Was here in February. My first time skiing in Canada and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It hit every expectation and more. I really hope I can make it back someday. I also skied in whistler and big white wins hands down.

Re. the T-bars. Jamie was right about the first one. The one above the Moguls was put in later, for the benefit of us early cabin owners and 10 skiers folks, so that we didn't have to walk all the way up the road to get to the lift. I do however think that Jamie was mistaken about the bunny hill lift. I recall it as being a rope tow and that it was the old rope tow from Black Mtn.
In any case, we all had many great times in those early years. and yes, some words from Cliff would have been great. We used to say that Cliff kept the mountain going, with duct tape and bailing wire.

Shame Cliff Serwa wasn’t interviewed! (Maybe a part 2??)
Jamie Brown was slightly off on his OG T-bar. The FIRST T-bar went up from above where the Moguls is. Later, it moved to the line which includes the current T-bar line.

Thank you Big White for being my ski resort of choice. I sing praises of the snow, facilities, staff and the size of the mountain to all of my friends and family. Many more successful anniversaries to come. Cheers ⛷️🏂🚵‍♀️🚵‍♂️🗻🍾🍾🍾🥂🍺🍷

Most ridiculous crock I've sat through. It's as if Big White didn't exist before the take over by Schumann. So many people helped build Biggie into what Des had to work with and expand, with no tributes to the locals that broke the backside ski trails and let them know that the back side could be used. No one mentioned that when you paid a groomer working nights, he'd run the Powder Chair for epic moonlight skiing, or the guy that drove his Subaru up to the top of the mountain no headlights on, and would drive back down for another load of skiers. This video is seriously lacking. You should have been there in the early 80s when it rocked!!

No I wasn’t there in the early 80’s. But I. Know that since I started going there the current ownership, Management and staff have created an International Resort that makes you feel like you as a guest are family and provide a quality experience! Having been around the resort numerous time I have never seen anything that down played the contribution of founders or locals. The video is not a detailed history but synopsis of what has been and what is offered moving forward. Maybe you missed a few points in the Video. It is not a 2hr Documentary. Remember Skiing should be Fun

@@sking3571 When a video is called 60 Years of Big White, I expected 60 years covered better without gaps. It was very disappointing. I didn't need a 2 hour documentary. I just thought that with all the talented people that made BW grow, that there would be more recognition. The should be grateful humility and thanks. This video provides none of that.

No it wasn't well done. It was a Michael J Ballsup video ignoring the true history of Big White.

After 60 years, you ignored some of the influencing families that got Big White going. You missed interviews with the people that helped Big White grow, and develop.
You missed the mark Badly on this video.
