You mean why not name it an X2 M40i? The 40i replaced the 35i designation as an inline-6. They brought the 35i engine nameplate back to represent the high performance 2 liter 4 cylinder that debuts in the X2 M35i.
I like the looks but that red interior and the blue exterior don’t work for me. What things it competes with? A Mini four door (this car’s original platform), Range Rover Evoque, and on lower ends A Chevy Blazer, A Kia Soul Turbo DCT, a VW Golf R. Give me the Golf R all day every day.

Yesss another Torotonian! the DVP used to be enjoyable, maybe about 5 years ago. Now it's just congestion all day long
