    This is undoubtedly the most satisfying truck design to watch. Please keep the hopper vids coming and if you get a chance, get vid of your truck dumping the load, maybe mount the cam on the tailgate or something?
    Would be great to see what it all looks like after it's run through the auger...

    I like how the helix starts turning as the arm is grabbing and lifting the can. It pushes the previous load further in for those couple of seconds before the next load arrives. It is a small engineering detail in the grand scheme of things but clearly it was properly thought through.

    This really is a brutal crushing method. It rips everything up as it forces everything through that tiny hole. Its beautifully ruthless and I especially like seeing toys being crushed up.

    I also drive a rotopac but I don’t have the sliding door in the hopper. One time I had 600 cans already on the truck and dumped a can of lumber. One of the boards got wedged between the auger and opening for the body. As it was spinning it was causing friction and started to smoke. I caught it in time and played with it to get it pushed back. Before you reversed it for smoke you dumped wood so maybe it was the same thing I had. I have also had steel car rims jam my auger. It will eat it but has to take bites out of it by reversing it and break it into smaller pieces.

    • @TheGarboGetter233
      @TheGarboGetter233  Год назад

      Yeah... that door makes a world of difference, especially for the longevity of the auger. I've had rims and when i get one. I just hop up there and proceed to chuck it into the customer's driveway. I did have a steel beer keg that I had to eat. Took it pretty easy too. Lol

      Couch would be too big for the hopper. This truck is mainly designed for residential trash that is put in 96 gallon carts. But I'd say if you could get the auger to bite into a couch, it would eat it no problem.

      I drive a rear loader with twin compartments. It can easily take up to 500 bins x 2
      It crushes and compact pretty well, but doesn’t shreds the waste like yours do😮
      If my truck had augers in each compartment it could run fully electric without hydraulics.
      Looks like every kind of vehicles are heading towards electric.
      Insane torque and the auger would be insanely powerful with electric motor through a planetary drive.
      Is there any good answer to why there isn’t any rear loader with auger?
      They say it’s about safety, but if someone fell into the hopper its game over anyway😂😂
