  • We purchased our first plug-in hybrid two years ago to adjust to EV life gradually. Since then I have recommended Hybrids over full EV's because of the life style that families have these days. It's about getting to and from work with minimal emissions, then taking long road trips without and new anxieties.
This PHEV accomplishes all that we need as a family. It's large and affordable. We only charge it at home, and that only takes an hour and a half.

You showed your vehicle going through a car wash.. I have a 2023 KIA Sportage with the same drive train and features. Several things you need to be aware before you go through a car wash that moves your car along while it is in neutral. The first is to be sure that after you put it in neutral, you must hit the " OK " button on the steering wheel. if you don't, the car may activate the parking brake in the middle of the wash which is scary to say the least. Hitting the "OK " button lets the car know that you intend to stay in neutral, and that it is not rolling away unintentionally. The second thing is to check that the wipers are in the "OFF" position. If you did not know and left them in the " AUTO " position, they will start wiping when the water hits the windshield. I have both of these happen to me. I love my Sportage also. One year ownership and 15K miles. 90 mpg so far. Great SUV.
