I live in South Africa and can verify that the Bull Mastiff is one of our dogs also sometimes called a Boerboel pronounced with a lovely rolling r and the oe sound like the u in the word pull. Not my favorite dog breed because of their wide heads and because they tend to slobber but mostly lovable guard dogs on the farms in my experience.

Yup! She's a Boerboel 😀And YES she does slobber a lot but we wouldn't trade her for the world... so sweet and loving!
