Thats a $600 job. Our minimum is $350 to show up. Your cheating yourself and ruining the business by being a cut throat . You need to stay compatible with all other tree services so customers dont expect this kind of work for nothing. Nobody does anything like what you just did for $100.
The price of my work should not scare you. I work in my country at local prices. If I ever move to live in your country, I will work for you at your local prices.
I know a lot of people who complain about the cost of getting an arborist in. I would encourage anyone who complains to buy a chainsaw and do some basic chainsawing around their yard. Suddenly they'll realise how energy sapping it is, how skillful it is, how dangerous it can be, and that it costs money to maintain good equipment. After that they'll realise they shouldn't complain about the cost of an arborist.
Car dealerships offer " in house financing ". You could do similar and have the customer pay small amounts over long time and that way you'll have more customers and a safer neighborhood.

Do it! Bucking a tree into firewood length, carrying those heavy pieces, then getting to do the fun part and split it are ALL great exercise. THAT will get you to the point where you can comfortably climb!

I would love to keep doing stuff like that, but there's also about 20 different arborist companies around me that snap up any opportunity. This is the average price for a similar tree in my area/state. We have free medical insurance in our country. I can go to any public hospital and get free help there. We also have private paid clinics, their difference is that they have good service and there are no queues. How much do you pay for insurance in your state to practice climbing?
Man, I wish I could charge more for my work but in my country the citizens have low income. If I charged US$800-900 for such a tree, I would live in this country like the king of Saudi Arabia😁

It is safer to work in cut-resistant clothing, but I think it is more necessary for working on the ground. It’s easier and faster for me to cut the trunk into small pieces and not make nicks. I've been working like this for 7 years.

You have an expensive country to live in. In order for me to live with you in the USA, I think I need to earn about $500 a day. Or $10,000 per month on average. Or 120 thousand dollars a year. In Russia, I earn about $2,000 a month during the warm season, which is good money here.

Hope you are kidding about the $100. I get $500 or more every day for .trees like that. I would go broke a $100 . Cost that much in fuel to drive there now a days . Most companies are my area leave all or not around $500 hour. don't short suit yourself. good job though.
$100 is not a joke. I live and work in Russia, and it is about 3-4 times cheaper to live here than in the USA. We have an average wage for salaried workers in the country of about 500-600 US dollars per month! So $100 for 2 hours of work in my country is a good price.
Arborist here and someone who climbs and cuts trees down regularly. This guy is showing some good techniques in climbing and cutting. Though there a lot of unnecessary cuts he's making. For example when he cuts a limb and it hinges down. There's no reason to cut smaller branches off of it. They could possibly get caught up in the already hanging branch and get misdirected onto the fence or shed. The branches from what I can see shouldn't be that heavy and if they are rigging techniques should be implemented. The first thing that I saw that made me want to comment was at 4:57. He is holding onto the branch with one arm and cutting with the other. This is a regular practice while climbing and removing a tree. But the thing that he did wrong was the way he held the branch and made the cut. You should NEVER cross cut above your arm. In this scenario he could push down or lose control of the saw while making the cut and his arm would be right in the way of the saw and he could be cut very badly. You should instead switch hands, again at 4:57 if he were to hold the saw in his left and and the branch in his right. That would eliminate any danger of him cutting his arm very badly. I'm not trying to shame or discourage you from doing tree work, but I just want you to learn form an experienced person in the field and practice safe saw techniques. That is a really big mistake I've seen people make before and I would hate it if you accidentally cut your arm in this scenario. As getting out of the tree while bleeding or even losing strength in your arm would be a perilous mistake. Please take a little bit of my advice and be safe out there. Keep up the good work friend.

Here in Germany, my guess, probably around 450 EUR to get a professional just cut it down and drive to/from the spot, though that may vary on where exactly you are. It is not allowed to work alone in this business here, you will need two climbers. Interesting, never seen that technique before where you have the top on the rope and cut it down. Never use a powersaw with one hand. Never!
@@ArboristAlone Its not so much about me and you, I guess everybody probably does it from time to time, but its considered wrong on a formal basis. Sort of an evangelism. Some of these US guys like Reg Coates also propagate this. Powersaw may cripple you in a second and there are thousands of people wishing they'd have had both hands on the saw, also very experienced ones. Just keep that in mind and stay safe.

I do 90% of the work with one hand, but you don't need to work like me. This is very unsafe for an inexperienced person
