+Bleenderhead You could not spawn tax collectors because there were no such option. They spawned automatically after being killed, and you could have more of them only by upgrading castle. Majesty forever in my memories.
I was also very young when I got this game, eight or nine years old. I could complete the easiest scenarios of the game, but even a little tougher maps were too much for me then. Fucking werewolves and vampires. But anyhow the magical landscapes and monsters like rock golems were the significant part of my childhood. :)

I think the game concept started out really well. Then diverted to gods and erecting statues and more towards gods of old which kind of fekt deviating to me. The things i liked: The way He says "You're Majesty" Building a kingdom for a king and keeping darkness away and nightmareish creatures away and raising up heroes.
One of the best games ever, graphically inferior which only added to its nostalgia and charm, I loved that each NPC wqas its own little person with their own aspirations evvn two of the same character types would behave a little differently, a true simulation video game not pre scripted as much as most other games nowdays are made. It is a crime against humanity that this game studio wasn't able to make Majesty 3 Return of the Gods ;)
i loved this game! and im was so happy when i found out that they were making (and made a second game) its a shame they didn't keep this theme song with it though but the graphics on majesty2 are epic! glad you made the old theme though its my favorite of all the old songs
@Ultrox007 hha old school! Epic ame, good old times. I re bought the game last year from Impulse Driven. You can get the Origanl with the Expansion for under $5.00 Dollars. Totally worth it!

@RTard48JRod Heh, no problem, hope you like it the monster kingdom expansion is great, is there a freestyle mode like in majesty 1? (that I haven't found yet) and yeah the announcer guy is awesome, when I first heard him in the opening cutscene I thought "Sean Connery?! ...Patrick Stewert..? ....some combination of the two?"
George Ledoux doing a Sean Connery impression. Also there is no freestyle mode in majesty 2, but there are a bunch of side missions. I know, it's not nearly the same. The mission with the Dragon/Vampire/Ogre is probably the closest you'll get to the old feel of the freestyle missions.
List of worst mistakes in Majesty 2: ballista towers cost more to make more, temples can only be built in certain places, they changed the phrases for the people, they made the game.
I swear the curse of stupidity, once you do that mission, it never goes away. :P And the sickness that makes your heroes sit at home doing nothing, that too.

I love this game and sound track. Gnomes were my favorite, they are cute and built a whole city in two seconds 🤪
They had their uses, and so did Dwarves, namely if you had access to one of the spells to speed them up.
They need to make a good sequel. (3D looks like shit)
One that allows building temples without the need of sacred sites.
