    Justin love what you do because you are not streamlined into just one topic and your love for Jesus is outwardly shown!! You are an amazing human being and I am a fan!! I work 12hr shifts so can’t always get on your lives unless I sneak in quickly for only a few minutes but always watch later. Thumbs up to you Justin and I hope someday you hit Washington state! ❤️ Staying true to yourself is seen and appreciated. 🎉

    Hey Justin! It was fun to watch you & Ol' Roscoe out and about! Too bad about the hog... but that happens! (I am confident that you'll get another chance at one soon! Ha, ha!) That coffee sure looked tasty & warming.
    I am insufferably pleased with myself that you enjoyed reading "Bears Of Blue River"! I've been getting another box of stuff ready to send down your way, probably sometime in February or there abouts. I hope you, Brody, & Roscoe like it!
    You keep on doing you & I'll see you down the trail!

      When I was growing up in the Hatchie River bottoms of West Tennessee I remember going out in the fall and picking up shagbark hickory nuts. I remember the first time I saw hickory horned devil. God makes some awesome critters. I shelled those hickory nuts with my homemade slingshot. I would shoot them against a brick wall. God bless you Justin :)@@SpiritoftheOutdoors

    I was on an eagle tour in the Wichita mts in Oklahoma during the winter years ago. The wildlife management had taken us on a bus into the protected part of the park. The guys I was with and I were glassing the ridges for elk and deer besides looking at eagles. We spotted a hog way up on a ridge. And the ranger heard us talking about it and called the headquarters to get someone to go after it.

    Justin, enjoyed your adventure out into the woods. I appreciate you taking us along with you and ol’ Roscoe. That was an interesting alcohol stove that you used to heat up the coffee. I have an alcohol stove but need one with a pot stand. Im going to look into ordering me one. Also, maybe time when it’s raining next week to do another video on your pack and what you are carrying into the woods. Just a thought… - Tennessee Smoky

    Heck yeah. Brother all i hunt is public land and have to walk sometimes long distances. I carry 2 of those insulated cooler bags that hold 48 soda cans. They roll up nice and easy to pack. I skin and bone my deer on ground. The hide just slips off way easier than hanging.
    The carcass looks like an alien been there😂. A slick skeleton with a full belly. Yep i get the tenderloins through cutting a slit in front of the hip.
    Sure thank you for making this video. You're absolutely right, many hunters today may have never skinned or processed a deer. Probably the only thing their knife touches is cutting the dates out on their tag.

    Are there glands on a wild boar? Likes on deer.
    That will spoil meat if you don't get it immediately?

    I like that intro tune. I don't know that I have heard that one yet. You make good music choices on your stuff. It is good to see the ice melting. I have had just about all the 20 degree and below temperatures that I care to put up with. At least it might kill some ticks and skeeters. We always say that, but come the warm, they bite you anyways, don't they?

    What’s your honest opinion of that beavercraft hatchet heck u got me wanting another case trapper so bad I can’t stand it don’t need it got plenty of skinning knives and pocket knives way better brands than case but my main carries is a 1964 sodbuster I found for five dollars at a yards ale and a buck 110 I got twenty years ago and a leather man free my wife got me for Valentine’s Day you would love it very handy

    • @SpiritoftheOutdoors
      @SpiritoftheOutdoors  8 месяцев назад +1

      The trapper i carry is a makers moore texas matador. My backup is a queen fish knife. If you have never owned a $20 queen knife give them a shot. I was impressed and i have case, hen and rooster, puma, and oldtimers and an uncle Henry tha is really schrade i think. the hatchet is great for cutting and small enough to carry. Stays sharp. Its not as great of a fire wood splitter because it is shaped thin on the blade to cut. I used it seperating them ribs for the stew and it worked good. I used it processing green brier root for medicine yesterday ( the big ball roots) . Ive never owned an expensive hatchet like granfors brooks . My dad has a couple marbles and this one is better than them . Ill do a good review on it this week cause its gonna be too wet to do much outside

      I had never heard of the Moore before they look nice like a case upgrade yeah I miss the old Schade uncle Henry’s were pretty decent when they were American made I have had a few hen and roosters but never a queen saw the case version fishing
      Knife it even has hook
      Sharpener on it not sure what I think if that
