I love Azyan's voice. When she sings, when she speaks. The fact that she didn't become a city girl a she keeps her heart in family and nature, is making her an absolute gem.

I was very happy to see an interview. I would like to see interviews with each member. For me, I can get more enjoyment from a song if I know where it comes from. Understanding the people and meaning behinds a song endears me closer to the song and artist. Even though I live in USA, Otyken has quickly become one of my favorite bands. Now, learning a little about Azyan helps me to appreciate it even more. I hope to see more interviews in the future. Tyvm for the music

I just love Otyken and I'm 72. The music reminds me of the Australian Bushmen and their dirigeridoo. Very primal and energizing. I mention the band often on my Facebook page. I am a strong supporter of indigenous Native Americans musicians.

Azyan, I am a fan of your music and how you love your culture and the environment. When you sing the passion you have is undeniable, your music (Otyken) is both powerful and soothing. 1-Puoi raccontarci la tua infanzia? 2-Sono stato molto libero nella mia infanzia. C'era così tanta roba buona. 3-Dove hai vissuto? In città o in paese? 4-Era un villaggio di circa 200 persone. Nel frattempo, vivere una vita tradizionale è stato fantastico. 5-Li conoscevi tutti? 6-Certo, tutti si conoscevano. 7-Che lavoro faceva la tua famiglia? 8-Mio padre era impegnato nella pesca. Come passavi il tempo con tuo padre? Andresti a pescare, nella foresta? 10-Andavo nella foresta (taiga) con i miei amici e andavo a pescare con mio padre. 11-Quando catturi un pesce, devi mangiarlo vivo. Non potevi aspettare. Potrebbe sfuggirti di mano in qualsiasi momento e scappare scodinzolando.
12-Non linciarmi, ma sono deliziosi quando mangiano così. Il pesce fresco ha il sapore delle ostriche. Quando ho riprovato in città, tutti quei ricordi mi sono tornati in mente. 13-Quando arrivavamo a riva, pulivamo le squame e l'interno dei pesci catturati mentre erano ancora vivi e li mangiavamo il prima possibile. 14-La consistenza era abbastanza diversa. Aveva una carne dura ma era piuttosto gustosa. 15-Hai dei ricordi speciali che vuoi raccontare? 16-Ad esempio, qualcosa di straordinario o qualcosa del genere 17-C'erano cose ordinarie ogni giorno. Mi alzavo alle cinque o alle sei del mattino. Soprattutto in estate... 18-Tutto il cielo diventava rosa, arancione e oro. 19-I colori si riflettevano nel fiume e il cielo e il fiume si mescolavano. Enorme! 20-In tutto questo silenzio imperante, potevo sentire il respiro del fiume...
21-In questi momenti, ho sentito la presenza di qualcuno di misterioso. 22-Cosa rende speciale il tuo villaggio? Ci sono arti o mestieri tradizionali? 23-Credo che i nostri abitanti del villaggio siano speciali. Perché la nostra cultura appartiene a una delle minoranze indigene della Russia. 24-Conosciamo la nostra lingua madre, che è sull'orlo dell'estinzione. Come mestiere, la mia gente è impegnata nell'apicoltura. 25-La pesca è un hobby per noi. Siamo dipendenti dal pesce fresco. Alleviamo anche bovini. 26- Abbiamo istituito un gruppo chiamato Otyken per proteggere la nostra cultura Chulim Tatar. Vedi, il tempo sta finendo, stiamo invecchiando. Le nostre tradizioni e canti popolari stanno scomparendo. Questo è un grande peccato. 27-Che tipo di canzoni popolari hai ascoltato durante la tua infanzia?
28-I miei genitori non mi cantavano ninne nanne, ma c'erano alcune canzoni che ballavamo. Mio padre suonava una fisarmonica locale di nome Bayan. 29-Ci sedevamo e cantavamo anche con mio padre. Era un musicista. 30-Non abbiamo composto le canzoni. Come mai? Perché i tatari Chulim erano molto piccoli e tutti erano impegnati con i propri affari. 31-Siamo stati gli unici a occuparci di musica fino ad ora. Ci piace lavorare su questo business. 32-Quali periodi vuoi cantare? Cosa succede in questi tempi? Quando sei felice o quando sei triste? 33-Sono triste per qualche motivo, tendo a cantare canzoni tristi. Tutte le persone sono così? 34- Mentre alcuni tendono a cantare canzoni tristi, io canticchio. Questo mi rilassa.
35-Quando sono felice, voglio cantare ed esibirmi. Non sono molto bravo a comporre. Canto invece la canzone, ma posso solo emettere alcuni suoni acuti. 36-Non scrivi le tue canzoni? 37- Riesco a comporre solo nella mia testa. Poi mi metto a camminare e provo a dirlo. Finora non ci sono riuscito, ma un giorno... 38-Non senti ululare il vento mentre cammini verso la foresta (taiga) in riva al fiume? Non vuoi cantare con il vento? 39- Integrarsi con la natura? 40-Amo cantare quando il vento ulula e il fiume rugge. 41-In effetti, il ritmo del vento in continua evoluzione mi ispira. 42-La natura è proprio come un'orchestra, vero? 43-Sì, la natura stessa è un'orchestra e mi adatto ad essa.
44-Mi rivolgo sempre a me stesso e cerco il ritmo nella natura. 45-Quando il vento soffia più forte, mi alzo anch'io, quando soffia più calmo, mi calmo anche io. 46-Per me, la natura è un essere superiore. Devo seguirlo. 47- Tornando alla tua famiglia, sono interessati ai tuoi talenti? 48-Erano sempre interessati. Mio padre ha notato la gemma in me tutti i giorni in cui cantavamo insieme. 49. Quando ero più giovane, mia madre mi ha detto che era solo un hobby, ma ora sono orgogliose del mio canto. 50-Guardo i miei video più e più volte e dico ancora che è solo un hobby, ma non è così per me. 51-Che tipo di ispirazione hai preso dalla nostra città? 52- Mi è piaciuto molto quando ho visitato Krasnoyarsk con la mia famiglia. 53-Quando sono cresciuto e sono venuto in città, mi sono sentito come se fossi stato strappato dal seno di mia madre.
54-È stato molto difficile. C'erano persone e culture che non conoscevo intorno a me. Volevo disperatamente tornare a casa. 55-Come hai trovato il tuo gruppo Otyken? 56-Mentre stavo parlando, conoscevo il gruppo. Questo mi ha aperto la mente. Ho abbracciato questa atmosfera e la adoro. 72-Di cosa stai cantando?
73-Ad esempio, la canzone My wing parla dell'amore 74-Proprio come un angelo non può fare a meno delle ali, non può fare a meno dell'amore. 75-Una ragazza che sta cercando la persona amata e non vedo l'ora, mi è rimasta solo un'ala, la seconda dice sii tu. 76-Molto romantico. Decisamente! Dovevo essere il più romantico possibile. Tuttavia, la canzone è diventata una sorta di remix. Comunque la canzone è bellissima. 77-Che tipo di ricordi mi sono venuti in mente mentre cantavo questa canzone? 78-È stato fantastico girare il video clip e la sceneggiatura. Ho proiettato amore al grande pubblico, non a nessuno. 79-Credimi, c'era il volto più caloroso dell'amore tra un uomo e una donna nella canzone. 80-Ho sognato l'amore di una coppia in cui non sono. 81-Dimmi della vita della taiga nella foresta. Che tipo di vita era? Come stavi vivendo?
82-Posso parlare con gli alberi e loro mi rispondono. Taiga è una forza spirituale che vive dentro di noi. 83-Dove l'hai preso? 84- Quando uscivo di casa le distanze mi illuminavano, da bambino non davo molto valore a queste cose, ma quando sono cresciuto e sono andato all'estero me ne sono accorto. 85-Sogno l'ambiente in cui sono cresciuto. Il luogo e il fiume. Sento il mio piccolo villaggio che mi chiama. 86-Qual è il pericolo per te come artista che qualcuno perda le proprie radici? 87-Dipende da noi 88-Cosa succede se lasci questo posto? 89-Cosa succede? Raccolgo la mia energia intorno a me. La mia patria mi rende vigoroso. Non posso vivere a lungo in città. 90-Mi fa stancare. Senza la natura e i miei parenti, sono spiritualmente debole. 91-La mia musica è nata dove mi sentivo a mio agio. Mi sento a mio agio a casa mia. Questa è la mia casa, il mio cuore, il mio amore.

Aztan's short interview is full of amazing things. Her concept of music goes far beyond what most people think music is. It is highly spiritual and at the same time, it has a medicinal quality that is difficult to put onto words. All in all, it is a wonderful interview and Azyan is a natural healer so common to Siberia. It is worth listening to many times over.
How she talks about nature really resonates within me spiritually. I am obviously not indigenous but I have always had a respect for nature being a Pagan. She is so very blessed to have a childhood like that. And I have seen a difference in myself from growing up in a city vs growing up in the country. That is really relatable for me. It's really interesting and I'd like to learn more about the indigenous peoples of Siberia

Definitely If I have the chance I will do everything to visit the place of this wonderful people and learn about their culture and how they share and learn with the nature .. because yeah is something mystic , exciting, fascinating,and absolutely charming share with the nature and with the music of this amazing group in their homeland....and of course learn about that connection and watch that beautiful natural spectacle at 5 am or 6 am with the tones of the nature the forest the river and the sky.......that will be absolutely charming..... because it's very bored seeing more and more buildings and concrete in our cities but with less nature .... Definitely they are privileged people.....and definitely their culture will not die they are absolutely charming and with their music they are crossing frontiers and more and more people enjoy their music and the message about take care our nature and preserve what is much more important to our future generations ...as they say in a video ...we need to protect the bees... sorry for the long message but definitely your band and your culture it's absolutely charming 🙂🙂🙂👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🤗

Ötüken isn't the home of the Turks. It's the home of the Mongols. Mongols may be called "Turkic peoples" but they aren't related to the Turks except distantly through a linguistic family.

Ötüken is a fairy-tale home for us and it decorates our dreams. The first departures of the Turks in history are Siberia and Central Asia. In addition, Mongolians are our brothers and family, even if they are linguistically different. On the hill where the monument of Genghis Khan is in Mongolia, there are inscriptions in Göktürk and the Mongols say that they are the ancestors of the Göktürks.
