My father has been alcoholic in fact he stopped drinking when his retirement cash hacked by someone who took a loan from it so this made not to receive anything cash so he had to stop since none could buy for him and imagine he is 75yrs now we thank God at least now hakunywi but it has been long journey na hakuna kitu alifanya sincerely I really feel for her
Thank you Ms. Mathu for this. It has finally made me understand why my alcoholic father committed suicide 26years ago. Infact you described exactly what happened. 1. Stormed out of a big family meeting. 2. Came home crying saying that his mum, brothers and sisters see him as a failure, they make fun of him since they don't understand him. 10minutes later, my father committed suicide and my mum at over 60 is an alcoholic to date. My siblings are also in it. Alot of light has been shed and I hope my mother will be able to get help just like you did.

The moment she said i was annoyed with God for not accepting her to death got me tear sly! I learned that God has a purpose for every living person despite how we may look to others. God kept her alive so she can testify to the world and impact lives positively. God made her go all these to use her to change 80% of the young population and 57% of older population who are going through substance abuse and addiction. You're a great woman. Family hatred contributes a lot in addiction withdrawal. Someone once told me no matter how people may seem enjoying drug usage be either they can afford or not they all wish they never started it!
My uncle lied to his parents he had cancer, he spent the money they gave him partying with wazungus at 680 😂. He was over 60 years old😂😂😂. He taught my cousins how to drink when they were younger than 10. He tried with me my father nearly knocked him out. Lovely lady, real life story about alcohol. It has wrecked both my mother's and father's side of the family. Stay clear my friends. You never know which drink turns you into an alcoholic

It's amazing how this story gives hope. I have struggled with alcoholism for a while now, the lapses and relapses have taken me back to zero for so long. I'm not giving up though, I must fight! My biggest setback is not having a job, I have never gotten serious employment since i graduated in 2013. These thoughts of desperation are real struggles. I pray God will bless me with a job someday. The stress will reduce, and hopefully I'll live a fulfilling life. Ipo siku.
My brother I am facing the same problem here.I have been trying to quit for a while now but I always go back to drinking..I have a very good job and I have never been late or get any trouble but waking up in the morning with anxiety and hangover is the worst thing.I believe if we don't give up one day we will quit for good.

My biggest setback is not having a job, I have never gotten serious employment since i graduated in 2013. These thoughts of desperation are real struggles.
I pray God will bless me with a job someday. The stress will reduce, and hopefully I'll live a fulfilling life.

Actually the real problem is not not having a job but the alcoholism. If you can manage to fix the alcoholism you will find a proper job

My brother I am facing the same problem here.I have been trying to quit for a while now but I always go back to drinking..I have a very good job and I have never been late or get any trouble but waking up in the morning with anxiety and hangover is the worst thing.I believe if we don't give up one day we will quit for good.

Oh wow!! This is just amazing. She’s so beautiful. I love it when she smiles . She has dimples that aside she has such a powerful story and a lovable personality. I am so happy and proud of her that she managed to pull herself out of the dungeon of alcoholism and can now tell her story. Such a great inspiration. Oh God , that's me.I have been alcoholic for many years here in America but God is coming through for me. Stopped for a whole year then relapsed recently but i can't do it anymore please God have mercy on me. Also this started from my family, my father and older brothers.
Relapse is part of recovery, take heart and keep pushing. Am also in America and almost 3 years sober. You got this!
