It was pretty cool to visit. Someone has made a very poor planning job to not have a place fully established before the money spent on restoration. Where did the restoration money come from? Sounds like a boondoggle for a local ship yard. If it 😊was government money, will it be wasted?
@@DIYJim-wx6hq combination of donations and grants . Having to preplan for who would want an iconic shrine in the state it’s named after, that is 112 years old and was involved in numerous fighting events around the world shouldn’t be a question and reflects poorly on the wealthy people and businesses that reap the benefits of her contributions(not to mention the tourism)to laying the ground work for their freedoms to be successes. The ship deserves better. Much better.
"Loud machinery" and "noise"? A lot of those businesses wouldn't even be on people's radars if USS Texas isn't nearby- do they really think they're that much of a business anchor on their own? Only reasons I'd even think of going there would be USS Texas, not their business, especially now as they think they're that important in comparison to the Mighty T.
Their excuse is loud machinery and noise. Those peers are across from a shipyard.😂
Will it fit inside The Astrodome?

“Loud machinery”? They don’t run the engines or shoot the guns!

Then take her out of Texas since they don't want her. I'm sure there's another state that will give her a home.
Needs to go back to San Jacinto
That Ship has Sailed! Nobody Came!
Should have been made into a reef.
What a disgusting thought. A putrid attitude to say the least .
