You’re right about city Targets - the Targets in the suburbs are so much better!
I wish I could've gone to one in the suburbs!!
I want a bite of every single thing in this vlog
The wholesomeness of being excited by a squirrel is just top tier.
A big thing I’m noticing that you’ve highlighted as a cultural difference between our two countries is our portion sizes. We eat WAY TOO BIG of portions here in America and I don’t really think about it until someone from another country points it out.
i love it though, because then i have leftovers for my next meal 😂
Leftovers are a big thing in America!😅
Your portions were huge when I went there (I’m from New Zealand) !!!
Food is so expensive now so I feel like it evens out
I constantly think about this.. I shouldn't have to bring home 2 servings of fries all the time or half of a HUGE burrito all the time. It's not realistic.
As an American who has lived my entire life with Target, I do not blame you one bit for considering it a destination worth visiting-it is!
Just an fyi, most people don’t eat the original gold fish in US, it’s typically the cheddar ones ❤️
I never knew there wasn’t squirrels in Australia until I saw ur insta story! I always see them in my backyard and everywhere so it’s interesting learning the differences, btww lovee the travel videos
You looked absolutely adorable in that little black dress with the black headband! Love hearing about your trip and your thoughts!
Liam did such a good filming job
Similar to how you probably feel when you see them visit your home, it’s kind of exciting seeing your own country through someone else’s eyes. It gives you a refreshing sense of pride and sparkle about where you come from ✨😊 Would LOVE to visit Australia some day 😍
YES
Squirrels aren’t really pests, at least not where I’m from. They typically mind their business and just hangout lol! They could be pests, but I’ve never had that experience with them at all!
I moved to Boston from Puerto Rico 11 years ago and I wake up on most mornings wondering how I ended up in such a magical city ✨ I am so so happy you visited Boston! 💕
Your Boston Library outfit was giving Blair Waldrof and I'm loving it!
that’s exactly what i thought !
I dont live on the east coast but seeing Rachel enjoy American things make me appreciate life a little more. Like how she got excited by seeing a squirrel was so cute because I see those all the time
I love watching Rachel experience America for the first time 😭🫶 we’re happy to have you here
I was born in Boston, it makes me so happy someone I watch so often is visiting 😊
Liam is doing great as a RUclips husband hahahaha!!!
This vlog is such a joy to watch! I love seeing you and Liam experience things for the first time, and I'm also living vicariously through you since I've never been to Boston (I'm from California)
YOU JUST MADE MY DAY! hope you're having so much fun in the us🥺🫶 can't wait to watch this vlog when i get home!
omg! i live in boston and it’s sooo fun to see you guys go everywhere that i go every day. your reaction to seeing a squirrel is genuinely so sweet 🥹
Your outfit for the library was giving Blaire Waldorf!!! Love it xx glad to see you're enjoying your trip xx
Aww, loved this! Thank you and Liam for bringing us with you
i now live in melbourne but i went to school in the states, and boston is one of my favourite cities! watching this video is making me so nostalgic. i want to visit boston some time soon and explore the culture as an adult to feel the difference.
You have to check out the Target next to Fenway Park. That Target will match what you’re expecting (it’s two stories)!
I'm happy to see you enjoying your travels. Can't wait for the New York vlog!
The chocolate covered pomegranates are soooooo good❤️😭 I only don’t buy them often cause they are pricey. But a treat for sure
I went to America for the first time 17 years ago and everyone said "You have to visit a Walmart" 🤭(we actually went to a Target on that trip as well but i didn't appreciate it) ... Then of course i started watching USA Vloggers and truly understood the Target EXPERIENCE and then went crazy in a Target while in Hawaii 9 years ago. 😂
MY CITY! LOVED seeing you explore my home through your eyes!!
"They're kind of like nothing, but in the best way possible" is honestly the best way to describe original Goldfish 😂 Now, the flavored ones are where it's at!! 😍
Oh my gosh I'm so excited for you to read Persuasion!! It's my favorite Jane Austin
Hope you loved Boston!!! Boston is such a magical city.
Watching this as an American was so fun!!! glad you’re having a great time!
such a sweet vlog! you make me appreciate the daily american things i take for granted 🩷
I had to put the book down, because Rachel posted!!!
saur excited for the nyc portion. much love from san francisco🫶
Extra toasty cheese its are my go-to snack
As an American these are all things I take for granted and you were just so excited about the little things and it was just so wholesome ❤ also the funny thing about you guys not doing breakfast potatoes 😂I went to Australia and saw a friend order beans with his break and I thought ew why are you eating that for breakfast but maybe I’m the weird one lol 😅
A Boston girl here 🙋🏻♀️ so happy you got to visit !
Your Aussie accent naturally made you pronounce Harvard just like us Bostonians do. Haha!
Thanks for visiting our wonderful city. Glad you enjoyed yourselves!
Your excitement of trying American things and going to Target is so wholesome! I went to a school that had many international students and I always loved showing them around and trying American things and going to the shops!
Side note, Cheese It’s are amazing and I highly recommend the Raspberry Rose and Wild Berry Poppi flavors!
Seeing you explore my city actually makes me WAY too happy lol. Also posman books is one of my fav on Newbury was just there yesterday. I love seeing you travel, you’re glowing!
loved the vlog rachel! so excited for the next couple of travel videos!!
living for these travel vlogs!!
I live right across from the Beacon Hill Bookstore and I have still never been!! sometimes I forget how magical Beacon Hill is and your video reminded me how lucky I am to live here 😊 so happy you loved Boston so much!!
I cracked up when you said "the subway was amazing". Usually the T has an issue every other day. You got lucky lol
it must be such a surreal experience as an aussie to be in the us for the first time❤ i hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!!!
So cool to see the stuff I take for granted through your eyes! That target was def a smaller target than normal. And I now want to go to Boston! I haven’t traveled the East Coast besides New York and Boston looks wonderful!
Shoutout Liam, you're crushing it!
Really enjoyed this video. The highlight for me was when you're in target! You sounded so excited! I've heard that they don't have many targets left in the US.
I need to go back to Trader Joe's. I have been to one and didn't get as many snacks as you did. I so need to go back. I've never been to New York, so that's on my bucket list for sure.
Haven't tried chocolate covered pomegranates but they sound awesome.
Enjoy the rest of your trip!
Literally seeing you be so excited and also confused at Target had me smiling! I love it! God bless!!! :) But yeah, that was a smaller target from what I could see.
Love your vlogs! Can’t wait for the New York ones!! Also Target in the suburbs are definitely the ones that you want to visit…the city ones are much smaller
It’s so cute how excited you are for the little things!
As a mexican, I must say…. I LOOOOVE chipotle!! It’s the closest to a mexican barbacoa and burrito in a USA chain restaurant
I absolutely LOVED this vlog ❤️
I grew up in the Boston area and it's so surreal to see you filming in all these spots!! I so wish I ran into you
Boston here!!!! (I love the verse in the beginning 🤍)
OMG, I totally get the squirrel excitement! They're like little fluffy entertainers haha! 😄 Also, loved your little shopping spree at Target, it's like a treasure hunt in there! Can't wait to see more of your adventures! 🛍️✨
Watching you explore a target was the best thing I’ve seen all week 🤣💓
Rachel loves Boston and we love u!🤍 also I love Liam being in the vlogs hehe
I had no idea Australia didn’t have squirrels! 🐿️ I literally see squirrels in my backyard everyday!
So fun to see you discover and try American items!
The way you love squirrels ❤️❤️ so cute
Aww you guys were adorable. Being an AmeraAussie, ( that’s my hubbies name, I was born in America but lived in Australia for the last 14 years), it took me a very long time to get used to to the portion sizes here. Everything in the states tends to be extreme, but it’s been so fun and wholesome watching you both experience America for the first time. I can’t wait for the next one 🎉
My daughter eats cheez-it’s daily! lol I love your first USA trip vlog! It’s so fun to see it from a different perspective 😊
Loving the Liam and Rachel content - you guys are so sweet together! ❤️
I love how fixated you were on the squirrel!!
Loving the travel vlog ✈️🩷
I live in the U.S. and have traveled all over the country, have been to most big cities and Boston is one of my very favorite! So happy you loved it. Also, I still get excited about going to Trader Joe's and Target and they are within 20 min of where I live. 😂🎉❤
Ahhhh I’m early. Thank you so much for fixing something you didn’t break. I love you ❤️
Aww wish I had ran into you in the city. Love my home city glad you got to see it
I'm from the Boston area and it was so fun to watch you eat at one of my favorite restaurants (Friendly Toast) and Tatte! Also, the second you started talking about Target I knew you'd be let down by the one in Boston. It just doesn't hit the same.
I live right near that target and it genuinely is the worst target I've ever been to lol!
Love your vlogs with Liam ❤
The sour Scandinavian swimmers from Trader Joe’s are like crack in my household
I have lived in the US my whole life and I look forward to a target trip weekly 😂 when I studied abroad in Australia it was the number one thing I missed lol
persuasion is such a sweet story
what is crazy is I was at beacon hill books and brattle a month ago! Boston is a nice place to spend a whole day or weekend to explore for sure! My favorite area is where Quincy Market is, the waterfront, and the north end.
So fun watching you eat American snacks for the firsts time :)
I loved this vlog sm 💛💛
Aw yay the lovely Rachel posts again ❤❤❤
that harvard sticker is giving me rory gilmore vibes!! (although she chose yale...)
You should come to Texas next! DFW and San Antonio specifically! Lots of things to see and do (the State Fair is amazing!)
Yay, I really want to go to Boston as well eventually 😊
Even Americans love going to target!!! It’s not dumb at all ahaha ❤ it always feels like a treat when I go
It's probably good that you didn't get Cheeze-Its because once you start you will never stop. They are a staple in my home, lol. So excited to watch you go to Boston! I am going to be there in January, so a bit colder, but excited nevertheless.
I love this because I live in Boston!
You need to try the chocolate covered pretzels from Costco! They are the best!
20:24 I'm so glad you loved my hometown, good luck in New York 🩷
Omg I was raised in that library 😭😭😭😭😭😭
I just finished a book based in Boston. This is exactly what I needed to mourn ending the book. 😂
As an American I enjoyed this vlog so much 🎉
In Australian mingle seasonings has an everything bagel seasoning and Lindt has something similar to the pomegranate chocolate things I’m not sure they have pomegranate ones those
I remember when I first moved to the states 5 years ago the excitement for seeing the squirrels XD I don't think they are pests but I LOVE Raccoons and those are definitely pests XD
I love the goldfish better. They just feel less greasy than the Cheez its.
Welcome to the US Rachel!!!!!!!!
I know those are called “original” but when people here say they’re gonna eat goldfish it’s the “cheddar” flavor that’s the go to or the first that comes to mind
as someone who has lived in massachusetts her whole life, seeing you both enjoy boston makes me want to go and have a day in the city (something i haven’t done in years!!)🫶🏼
This video made me realize just how different we’re living 😂 you seeing a squirrel sent me hahahaha
I love this !
it's so weird seeing someone from australia go to a restaurant that I've been to lol and it's just so interesting to see the places/things I take for granted (even as simple as going to Target)
Have I grown up with Target and squirrels my entire life? Yes. Do they still excite me? Absolutely yes.
