is simply not punctual. So by acting like he gained one on the system is foolish as I guarantee the punishment just changed, likely for the worse. If You play stupid games, you will win stupid prizes!
Let me say it again! Thank you for these Reddit posts. You have suggested to me how I can streamline my daily Monday to Friday job. I am efficient and have had no incident reports written up against me. I use my downtime to clip coupons, write up grocery lists, balance my checkbook, and read the company newsletter on how I can balance my employee contributions to maximize my employer contributions.
This comment from the US was not my experience in over 30 years of working. We’re lucky to get 1 week paid vacation or pd sick leave, health insurance is hit or miss, in right to work states you can be fired for the smallest reason, and not given compensation while you look for another job. You will not be informed ahead of time that you need to improve. You get yelled at for being sick, and go years without even a 25 cent raise.
I have a story. I'm disabled so at the time I was using a cart when I shopped to lean on. I got maybe five items and went to the ten items or less check out. The teen who was there decided as I had a cart he would not serve me. When I spoke to the manager he agreed with me and I never saw the kid again.
My wife's husband died and the utility company wanted to speak to her husband even though he had been dead for months. she had sent his death certificate by registered mail to the company. they continued to dun her for his conformation so they could close the account. they had no conformation of ever receiving the death certificate.
I'm an idiot I was confused for a minute before I figured you meant your wife's husband before she married you I genuinely thought a ghost was making this comment for a moment
I used to wax/buff when I was in the US Navy as a student before going to be assigned to a command (submarine). I listened to lectures and then was assigned a three hour study period afterwards. Every couple of days I would be on duty after school for another six hours. This is when I was told to remove the wax and put in more wax. I was lucky to get six hours of sleep. It did teach me to learn to go without sleep. When I got on the submarine, I had to 48 to 72 hours without sleep because of all the things I had to do after being on watch. I was qualifying for other positions. In the US Navy, officers had to qualify for all enlisted positions before they could be moved up to higher officer positions. It was to ensure officers know the jobs of every person on the sub.
When i worked as a train driver in UK there were a few of us called into the office due to having excessive amount of outstanding leave. We were told to "Use it or lose it". Well this was about two months before the new year and any leave for Christmas and New Year was sorted out in June. We all put in for leave at every opportunity, collecting copies every time it was "Turned Down, No Cover". Eventually we were called back in and told we had lost it, but no, i laid my file down saying i had applied for leave but it had all been denied due to no cover. . They looked (but luckily not too closely), sighed and asked what i wanted? I said i would like to take February off, which i did. On full pay, whilst my fellow drivers worked through the worst snow storms we had in years.
Working in the industry I have come to find out that MANY architects are that arrogant and miss a lot of their own mistakes. So learning to CYA early on is necessary for longevity.
1:24:47 reminds me of a flight i had. Me and my friend (Lets call him Steve) were flying to Poland to vissit his grandparents, we did not get seats next to each other, i saw the seat my friend got and that some guy in a suit was sitting next to it so i asked him if he would be willing to exchange seats so i could sit next to my friend... his response? "F-off!" "Alright then" Now Steve is one of the nicest guys you can ever encounter, but he is almost 190cm tall, lifts weights more often than most changes socks and built like a barn... he is not small... and he has permanent RBF.. and he heard this guy and got "slightly annoyed" This guy has put (can not remember what) on my friends seat as he approaches, my Steve just looks at his seat, grabs the item, shoves it in to the overhead compartment (Not gently) and quickly sits down... This guy: "HEY! THAT WAs my...." the moment this guy opened his mouth.. Steve put on a frowny face and glared daggers at the guy. This flight takes about 3h... and 1h in i see how the guy starts shifting in his seat. Steve: "Shut up and sit still, you are making me angry" Steve shuts up... When we exit the flight... the guy had pissed him self xD Don't be a jerk just because.... it generally comes back to bite you in the butt xD

Commingling of funds can easily be fixed by having a dedicated checking or savings account for the business expenses. But it sometimes doesn’t really matter as long as it isn’t your own business, just the company you work for.
With that medical one I leant the most painful thing to do is request a risk assessment on the change and then ask if a review on implementation was done
Around 3:22:00 - never underestimate incompetence and apathy. Shows up on inventory? Yes. Do we know or care what it is? No... or yes (listen to story again).
I enjoyed all the school trips I can remember, but none of the schools I went to picked bad places. Museum, an engineering firm (I know it sounds boring but they did great STEM outreach), a zoo for a biology class, things like that.
A lot of stuff that is not on a list when people do inventory is often skipped over in a lot of places so so that vacuum thing is actually quite plausible

Unfortunately I'm one of those horrible people who has the ugly habit of interrupting people when they talking. My friends know about this and just say Quietly to me and of course I become silent immediately and apologize.
A dear friend gave me a necklace that read:
Don't talk when I interrupting..
.
Thank you. I got food poisoning (I think) and was up most of the night running to the bathroom to throw up. It was nice having these stories on in the background to distract myself

First story: “hello, labor board!”
Border story: loved it!
“Lawn and order: Special lawn services” - end monologue 😅😅😅
When we had to catch 'loose' chickens, we waited until DARK - when they roosted. For multiple birds, take the lower ones first and work your way up to the top of the group. A coth over their eyes helps if they are really skittish when you make your grab...... or pick them off with a .22
That driving story has me shaking my head. The guy driving should have known not to follow the guy when he did a potentially dangerous thing.
Do you understand what malicious compliance even is?
@@dianemartel5205 Of course I do. Following the letter but not the spirit of a request. But there has to be a line you don't cross in MC and that should be people's lives are in danger
@@midknight3350
BUT...when someone is a victim of one of these turds and gets screwed...well, that's where the delicious "malicious" just HAS to Be. As long as just the turd bird is involved in the danger.Delicious malicious with a conscience.
Okay
The dog story really got me because my brother and I wanted a pet as kids(this was constant). After we both left for college my parents got 3 dogs and a 2 cats. My brother and I basically gave my parents a AYFKM! talk. I have 2 fur babies currently.
Best story starts at 3:36:45
Holy moly! After years of in and out early and late the amount in unpaid overtime 😵😵💫 someone needs to call a lawyer!
Woh! My hero for taking sick leave and quitting! Everyone is very passive aggressive at my work …and finding coverage shouldn’t be MY job darn it!
It's not every day I hear a malicious compliance story featuring a genuine tabarnak.
The "sell the box" one made me smile
The videographer and his electronic items is killing me!!!
Omg that guy that got the mystery box I am SOOOOO HAPPY! THAT. Is a perfect Karma Story🥰🥰🥰🥰!
I don't know why pew pew makes me giggle like a toddler.
Regarding the worker who was forced to be 100% in-office due to idle statuses in an IM app, my solution has been to fire up the same app (Microsoft teams) on my phone. It shows me active all day as it isn't permitted by android to snoop on my activity.
She said "sell the box"... Add: 1 box, empty. Good for shipping.
I'm a special effects makeup artist and i spend HOURS in front of a mirror. I switch back and forth every other day, music, Reddit stories, music Reddit stories 😆😂
It's a shame that while OP was in the pool the next time, the employee that had to inform her of the rule, didn't pass by & compliment OP's choice of headwear before wishing her a wonderful day.
Might not have been working that day I bet he heard about it and got a laugh out of it
The urn one!
Sorry for their loss but this was hilarious as hell! I would absolutely pay to be a fly on the wall that day 🤣
Good evening Rob
Hello everyone
Happy Hump Day everyone
my anger issues could never with 99% of these stories
LMAO 😂... Was the middle of my sentence interrupting the beginning of yours....
The best line I've never heard before.👍🎯
The mayo story triggered a memory from many decades ago.
Mayo story: Not malicious compliance, DELICIOUS compliance. lmao
I Watch These to fall asleep and have a giggle😍🥰.. how fun😀😋..
Crazy talk
Man!! i could never get tired of listening to your vids!! Your videos makes being on traffic somewhat more bearable.....
Mrs. Yarp! Superb compliance.
I like it too! Just cant stand the commercial breaks.
My thoughts exactly
Loved the ancient coins and box story
1:30:06 thinking the US doesnt use the word lawn too made me laugh a little
OMG, thanks for all the stories, You are the best!!!
I love these videos! I'm listening as I knit up a batch of poppies in time for remembrance day
Rob, bold of you to assume a manager looks at the inventory xD
This comment from the US was not my experience in over 30 years of working. We’re lucky to get 1 week paid vacation or pd sick leave, health insurance is hit or miss, in right to work states you can be fired for the smallest reason, and not given compensation while you look for another job. You will not be informed ahead of time that you need to improve. You get yelled at for being sick, and go years without even a 25 cent raise.
Never ever tell the military that you have free drinks 🍸
I have a story. I'm disabled so at the time I was using a cart when I shopped to lean on. I got maybe five items and went to the ten items or less check out. The teen who was there decided as I had a cart he would not serve me. When I spoke to the manager he agreed with me and I never saw the kid again.
I'm curious if u don't mind how disabled are you
I absolutely love KCC and thank you for finding all of us great hilarious stories to enjoy! You’re channel is phenomenal!
I giggle every time you say pew-pew. Thanks for that!
The story about military rental car… that’s govt spending. Spend $$$$ for penny cost tool or what ever.

1:30:58 can't wait for the new episode
Thank you very much for the long video. 👍👍👍👍👍
That first story man !!! Nice lady
2nd story, they are giving a lot of details for a legally blind person.
Legally blind doesn't mean they are fully blind. More likely blind of age or deteriorating eyes.
I appreciate all your hard work rob
I use these long videos for sleeping
Thank you for a compliation of episodes. I really appreciate them.
Morning production meetings help.
I would love to see a compilation of malicious compliance or any kind of revenge stories against or towards bad cops or government official
The ÇHICKEN CHASE! The development of the chicken cursing!!😂
I still hate chickens!
I feel for you OP.
"F-off!"
"Alright then"
Now Steve is one of the nicest guys you can ever encounter, but he is almost 190cm tall, lifts weights more often than most changes socks and built like a barn... he is not small... and he has permanent RBF.. and he heard this guy and got "slightly annoyed"
This guy has put (can not remember what) on my friends seat as he approaches, my Steve just looks at his seat, grabs the item, shoves it in to the overhead compartment (Not gently) and quickly sits down...
This guy: "HEY! THAT WAs my...." the moment this guy opened his mouth.. Steve put on a frowny face and glared daggers at the guy.
This flight takes about 3h... and 1h in i see how the guy starts shifting in his seat.
Steve: "Shut up and sit still, you are making me angry"
Steve shuts up...
When we exit the flight... the guy had pissed him self xD
Don't be a jerk just because.... it generally comes back to bite you in the butt xD
He should have bought it himself
1:30:00 my wife has the same problem so I just asked her to open an email and put a small stone on the space bar. Works a treat. She's gone out and done bits and nobody has any idea.
I am not even sure that he had the authority to change the purchase order unilaterally. he just did it anyway. if it was legit, they could not have reversed it even after a year.
Commingling of funds can easily be fixed by having a dedicated checking or savings account for the business expenses. But it sometimes doesn’t really matter as long as it isn’t your own business, just the company you work for.
to creamcheese wonton: were you working barefoot?
With that medical one I leant the most painful thing to do is request a risk assessment on the change and then ask if a review on implementation was done
Warning: Human Resources is not your friend.
Lawn and order got me laughing and messed up my drawing
Rob, thanks for the awesome videos!!! I LOVE KCC stories
Prior army here, no not allowed to leave early, everyone is released when the first sergeant and commander says
A lot of stuff that is not on a list when people do inventory is often skipped over in a lot of places so so that vacuum thing is actually quite plausible
I feel like clocking out early would be the reason anyone noticed
