    These rifles are really worth improving on, I have a late 90's B3, the stock was like a bit or drift wood pieced together with filler, and covered in a tacky varnish, really all you need to invest in these things is your time and whatever you find in your garage😂. Mine now looks a 1,000 times better and actually shoots pretty accurately too. Infact I was so pleased with the project I ordered a B2 with the same shabby delivered standard, no safety, no anti bear trap etc.......again it's been transformed into a really nice rifle that gets plenty of use. Great job on yours.👍👍

    My mate bought one of these. He stripped it and removed about a pound of thick black grease. He reassembled it and exported it back to Chuna as an anti-aircraft gun. 🤣🤣

    Great rundown on the B3. These things are a lot of fun. They make great project guns.

    Great video.
    Makes me wanna go and retrieve the one that my dad left after him after he pasded away and start restoring it, even though it just is a cheap chinese airgun..
    Already refurbished the old Relum Supertornado of his - which is an air rifle that I used to shoot LOTS with as a kid..

      These things are fun, and mine shoots pretty well. I'd love to see a video on how you did the nitro piston conversion.

    I have a B3-2. It’s my favorite springer. Mine chronographs at 475 fps @7 foot pounds. My rear sight was janky as well. I put on a 4 power scope and it is quite accurate out to 25 yards.
    Thank you for the video!

    Good morning Travis.🙋
    I think that a person can't go wrong with the B3 or B2 for the price, long as they don't expect lazor accuracy and they just want to shoot cans and some paper targets🎯 from close range.
    They can also give people a chance to DIY tune, improve the stock and such.
    Have a great Saturday Travis!🤠👍

    Travis - found your channel initially through your B3 videos. Can't beat them for the money. Put a small washer under the head of those bolts and it should help reduce creep. Keep up with springer videos!

    Hey Travis,
    Hope you and your family had a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
    I've been binge watching and rewatching a lot of your videos.
    I hope you and Chuck of Spring Piston Rifle Fever consider selling your own old airguns and Merch like Riddict of Off The Shelf Airguns or JC of Airgun Detective.
    Stay Blessed.

      Thanks Ken! I ebay most of my stuff. I'm really down to the bare bones now as far as things to sell. Thanks for the interest though.

    I seem to remember you doing a video some time back where you were refinishing the stock.
    I think I've mentioned my B3 to you before... I have fortune slips from fortune cookies taped over the stock, and have named it "Fortune Rifle".
    I bet with the insane price of things these days, those B3's are running more of 60 to 75 dollars!

      I do remember that. I’ve actually got a fortune saved because of your comment.

    Hi Travis, got to love that B3, I actually quite like that stock even with the putty, kind of like battle scars 😉. When I used to make high-end slingshots, if it had a Crack, we would fill it with a black or vibrant colour dye, mixed with super glue. It would bring out the character of the flaws but also stabilize the Crack so it doesn't propagate any further. Think that would look sweet as a replacement for the poly filler. What kind of groups do you get from the B3 with decent pellets like JSB

    • @ohshoot444
      @ohshoot444  22 дня назад +2

      I’ve been aiming to get some of the lighter jsbs and try through it. Might have to do a pellet test video with it again.

      @ohshoot444 that would be cool, there are 1 of these here at our China mall for about R1500(75$) would maybe be a cool project gun. I have been eyeing it for a while

    @triumphant39 20 дней назад +2

    I've had several and they seem to always fail eventually. Maybe it's lack of care, maybe you're supposed to put air gun lube on the ram or whatever, but most people simply don't do that, especially as children.

  • @airgunhunter927

    So true, it looks like a SKS&G43 😂 love the B3 but i wish they can make them better with better wood/better piston and trigger

    If you can't hit anything with it and can't put food on the table with it either you can lick the toffee of the stock so you don't go hungry Chinese junk.

    Believe most are by iszaan ,defender xtreme out off China basically a clone sk for China training probably 300 500 fps though on my box it said 800 to 900 fps I don't see that power from these low plinkers but is a good start the b1 and b2 are ok to though the cheaper b1 break barrel has a weak casting on most of the load chamber of the barrel and gets sloppy wobbles think b1 is lv1 b2 lvl 2 b3 and a b4 are higher love but still cheaper made

    • @Beesa10
      @Beesa10 22 дня назад +1

      I've got one very similar to this, it has the anti-bear trap feature but no safety. Was sold as SMK DB4, it has 'BAM' stamped on the cylinder which apparently stands for 'best airgun manufacturer'.

      @@ohshoot444 That's it yes. I have two of them; the B1 and the B3, both in .22 caliber. I had to disassemble and clean, de-bur everything before using, they are a bit rough. But then they're pretty good for the cheap price. 425fps for the B1 .22 and 500fps for the B3 .22 cal. These rifles are pretty fun, I actually shoot the B1 more because it's small and light.

    I've had a few of them and never found a reason to even attempt any improvements because the accuracy is just unusable.

    I have a tap loader, tho it is way safer, it has many downsides the worst one is unable to load pellet directly to the beech which raises the chances of pellet getting deformed while loading
