And do you possibly know what is the highest RAM speed this laptops motherboard supports? I also have the Y520 by the way

Have the exact same computer here, do you have to make any sort of backup for any of these?
Ps. I still need to open my legion myself, but there is a high chance that when I sent my pc to have my HDD replaced, the guy might have just stolen the SSD. Although it might not have been included in in the first place. My model didn't even had the backlight keyboard.

Hey man. So i want to upgrade my RAM. Currently have a stock 8GB SK Hynix 2400MHz stick installed. Im looking at getting a Kingston 8GB 2400MHz stick. Will these two RAM sticks ive mentioned work together? Thanks

Hey! I dont see why those two RAM chips would not work together. I have read that when possible you should try to use two of the same models/brands of RAM but there should be no reason those wouldnt work together. In regards to the most amount of RAM the laptop will accept: 32gb is what I have read the ceiling is. Hope that helps and good luck with the upgrade!

@@wyattfleming5776 thanks for your reply dude! What I meant by highest RAM speed was can I put let's say a 16GB 3200MHz stick in there or does it only support 2400MHz?

No, there is only one m.2 slot for your ssd which is already filled and one hdd slot within the laptop. The only way to upgrade is to either get a more up to date ssd with nvme or a faster hdd but both require you to either transfer or reinstall your files

Why would you put a 32gb ram on this laptop? The motherboard can only support up to 16gb. 😂
