Honestly, Sunny was one of the most natural idol, I have seen, on variety shows. Remember when SNSD was at their debut, Sunny was everywhere doing variety shows. I wish they do some similar concept to Invincible Youth with a new crop of girlgroups again.

*If you sit back and think about it, Sunny's skills are bewildering. While the other girls look most certainly nice and friendly, I hope they learn as much as possible from the legendary Sunny who can juggle so many things at the same time on this show to maximize the fun and the entertainment.*

"fade appropriately into the background to allow the other guests to shine in their moments." THIS. I was wondering why Sunny looked so dim (look at her posture compared to everyone else) and kind of out of the loop. I realized that, like she said, she's an experienced idol and SNSD has its legendary title, so being with these fresh faces makes her feel a bit misplaced (though it's pretty unavoidable now with the forefront groups dropping left and right).
I think your sentiment also fits with that. Sunny knows what she and SNSD are, so even though she's present in this episode, she wants to let these groups have their time to gain more interest to newcomers and do some service for the fans they already have.

Yep if day comes that SNSD isn't active anymore Sunny has lots of options if she wants to keep working in the public eye. She'd be a great addition to a show like 2 Days 1 Night if they ever decided to cast a woman to fill a vacancy as her talents are varied enough that she can stand out on a show like that and not be relegated to the back row by the boys much as Hyori often did on Family Outing.
Tbh sunny was really funny and good in here she tried to even get the girl mc involved. She noticed that she didn't get enough screentime and gave her advise. Sunny is really down to earth and really funny. Here she was abit laid back but i really loved how she gave advise to others.

Lol all these comments bashing sunny... I don't see her being arrogant at all... Times when she doesn't have any expression, she's just listening intently to what the others are saying. Sometimes I feel like she's reminiscing about her younger days. She's giving the girls the spotlight and only stepping up when she's asked or to make things funnier.
You can even see her comforting sejeong when she's talking abt her grandpa. AND SHE THE ONE THAT CAN RELATE TO THIS THE MOST IF YOU WATCHED IY1.
Don't focus only on her RBF moments, have you not seen her laughing and smiling in the vids. You guys talk as if she had a RBF throughout the whole show... Honestly, even if she is not the most popular member in SNSD, she is a really BIG SUNBAE with lots of experience and she's really good at variety.

Did anyone else noticed how Sunny took 10 steps back to give the rookies the spotlight???? She has been known to choose rookies & new members of a group as her partner so they could get enough screen-time and I see that will never changed. She took the time to guide them yet never take away their shine. She is God's gift to mankind. As much as the host went on & on about Snsd she never once bathe in that glory yet spread it to all the other girls.I loved her words of wisdom about jealousy in a popular (about how ones popularity is the groups popularity) & not changing the group dance. She really need to open a school to guide up & coming young girls who wish to survive in the Kpop world. I don't know how a person like her who was born with everything, one who is among the greatest group to hit the Kpop scene be so humble & kind. In the words of Kara's Hara, "with knowing who she was one would think she's stuck up but she's everything but." She's kind, caring and supportive, words we've heard times and times again from just about anyone who ever had to comment on Lee Soonkyu aka Sunny. I want nothing else in life but to meet this amazing young lady one day. This is my dream.
She knows her popularity.. she doesnt need to hog it. All GG girls know how big they are .... If anything, they are loud and talk over each other for comic effect but never with other girl groups. They know they are the textbook of girl groups but they are playing it cool. Also if she hogs the spotlight she gets hate, shes not stupid lol.

I agree with you, but that is such a good 'marketing' strategy as well. It is a plus to remember them by something. Also they added more to that story as well, how they would have disbanded if up&down doesn't hit it, so I think EXID don't mind that much. And ofc everything we see here is scripted and was reviewed by the agencies, so I don't think anything really hurtful would be shared with the public.
They literally talked about that for a minute! Touching on that gives viewers who didn't know the predicament EXID were in before Up & Down (which I assume is quite a lot) insight on the journey of their group, it gives them depth.
when sejeong cried my heart hurt alot. The fact that I.O.I is really gonna end in January breaks my heart, I wish it is a dream that will never end. Their popularity is no joke, if only they were a permanent group they'd be one of the most popular groups out there today. =(

1. SNSD: Band of 5 but still going strong.
2. Gugudan: Haven't got the fame they deserved.
3. MelodyDay: Disbanded? (Probably).
4. Laboum: Just released their comeback.
5. GFriend: Just finished their southeast asian tour.
6. EXID: Better and more mature. Still busy with their individual activities.

exid...2 signed to different companies but assured us that they will not be disbanding. they did promotions in japan but recently solji just didn't continue her contract? i dunno anymore u.u

Exid even tho has no plan to disband but the 7 years curse are creeping on them. They actually at year 8 so basically they beaten the curse but i still concern for them. Latest mv didnt hit 1 mil on youtube and all members has own things to do, that is NOT a good sign

Sunny always so funny when she came to Happy Together. Three times she had came to this show and she's still amazingly good. This combination also so good,all the girls had different charms. Even though for some of them this's the first time for them working together but they had that chemistry. The fact that all of them entered Naver most talked about idols chart after appearing in this show and this episode has made Happy Together raised to Top 10 Content Power Index Chart has proven that everyone loved and enjoyed this episode so much. It makes me learn about how lovely other group members too. So much positivity came from this show 😀

I love this episode! I fell in love with all of the guests and honestly I came here for Sunny but found out a lot more about other girl group members! I love how chill Sejeong was or how awkward Chahee was because I can totally relate to her. I also love how Solji talk about how EXID were going to disband but a miracle happened with Up and Down because that just showed how things can change in a split second so don't give up! I love how Yerin is keeping up with the image of that school girl but change immediately during the zombie dance and how funny Solbin was with her 'dad jokes' and 11 imitations! Lastly, my girl Sunny, I'm so proud of you for upholding your legend status and at the same time, giving your hoobaes much more screen time and not hog all the attentions to yourself. I also love how you stay humble and try to show your affections quietly (like she lowkey patted Sejeong's back when she cried). I'm so proud and that made me realize that Girls' Generation has grown up to be the legend that every girl groups look up to and will forever be the Nation's Girl Group no matter how many girl groups come and go and even if their popularity fades down, they will still go down as the best girl group South Korea ever has and the world has ever seen.
You can't deny that Girls' Generation is keeping their place as the NGG because even Yoo Jaesuk and other mcs said that "That's why she's a legend' (during Sunny' s introduction) "The textbook of girl group's dance;Gee" etc etc.
I'm so proud of Sunny here. You go Lee Soonkyu! I swear Girls' Generation never fail to make me proud. All of them. Taeyeon,Jessica,Sunny,Hyoyeon,Tiffany,Yuri,Sooyoung,Yoona and Seohyun are the best. Incredibly popular members who are in parallel with their group's success and until today, still have the strong impact on the South Korea's music scenes.

I don't know much about Sejeong, I only know that she became well-known because she's part of I.O.I and also a member of gugudan. Even then I don't know much about I.O.I and I also only know gugudan because they're VIXX's "sister" group. But after watching her in this episode, I feel like she's a very lovely and caring girl. I love her attitude. I hope she can be more successful in the future. :)
