What’s with the left side of the video?

I made thumbnails to show different perspectives of the fractal. I try to explain it in the description without ending up writing a whole book.

@@FalkBay oh. the colouring makes it look kind of like a rendering error

@@bensfractals43 there are regions where the resultat of the iteration produced an indetermination, the code spits out nan (not a number) or inf (infinity) or -inf. In this cases I just picked up an arbitrary colour. That's what you see in this video.
