Gday Johno, It was very kind of you and your family to let us share your trip mate. When the kids are older they will remember Dad’s U Tube movies from Tassie. Thanks to you and travel safe mate.
He gets 10/10 for correctly calling it a ship and not a boat, but loses a point for trying to convince us it was a rough crossing😏😆 If the waves aren't breaking over the bow it's a calm sea. The rest of your video was very enjoyable.
The boat I travelled over and back on was a bigger an over night trip and I got talking to officer from the ship he said it rocks a bit but only worry when we lay the ropes out down the aisles to hang on to as you walk around. Great trip everyone should do it.
Hey Johnno, I recently discovered your channel and I'm hooked. We've stayed in the same cottage in Tassie. We came in winter and it was snowing. The forest floor at the back was covered in a layer of snow and it looked magical. It was bloody cold though! Glad you and your family are having a great time there. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Oh I loved it Robert. It was very steady even though the waters got a bit choppy at times. It would have cost more as we would have had to hire a car if we flew.
Awesome video Johnno (as usual), I’ve really been loving all theses new RUclipsrs with all the amazing drone footage and places that the average Joe has never even heard of let alone seen - a big 👍 to yourself and all the others ie Ken, Molly, Grego, Tez and anyone else I may of forgotten.👍👍 A huge thank you for taking the time and effort to provide us with such great content.
Geez Johnno, you must have a great bucket list for when you get out of the Kenworth permanently. You missed so many other interesting places. This is what i say to my wife when we miss some things..that's for our next trip. But you found some places we have missed so they are on the next trip..Thanks buddy.
Hi Jonno liked your video of our state of Tasmania. Amazingly the round house is less than 3 km from our place we think a special bit of Tassey. I enjoy your trucking videos, this one however was special.
Oh wow. You live in the Promised Land? Hey whilst I was arriving there, in town there is the oval and they had all these Amish people. I thought it was a dress up festival but I think they all are real. Is this true?
Good on you Bunji, you are full of surprises in my home state, I have family in Burnie and Hobart and have done the crossing many times. thank you for showing the best of Tassie, would love to see you in good old Darwin one day!!! on yer mate!!!
Hey Jono and family. Went to tassie last November. Absolutely beautiful. Need at least a month to see everything or a lifetime to see it all. Glad you had a great time. I’ll be back
Hi John, glad you and your family enjoyed our state. Your day sailings were perfect. We sail regularly to get to the other side. taking our motor home back across the Nullarbor in April. Ithe drone footage was breathtaking across Queenstown. Quite the moonscape 😮 thank you for sharing your family getaway.
Impressive! Thank you very much for sharing! It's been more than 30 years that I have been there, just for three days in a three weeks "all of Australia" trip. Touching for me: Your way of travelling. My family endet 2019, we have always travelled a lot, it has been the best ten years of my life. Last autumn, a week exploring parts of the UK we've never been to with my daughter (18 than, so with me on the passenger seat often) brought back memories. Anyways, before I become sentimental: Keep it up, save trips! And good holidays often start with a ferry! ;)
Thanks Marc. Yes holidays are the best and I was really looking forward to the ship. They have 2 new and bigger ships on order. The first will arrive around September they say. I've never been to the UK so I can't say much about that one.
@@RoadTrainAdventures I have been with Caro (my daughter) first time ever on a hybride ferry in October, the Diesels only producing energy for all electrical motors. Impressive, so smooth. Don't know if you got instagram, could share a few pics about rips in the UK. You and your family would love it, especially Scotland. I'm german by birth, but my heart is living there... And I have been lucky enough to visit many places of planet earth!
Hi Johno, you really have mastered the drone. Great footage, makes me want ot go back to Tassie, it is a beautiful place of natural scenery, can I have a drone for Chrissy? lol. Actualy I noticed Kenny has one now, you will need to give him all the clues when next you guys cross paths.
Hi ya Johnno. I know it’s an older post mate but I cross often-ish and night voyage with a cabin is the best way to do it. Trouble is I always take a bottle of whiskey and drink too much 🤣
We're really enjoyed your video to tasmania. Anyway Jhon we would like to suggest you that regarding to start a new documentary channel.similar to this channel Road Train ADVENTURES. Because your videography and presentation is Exellent for it. Just think about it. We're waiting to watch jhonny's new documentary channel. Thanks.
We have laws saying stay in line of site and don't fly over buildings or 30m away from people. Might be a bit incriminating the fact your braking some laws over here.
Thanks Johno you saved me some money I don't have to go to Tasmania now as you've showed us all the good attractions 😂 Thanks for the post very humble of you showing your private holiday with your family, I bet you had trouble driving that big rig into the parking area on the ship.😂
Hi Jonno, great to see you've been getting some quality time with the family during your break. I'm sure your wife and kids really appreciate it
Yes. I'm going back to work tomorrow after 4 weeks off. Sad for me

Awesome. Thanks for joining us. Wow all the way from Scandinavia
Great video John. But interesting editing driving up the ramp at devonport then all of sudden your on the boat at Geelong.
Yes I didn't get much footage at the Geelong end so I started the video at Tasmania
Thank you for the beautiful pictures of Tasmania. Very well done! Kai from Germany.
Thanks heaps Kai. It's great to have more people along from Germany. I have a few others with me now.

@RoadTrainAdventures my pleasure Johnno anytime, and yes we did, haven't been there for ages, even though it's just up the road 🤫🍻🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺🙂👍😊
At least around there we were on the main highway. From there to Hobart was very hilly and very few overtaking lanes. We were in a hurry.
Yeh great Video Johnno Tassie is a fantastic place, nice to see you have fun with the family
Thanks. It was a very short stay but were glad we went across.
Hi John nice family you have and a nice video from your country greetings from Holland👌

Great video Jonno, we love tassy, so much to see. But they can keep their ferry for mine 🤢. Jump on the metal bird
Oh I loved it Robert. It was very steady even though the waters got a bit choppy at times. It would have cost more as we would have had to hire a car if we flew.
When I first saw the thumb nail, I thought you were taking a set of doubles to Tasmania.🤣
I wish. I have dropped off pipes for Tasmania but we do them at Tasfreight and they take them across.
Glad to see you having some
Quality time with family johno
Thanks. I don't get much family time.

Thanks for coming along. It's always great to have more Canadians along.
Very much enjoyed. The air here in Bangkok is bad now. Looks like we need to move there.
There certainly is a lot of fresh air in Tassy
Really enjoyed Tassi - will be going back again - the climate is so similar to where I live in British Columbia, Canada ..... well done mate!
Thanks Bob. I would have thought Tasmania would be a lot hotter than Canada.
Hey Jono and family. Went to tassie last November. Absolutely beautiful. Need at least a month to see everything or a lifetime to see it all. Glad you had a great time. I’ll be back

Thanks Charlie. I really needed it. Back to work Monday so we shall see what comes of the next video.
Gee the spirit of Tasmania changed a lot, haven't been on it for near 11 yrs 😮😊
They have two new ships being built. The first is expected to be delivered around September. They are way bigger all round so that will be nice.
@RoadTrainAdventures yeah they always had 2, but yes wife loves ships boats, and was saying the same, have a great weekend 🍻🍻🇦🇺🤝🇦🇺🙂👍😊
Great video Johno, proper get away from it all. Best wishes from the UK
Thanks Andrew. It was a great get away
Beautiful place and the camera footage did it justice ✌️🇬🇧
Thanks Chris
Hi Jono , looks like a great place , a bit like parts of Scotland , did you see any Taz Devils when you were there , back home and on the road again 😊
No I didn't see any Tasmania Devils. In fact I didn't see many dogs either.
So that's what the ship looks like
For sure
Impressive!

Yes you could try and share the link here. RUclips may block it but give it a go.
Nice holiday, but I missed the engine noise!😅
Ha ha. There were only certain parts of the ship you could hear any exhaust noise.
Love this video, thanks, something I can't do but I can see it through your eyes 🤩
Sorry it wasn't longer but I had to spend time with my family.
Love that drone footage, love to know what you use? 😊
I use the Mavic 3 Pro from DJI
@RoadTrainAdventures ok thanks Johnno appreciated 🙏 👍 🙂 🇦🇺🍻

Thanks Doug. I do it all. Ha ha
Tassie is the one state I not been to, no bridge .@@RoadTrainAdventures
My first time too. I mainly did it for the ride on the ship. It was my wife who wanted to go.

Fantastic video Johnno with great music, you are a pro. The drone work was so steady. You must give Kenny some tips as he's a newbie with his drone😊😊
Thanks Paul. Ken will be a pro in no time. Just look at his videos.
Was that a friendly wild mouse? what the hell!!
My daughter was calling it a rat but it must be some kind of rodent.
So lovely!!!!!!! Kids can't sit in the front seat here in the US.
Oh. That's similar here too but only for little kids.
Barramundi is the best fish of the world 😜
Yes it's certainly up there. I grew up on Snapper
You've obviously never tried Blue eyed Trevalla or Pink ling. 😆
No I haven't
@@RoadTrainAdventures Tassie would have been the place to eat them. They're deep sea fish with soft white flesh - Extremely tasty.

Thanks Tony. For me I was more excited about going on the ship than saying Tasmania. The hilly countryside was great too.
