This is undoubtedly the most satisfying truck design to watch. Please keep the hopper vids coming and if you get a chance, get vid of your truck dumping the load, maybe mount the cam on the tailgate or something? Would be great to see what it all looks like after it's run through the auger...
I like how the helix starts turning as the arm is grabbing and lifting the can. It pushes the previous load further in for those couple of seconds before the next load arrives. It is a small engineering detail in the grand scheme of things but clearly it was properly thought through.
This really is a brutal crushing method. It rips everything up as it forces everything through that tiny hole. Its beautifully ruthless and I especially like seeing toys being crushed up.
@@TheGarboGetter233Would you still dump the 96 gallon toter if you pulled up to a row of 4 toters full of my wet disposable diapers and I was in one of them, wearing only my diapers with my legs dangling over the side?
Thats so damn satisfying to watch. Love how it just rips and destroys everything that goes in. Also never realized how many pizzas 🍕 Americans eat lol. Im one of them. 😅
I also drive a rotopac but I don’t have the sliding door in the hopper. One time I had 600 cans already on the truck and dumped a can of lumber. One of the boards got wedged between the auger and opening for the body. As it was spinning it was causing friction and started to smoke. I caught it in time and played with it to get it pushed back. Before you reversed it for smoke you dumped wood so maybe it was the same thing I had. I have also had steel car rims jam my auger. It will eat it but has to take bites out of it by reversing it and break it into smaller pieces.
Yeah... that door makes a world of difference, especially for the longevity of the auger. I've had rims and when i get one. I just hop up there and proceed to chuck it into the customer's driveway. I did have a steel beer keg that I had to eat. Took it pretty easy too. Lol
love these augers. maybe longer vidoes ???!!! i would love it if the auger keeps going unless there are no trash cans for a bit ???? maybe the stopping and starting is harder on the gears ??????
I’m currently having technical difficulties with my editor. But I definitely will get y’all some longer videos. Reversing tho doesn’t hurt the auger. 👍🏼
Would you still dump the 96 gallon toter if I were laying in one full of my unrolled, wet disposable diapers while wearing only my diaper with my legs dangling over the side?
@@TheGarboGetter233 Why would you say such a thing? There IS no "law" or ordinance or company policy that specifically states that you can't take a diapered human as waste. You already do take, horses, cows, cats, dogs, and other flesh....why discriminate?
I've loved whem you've ran it backwards few times. The packing is so brutal that it's nice to see it goes in reverse and see how some of the stuff looks like. I wish you woud've done that 20x in a previous videos when you've dumped 2 cans full of woman's clothes 🤣 I know you can't do that haha but it was sad to see that much clothes completely disapears in a blink of an eye 🥲
It got fairly well packed there towards the end. Post up a video of it when its basically full. Also does this thing overflow a good bit when its well and truely full?
Couch would be too big for the hopper. This truck is mainly designed for residential trash that is put in 96 gallon carts. But I'd say if you could get the auger to bite into a couch, it would eat it no problem.
We don’t pick up excess… but if the person wants to meet me at the road. I let them throw in the extra. Like this guy filled up his can again after I went by and put it on the other side of the street. Which doesn’t bother me.
I drive a rear loader with twin compartments. It can easily take up to 500 bins x 2 It crushes and compact pretty well, but doesn’t shreds the waste like yours do😮 If my truck had augers in each compartment it could run fully electric without hydraulics. Looks like every kind of vehicles are heading towards electric. Insane torque and the auger would be insanely powerful with electric motor through a planetary drive. Is there any good answer to why there isn’t any rear loader with auger? They say it’s about safety, but if someone fell into the hopper its game over anyway😂😂 Your channel is awesome @poland347
Yeah, this truck definitely would have a tough time with a recycle route. But as long as you get some heavy & finess the auger a little. Rarely does cardboard give me too hard a time.
So when does it jam? Seemed to devour the bin with roll of carpet/ the bin of stick on flooring/ the timber bin and that folded up sign board with out a problem. Gotta love printer cartridge dust, always looks like smoke.

Great truck , why don't they all use this system , ready enjoy watching it work ,
I sometimes wonder the same. That’s part of the reason I started these videos. To show the efficiency of the auger when it comes to regular trash.
love your video's bro
Nice vid. Would love to see the inside of the compartmnt where the auger sends the rubbish.
Thank you for the insight! It ended up being just fine, so that's good. Haha
Nice Video again. Looked like there was nearly a Fire starting
Yeah…. That’s why I stopped and reversed it a couple of times. I was nervous for the rest of my route. Lol

Lis the hopper automatic or do U press a Button for it to work or does it work when the arm moves
From my understanding, it runs whenever the deadman switch is held down on the joystick.
no new video's anymore?? missing it.

What kind of chassis is this beast on?

Normally it only jams when it gets close to being loaded. Every so often it happens, but thats very rare.
