WMS was such a disappointment after Wish

It has its moments but yes overall Wish is one of The Cure's finest albums however nobody can pretend releasing great albums one after another forever. You got to understand the scenario The Cure was going through at that time, new wave was gone, a new lineup (Thompson and Williams out) Gallup was sick in the record process. In the end they did what they could and it felt at least honest and real. It has some good songs, in fact The Cure was never on top again after Wish.
