No I didn't see any Tasmania Devils. In fact I didn't see many dogs either.

My daughter was calling it a rat but it must be some kind of rodent.

Oh I loved it Robert. It was very steady even though the waters got a bit choppy at times. It would have cost more as we would have had to hire a car if we flew.
Great video John. But interesting editing driving up the ramp at devonport then all of sudden your on the boat at Geelong.
Yes I didn't get much footage at the Geelong end so I started the video at Tasmania

The boat I travelled over and back on was a bigger an over night trip and I got talking to officer from the ship he said it rocks a bit but only worry when we lay the ropes out down the aisles to hang on to as you walk around. Great trip everyone should do it.

At least around there we were on the main highway. From there to Hobart was very hilly and very few overtaking lanes. We were in a hurry.
Really enjoyed Tassi - will be going back again - the climate is so similar to where I live in British Columbia, Canada ..... well done mate!

We have laws saying stay in line of site and don't fly over buildings or 30m away from people. Might be a bit incriminating the fact your braking some laws over here.
That's nice but if you are there so see that people are always safe.

It's been more than 30 years that I have been there, just for three days in a three weeks "all of Australia" trip.
Touching for me: Your way of travelling.
My family endet 2019, we have always travelled a lot, it has been the best ten years of my life.
Last autumn, a week exploring parts of the UK we've never been to with my daughter (18 than, so with me on the passenger seat often) brought back memories.
Anyways, before I become sentimental: Keep it up, save trips!
And good holidays often start with a ferry! ;)
Thanks Marc. Yes holidays are the best and I was really looking forward to the ship. They have 2 new and bigger ships on order. The first will arrive around September they say. I've never been to the UK so I can't say much about that one.
@@RoadTrainAdventures I have been with Caro (my daughter) first time ever on a hybride ferry in October, the Diesels only producing energy for all electrical motors. Impressive, so smooth.
Don't know if you got instagram, could share a few pics about rips in the UK.
You and your family would love it, especially Scotland. I'm german by birth, but my heart is living there... And I have been lucky enough to visit many places of planet earth!

Hi John, glad you and your family enjoyed our state. Your day sailings were perfect. We sail regularly to get to the other side. taking our motor home back across the Nullarbor in April. Ithe drone footage was breathtaking across Queenstown. Quite the moonscape 😮 thank you for sharing your family getaway.

Geez Johnno, you must have a great bucket list for when you get out of the Kenworth permanently. You missed so many other interesting places. This is what i say to my wife when we miss some things..that's for our next trip. But you found some places we have missed so they are on the next trip..Thanks buddy.

Hi Johno, you really have mastered the drone. Great footage, makes me want ot go back to Tassie, it is a beautiful place of natural scenery, can I have a drone for Chrissy? lol. Actualy I noticed Kenny has one now, you will need to give him all the clues when next you guys cross paths.
Ken and I talk all the time so he will get good at it very fast.

They have two new ships being built. The first is expected to be delivered around September. They are way bigger all round so that will be nice.
