i love this man and his work so much. thank you for filming this and being there for this moment in his life. it means an incredible amount to me to see him making these choices, these riffs.
Ya me to man,i got to meet him about 6 years ago in London,Ontario,Canada when High on Fire was the main act along with opening band SkeletonWitch && Canadian band 'Priestess', & after the gig High On Fire came back to their merch table & chatted it up with the fans,& Matt signed my cd & took a pic with my Wife & I and chatted with us for like 20mins & he was feeling like shit as he had a cold but was so down to earth.Another guy that got clean & is doing well now is Bobby Leibling of Pentagram.
Hey MIke we send you all the best wishes you inspired me a lot to make my riffs and music, Cheers from Perú, we're gonna smoke a big one for you and Sleep!
at 4:37-4:45 really made sense to me in a big way. Because when I heard the chorus to Serums of Liao for the first time, I felt something. The only way I can describe it is Freedom. And that is what music is all about.
Ya Priestess was really good live man, they played before High on Fire & really got the crowd going. & Priestess was pretty popular in London,Ontario with them getting lot's of airplay on FM96 so a lot of the people were there to see Priestess because their Canadian. But ya I don't know what happened to them? A really great band though to say the least. It was so cool meeting Matt Pike of High on Fire & bassist Jeff Matz, just so down to earth & cool to talk to.I remember Matt having a bad cold.
Awesome you saw all three of those bands live... I love them all. Priestess is killer. Too bad they have dropped off the face of the earth, only making one album...
Just want to see if anyone else thinks that the new cover for the remastered Dopesmoker album reminds them of book Dune, and if they ever remake the movie, thats what the stillsuits should look like?
Musics great and all but he is a million times better in person than on stage. I mean he musically is great but almost puts on this persona or ego that is obviously not him like he speaks of in the first few minutes.
lol you don't know what straight edge is. To truly be straight edge you must quit everything from Caffeine and red meat to coke and cough syrup. You'd have to quit watching tv and quit the video games and quit the computers and any other mental, auditory, visual, and physical stimuli. Since they are all unhealthy drugs of their own kind. So to you mam/sir, have a good toke of the reefer. :] Take that as advice, and not a demand. I promise you will never regret it! lol
greatest song ever written. al is like a bass wielding turtle.
spending time with him warmed my heart , i'm happy to share this
i like this man. i've never watched any footage of him, this makes me feel something different and larger about him.

He's a troll. Just don't bother.
Not rich, but I make enough to pay my mortgage, bills and buy cocaine for my children.
kinda sad how he looks so old.
Musics great and all but he is a million times better in person than on stage. I mean he musically is great but almost puts on this persona or ego that is obviously not him like he speaks of in the first few minutes.
Cocaine for your children? Did you get an award for that?
Dude is broke, living payday to payday.
