Ο τύπος του βυθού στον οποίο η εμφάνιση της σφυρίδας αποτελεί πιθανό γεγονός, διαμορφώνεται από βράχους οι οποίοι ξεπροβάλλουν μέσα από την άμμο όντας αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι του υποστρώματος του βυθού και όχι ανεξάρτητες πέτρες.
Η φόρμα αυτών των βράχων είναι είτε επιμήκης, είτε στρογγυλή, με διαστάσεις που ξεκινούν από λίγα τετραγωνικά μέτρα και καταλήγουν ακόμα και σε επίπεδο αυτόνομης ξέρας. Η υφή τους είναι μαλακή, καλύπτονται από λίγα αραιά, ρομβοειδή, πράσινα φύκια, ενώ ένα λεπτό στρώμα βουρκώδους άμμου σκεπάζει τους πόρους της πέτρας.
Το προφίλ της σφυρίδας έχει χαρακτηριστικά από τα ψάρια "της τρύπας" αλλά και από τα ψάρια των "ανοιχτών νερών". Η τεχνική σύλληψης θα πρέπει συχνά να δομηθεί με στοιχεία που βασίζονται στον αυτοσχεδιασμό και προκύπτουν real-time από την παρατήρηση και την ανάλυση της συμπεριφοράς του ψαριού...

The type of seabed that increases the chances of finding the white grouper is characterized by hard substrate emerging through the sand as an integral part of the bottom rather than individual boulders.
The shape of these rocks is either elongated or round with dimensions ranging from a few square meters to reef level. Their texture is soft, covered by sparse green algae, while a thin layer of mire sand covers the stone pores.
The grouper is characterized as a “hole fish” but also as an "open water fish”. Their capture requires technical precision based on improvisation, real-time data collection resulting from observation, and analysis of the fish's behavior....
