thank you for subbing!!! the costumes and production and set are so gorgeous. it's interesting how actors have to remember their lines verbatim, even though there's so much dubbing after the fact with other voice actors ...
There was a scene in which A'Lasi (or whatever his name was) was speaking in his native Oirat tongue, but it was very clearly dubbed after the fact, and the actor was just speaking in regular Mandarin because he couldn't be bothered to learn a few lines in a foreign language. Some actors just don't want to try. Cole Sprouse learned Mandarin for a film he did in which he barely spoke any English, if at all. What's the Chinese actor's excuse??
