Huh! I guess I’m not the only one who’s recently discovered Virgil! That’s pretty cool! Honestly, I don’t care if he’s part of the Portal canon or not: if I had a choice, I’d say this sassy, eccentric little core is my favorite character of the franchise (and that’s saying a lot, considering we have Wheatley, GlaDOS, and all the other cores)! …About him saying he’s getting “cold” on the floor, there is a fan series called “Meet The Cores” where he works in a repair wing. There, he tells a core he’s that he’s removed his “pain simulation protocols” in order to fix his eye… implying that cores can actually feel physical contact. (He’s even voiced by the same actor as he is in the game.)
No wonder why he was so grateful to be saved! (It’s still pretty funny though; he’s treats his situation so casually, he’s more bothered about the cold floor than losing his battery 😂)
