That castle you went into after the visit to Postojna cave is named "Predjamski grad".
Direct translation Pred = Before or In front of, Jama or Jamski = Cave, Grad = Castle.
So basically a castle in front of the cave or something to that effect.
A lot of things are named literally.

Generally a meal for one person will amount to 12-20 EUR, bus fare similar to that, accommodation is based on the season so it can go as low as 50 EU a night or as high as 150 EU per night. Anything more is extortion and you should find another place.
