In this video, I will be searching through $500 in pennies looking for Indians, wheats, errors, foreigns, and other cool coins. Please like, comment, and subscribe!
Hey 'coin hunter' guy, I think you're officially hooked on coin collecting. When I was pretty young around 1972 me and a friend went to a Post office kiosk apart from a mall in a huge parking lot to use its dollar changer. We plugged in dollars and got the change and found normally at least 1/3 silver coins. Some buffalos, mercury dimes, walking liberty quarters and halves, and on occasion barber dimes and v nickles. We were crazy hooked, and repeated this over and over until- we literally BROKE the machine! I swear it's the truth, we'd put in a dollar and it spit the dollar back out and plunked out all the change! We doubled our money for three days. We hit the kid heavenly jackpot. I think we did that for a few days and found out they sent a technician to fix it. What a memory.
I started officially in 1993 (got my first Morgan Dollar, a 1902 P VAM-4 variety) when I was 8, though I was in love with my Dad's wheat-back collection when he first showed me around 2-3 years old. One way or another us coin people generally get hooked HARD lol.
In 1972 I would think silver would still be commonly found in circulation My only taste of silver comes from a trip to Vegas around 10 years ago. Back then (funny how I'd say that for 2010) there were still some slots that took half dollars. It was one casino on Fremont Street that stocked half dollars because they still had a few machines left that took coins. A couple friends took me there. Anyway, by getting rolls of coins we found a few 40% silver ones. And then over to the slot machines we deposited coins like 2 or 3 at a time and pressed the cash out button and the way those machines were set up, they would spit out different coins from the bottom of the stack (first in last out). Found a few more 40% coins that way, and we'd stay ahead of the game as long as we didn't actually play the slots! One of the rare times going into a casino with a house advantage, LOL A couple years later those machines went away eliminating that edge. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
Wow! Sometimes it's not easy for me to get through 1 box. I look for any and everything I know to look for n save the copper too. I enjoy it but am also glad when I'm done. Lots of strain on the eyes. Hats off to ya! That's impressive
That is a lot of pennies, I'd be sick of looking at them and want to take a break for a while, glad you enjoy it so much. Some very cool finds love the blank.
It is the thrill of the hunt, you never know what's around the corner (next box). Congratulations on many nice finds! I once filled a water jug (very heavy) and we searched every coin. Lots of fun, and filled some books. Thanks a lot for the video!
That is some serious coin roll hunting dude! If you go through that many coins you are bound to find some good stuff. It is a shear numbers game at that point. Keep up the great work man!
I don't know how you even had this much time. I also don't think the bank's counting machine will be able to process all this without running out of room or paper or something. You should probably do it in chunks of 5 or 10 boxes at a time.
lol!!! 14 hours later!!!!! Dude - i’m pretty bad with my piles, bins, stacks, baggies, piles, errors, uncirculated, and I have Gone 12 hours nonstop and then I just can’t sort anymore. I’m a new collector and just am in awe!
Hi 👋I’ve been thru about 4 times as many pennies over the last 3 years or so and have found everything from several Indian heads and one ☝️ 1909 VDB as well as uncirculated 40’s wheat . The Indian heads were mid 1800’s.
Great content, my question is, if you return these pennies back to the bank, do you make an order the same day you return these to ensure you dont get the same ones back? How long does the bank sit on pennies you return? Or do you do a giant batch of pennies once per month or so to ensure you dont get the same ones from last time or 5 times ago?
not sure why i was not subed, i thought i was, but that is cool it takes me 2 to 4 hrs a box on average, but i am keeping the coppers and i put them back in the roll when i am done, dont have a machine to put them into. i also like to look for all the chery pickers cents, so that adds up in time i guess. i did buy 200 once in pennies but that took me over a year to do them lol. nice haul overall. take care and HH
Silly question, but I am new to collecting. How can you tell if a penny is uncirculated? Ouch 2 wheats for the entire box. 14 hours of dedication. I just subscribed and wanted to thank you for sharing your finds. I am trying to make my first video, but need major help. How do you shoot down on your coins? Do you use a phone or camera? Do you use a tripod? How do you position your stuff in order to shoot your video. Thanks for helping a fellow coin collector.
My bank won't accept pennies unless they are in rolls . Every now and then I will buy a box of pennies ,100$ face or 10000 of them on Ebay for about $150 . They are pre 1983 , so they are real copper instead of zinc. When I'm an old codger in my 80's or 90's i "might" be going through them for grins and giggles to see what i might find....reverting to my childhood and coin collecting.
If the coins "uncirculated" were found in rolls with circulated cents, they're all circulated. "Uncirculated" is when you get unopened rolls straight from the US Mint. Sorry, kid. You should have known.
You really shouldn't crap where you eat. From what I heard, are you depositing all these coins in the same place you picked them up? If so, I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to dump or order because if you pickup and dump in the same location it begins to cost the bank more money and work, and believe me, they may not care how much you order now but that may pass, especially if you keep throwing it back at them. Even though they may have a fast counter they still have to deal with the bags and everything else that come with it. I know many people that have been cut off because of this exact reason and me personally just for ordering too much. It seems like you have a pretty sweet deal now with being able to order, and I was in a similar spot maybe 2 or 3 months ago, but then the bank manager changed and I was cut off completely. Just another thing to think about that could happen, that's why its not a bad idea to have yourself endeared to the staff of multiple banks, that way your pickup rate wont have to stop for any extended period of time. An easy way I found to keep a steady flow was by doing many small orders at multiple banks. just a though though. You're definitely finding some really neat stuff, and it would suck to have them not wanting to do orders for you anymore. Not to mention, if they have a bad experience with one coin roll hunter, they will be much less likely to do business with others in the future. I know I have been told this specifically at new banks and have had to reassure them that I would not bring what I ordered back to them.
Connor Eagle my bank loves me, the manger is the one who orders for me, the coins I turn in go to a different company then what I receive, he go to brink and I receive loomis
Make sure you check all the other thousands of Pennies for Errors, that's where the money is at: Weigh them, and look for Doubling under a Magnifier. Surprised you didn't find a single 1943 Wheat-Back. How's the coin roll hunting been since? Find any Gems?
I,m a bit like you. I have hunted for copper and silver coins for a few years. Out of about 40 boxes of pennies, I found 98 wheats, 7 Indians, several Canadians and 12 sets of 2009 Lincoln series in Uncirculated condition, 1 1955 double die and 1 poor mans 1955 Double die. I have about 42 pounds of copper out of the bunch. My bank (CIT1) got tired of me returning them because they claim they have to pay for them to be returned, bull. They then started charging me $.25 per roll, no matter the denomination. I refuse to pay a penny for returning them. I want to know which bank you are going to that doesn't care how many you buy. Keep on the look out for the 1983D, 1983, 1989D, 1990D. Some of these were pressed on copper planchets. Nobody knows how many were produced. could be worth$$$. Which bank do you get most of your coin rolls? Do they take loose coins back? Any info would would be greatly appreciated... Thanks a bunch Mr, Quin!!!

steve m That's awesome!!!

LUCKY
Did you keep those old and silver?
In 1972 I would think silver would still be commonly found in circulation

Good hobby when you're on lock down.
Wow! Sometimes it's not easy for me to get through 1 box. I look for any and everything I know to look for n save the copper too. I enjoy it but am also glad when I'm done. Lots of strain on the eyes. Hats off to ya! That's impressive
Now this is the type of content I'm looking for! Love the averaging and the variety. Just goes to show there is treasure out there!
Anyone who looks through that many pennies deserves a thumbs up and a new subscriber. How did you process all of those pennies in 14 hours?
Coolcoinz2017 I agree! Subbed to him and you!
I average 1 roll every 50 seconds with 10 seconds in-between to open the rolls I can do a box in under an hour. So you can do 20 boxes in one day
OH MY GOSH...I have never seen anyone so committed.
KEEP IT UP!!!
That is a lot of pennies, I'd be sick of looking at them and want to take a break for a while, glad you enjoy it so much. Some very cool finds love the blank.
walt2t it gets a little tiring towards the end but it is bearable!
The bank employees where you get your coin from must hate you as soon as you walk into the door.
rybob7 they love me!
Every time he walks into the bank they always slide the "Next window please" sign and hope there not the last station standing...
They hate their jobs. Coin Hunter seems like a nice guy.
No, its when you are returning the coins to the bank, those are the employees who hate you.
@@TheHolySC
That's one of the reasons why I dump at a different bank than the one I pick up coins.
It is the thrill of the hunt, you never know what's around the corner (next box). Congratulations on many nice finds! I once filled a water jug (very heavy) and we searched every coin. Lots of fun, and filled some books. Thanks a lot for the video!
Dude amazing finds! So jealous cheers good luck on the next hunt 🤗

207 Wheats! My favorite is the cud error, but I also like the bie, blank and IHP. Thanks for sharing.
I DIG HISTORY thanks!
Nice finds
I don't know why, but the stamped ones are my fav. Lots of great finds... so cool...
Hi CH, What a job! Great finds. Thumbs up. Thanks, Donald
Donald in New Mexico thanks!
hey just subscribed but love your channel. Great finds.
I don't know how you even had this much time. I also don't think the bank's counting machine will be able to process all this without running out of room or paper or something. You should probably do it in chunks of 5 or 10 boxes at a time.
Hydrantdude the machine has bags, they just replace when they fill
Wow 14 hours hunting!! Awesome score! 😁🤘
Nice finds man keep it up!!

I once found 17 1953 plains in an "unsearched" roll I also found 11 1944s in that same roll

ottawasilver 77 thanks!

Wow. That's what I call dedication. You're gonna be dreamin' Lincoln for a while. 😂
TexasSheepdawg21 lol, what I'm going to be dealing with for a while is my stained hands! I've washed them many times and they are still black
Gloves?...
Wow !)))
Do you look for errors such as the 1955 P double die or just order by dates?
Ryan Ferrell yes, I look for those
what bank do you go too? my bank hassles me. I love to coin hunt and the hassle takes the fun out of it.
Wow! How many wheat, steel wheat, or Indian head cents did you find?
Nice hunt
Nice video
Wow the greatest coin video ever seen❤❤❤❤❤👏👏👏❤❤👏👏😊😊😊❤❤❤
I'd be keeping the copper and make money while you do it, it's no harder than your doing now. Cool vid!
I got a glimpse at a 2009 in the foreign pile quite a few actually
you are a brave man to hunt that many boxes. good job......
How did you get so many circulated boxes of pennies? When I get mine from the bank they are always brand new.
not sure why i was not subed, i thought i was, but that is cool it takes me 2 to 4 hrs a box on average, but i am keeping the coppers and i put them back in the roll when i am done, dont have a machine to put them into. i also like to look for all the chery pickers cents, so that adds up in time i guess. i did buy 200 once in pennies but that took me over a year to do them lol. nice haul overall. take care and HH
superneo123 subbed* and capitalize “I” cherry* pickers*

I have a $25 box from 1974 that my dad bought and put in his SDB. It is unsearched, so how much is it worth you think???
so now what do you do with them, now that you have them?
how many days did it take you to go through them all?
My bank won't accept pennies unless they are in rolls . Every now and then I will buy a box of pennies ,100$ face or 10000 of them on Ebay for about $150 . I found 10 centavos from the Dominican republic made in 1947. Silver
I also found a 1910 penny under the same machine.
Now your all set to pay a parking ticket lol
Got a couple of old half pennies. Lost hope when the Euro came about. Now. Keepers.
I have absolutely no clue what is going on but it seems cool so yknow nice 👍
those two coins at 3:34 i think are "Farthings" i have a 1949 Farthing in good condition and those two kinda resemble it
Did you just go around to different banks until you accumulated these or did you order them?
my bank holds up to 5k usd in pennies
3:21 I actually have one of those from 1993
coin collectors dream!
First video I've seen of yours. Big thumbs up for content! But, oy!, please consider a camera with better focus...
great finds keep it up i wish you good luck on your next hunts
Coin Roll Hunter Wv thanks!

Very cool, I watched it all; Any rpm's?
If the coins "uncirculated" were found in rolls with circulated cents, they're all circulated. "Uncirculated" is when you get unopened rolls straight from the US Mint. Sorry, kid. You should have known.
I just found a Canadian blank planchet! 70s I think
,you: plastec penny
Me: WAIT WUT
I think the UNC 1934 is my favorite
Your So lucky my bank would never do that! I’d be lucky to get one box. Only bank around for 20 miles.
Great finds! How do you return all of these? Does the bank you use have a coin counting machine?
CoinQuest they have a super fast counter
keep all the copper!
Wow
amazing indian!! very cool, and I think you should do 1k in dimes
Zack Sorenson 🤔, you wait till next week.... I'll have 3k in dimes!
***** ok, cool!!! I hope my recommendation will turn out to be fortunate for you! :3
How can you even call those coins uncirculated when you pulled them from circulation?
lmao the 1955 D on the top it was a poor mans double die
Will the bank give exact change in dollars and do you need to be a card member for the banks
Nathan Walston most banks you have to be a member, they give cash or put money in account, there is no deduction or fee
I got a question , how do you take the pennies back after you are done looking through them ?
Maury Holiday free bank coin machines you can use if you’re a member of the bank
@@thefishingboy2065 or coinstar
Are any of these worth money ?? Or just collecting
90 boxes next time!!! LOL!!!
I wonder how many double dies and errors were passed over. Things like close AMs.
I would love to have your shiny 1958.
Does the bank make you roll all the pennies backup?
What do you mean plated? 1980's were copper so they aren't plated unless they put extra copper on by plating.
I knew you're gonna get one Indian
It doesn't appear they you are looking for known errors, RPMs, etc. Why not?
Didn't see, did you tale out the copper?
i found a 1912 s wheat penny
(i found 2 wheats in ONE ROLL!)
Melon Man maybe it’s just of where I live but almost every roll I open has minimum of two. Once found 5 in one roll.
I got a life size down to every detail plastic penny in change
Can I do a trade for the "unplated" penny for a mercury dime?
where did you get a 50000 pennies or coins
If i worked for us minting i would just be like oooopppssss i made an error oh well lemme just take it home teheeeeeeeee
And then probably go to federal prison lmao
are these worth money?

Connor Eagle I personally don't do a ton of coin roll hunting but I did have a bank loot at my weird for want forty dollars of nickels.
what are enders?
I wonder how much that blank planchet goes for??
Make sure you check all the other thousands of Pennies for Errors, that's where the money is at: Weigh them, and look for Doubling under a Magnifier.
Surprised you didn't find a single 1943 Wheat-Back. How's the coin roll hunting been since? Find any Gems?
so can any one tell us the total value of his finds ?
What about all the copper pennies!
So how much profit was all the finds?
chris elliott not sure🤔 I'll have to tally it up!
chris elliott, coin roll hunting is not about profit. If it was we would all be living on the streets, lol.
Probably a little overboard but 800 boxes
You should get 1,000,000,000,000 boxes lol
Lol
Dump at several different banks!
I hope I’m not the only one who thought it said 50,000 dollars
I’m looking through 20,000 pennies in a few days
Please let joint everyone who want to play.... like coin hunters game for point, and one is the highest win I think this is the best game ever made.
I got a uncuqlated 1955 wheet
how are you determining your un-circulated Pennies?
Aren't they all circulated once you put them in a roll and sell them to the bank?
