Legea lui Ohm spune că într-un circuit intensitatea curentului electric (I) este direct proporțională cu tensiunea aplicată (U) și invers proporțională cu rezistența (R) din circuit.
He constantly misused Amps with Amphours. Amps is a rating for how much current is actually flowing at a given point in time. Amphours is a measurement of capacity.(how long it can deliver current) For example: the Samsung 30Q cell has an Amphour rating of 3000mAh. (3.0Ah) However it can deliver 15 Amps continuously to your load. See how those are different things?

Hello Sir, can you help me I have 4.2 volts 8000mAh batteries, how many batteries do I need to create a 12 volts 50,000 mAh battery pack, and what is the layout, do I need a special BMS, thanks.
The “C” rating is a concept that is applied to batteries based on their Ah rating. 1C = whatever the cells capacity is. (Omit the “hours” part of the capacity rating) For example: an 18650 with a 2500mAh capacity rating would have 1C = 2500mA or 2.5A But a different cell with 1500mAh capacity rating would have 1C = 1.5A Another example: let’s say you have a 1S8P battery. Each cell is rated at 2000mAh. So the total capacity is 16,000mAh or 16Ah. For this 1S8P battery, 1C = 16A. See how 1C is different for every battery? It just depends on the capacity if the battery. Why is this useful? Because some batteries can discharge at 10C, while others can only discharge at 2C. Knowing your cells limits are important. The same goes for charging… you’ll often see recommendations to charge at 0.2C for best results. So you would need to know what 1C is, then divide that by 5 to get 0.2C. Last thing I’ll say is that the “C” rating capabilities of a lithium cell are highly dependent on its chemical composition. Some cell chemistries can output huge currents without burning up. Like the Sony VTC4. Try getting 30amp out of a different chemistry cell and it will likely explode after it heats up to the critical “thermal runaway” temperature.
Hello, I am a mechanical engineering student working on the design of a radiator for an EV. I just want to ask how to calculate heat generation from a lithium-ion battery pack of 48 volts, 100 Ah, and 1.4 C (hours). I am searching but unable to get a satisfactory answer. Please guide
Nicely done. Now armed with the "I" and "E" of the cells in question what formulas do you use to calculate the Ah and Wh for the series and parallel cells as used in your example. How to calculate the 4series cells Ah and Wh and the same for 4p.

Thanks sir but one doubt I have 5watt blutooth speaker it has 1200mah of 3.7 volt so the battery backup is low so if I use 2000mah of 3.7 volt battery what will happen does it run or damage to the speaker please tell me sir🙏
You're welcome! To answer your question, replacing a 1200mAh 3.7V battery with a 2000mAh 3.7V battery should not damage your Bluetooth speaker, as long as both batteries are the same voltage (3.7V). Here’s why: Capacity (mAh): The 2000mAh battery has a higher capacity, meaning it can provide more current over time before running out of charge compared to the 1200mAh battery. So, your speaker will likely last longer on a full charge with the 2000mAh battery, but it won’t affect the operation or cause any harm to the speaker itself. Voltage (3.7V): Since both batteries are rated at 3.7V, the voltage is the same, and your speaker's circuit will work as designed without any issues. However, a few things to consider: Physical Size: Ensure that the 2000mAh battery fits properly inside your speaker, as a larger battery might not fit in the available space. Charging Circuit: Double-check that the charging circuit in your speaker can handle the larger battery. Most Bluetooth speakers have built-in charging circuits designed for the original battery capacity, but this is usually not a problem unless you’re making significant changes in battery size or chemistry. In summary, swapping the 1200mAh with a 2000mAh 3.7V battery should not damage the speaker and will likely give you a longer battery life. Just make sure it fits and the charging system is compatible.

Hi, I want to make a 12.6V 72Ah battery pack from 18650s and I´m not sure about charging current. It would have 36 parallel cells with 2Ah and charging C rating is 0.5, then maximum charging current would be 36A? Am I right? Thanks.
Thanks for watching and subscribing my channel . You're on the right track, but let's clarify it step by step. You want to make a 12.6V, 72Ah battery pack using 18650 cells. Each cell has a capacity of 2Ah and a charging C-rating of 0.5C. The C-rating indicates the maximum current you can safely charge the cell. Here's how to calculate the maximum charging current: Maximum charging current per cell: The C-rating of 0.5C means that you can charge each cell at 0.5 times its capacity. For a 2Ah cell: 0.5 C × 2 A h = 1 A 0.5C×2Ah=1A So each cell can be safely charged at a maximum of 1A. Configuration of your battery pack: You mentioned that your pack will have 36 parallel cells. In a parallel configuration, the currents from each cell are added together. Since each cell can handle 1A of charging current, for 36 parallel cells, the total charging current would be: 1 A × 36 = 36 A 1A×36=36A So, the maximum charging current for the entire 36-cell pack would indeed be 36A. Conclusion: Yes, you're correct that the maximum charging current for your pack would be 36A. However, remember that this is the theoretical maximum based on the cells' C-rating. In practice, it’s often a good idea to charge at a lower current for longevity and safety.

Another example: let’s say you have a 1S8P battery. Each cell is rated at 2000mAh. So the total capacity is 16,000mAh or 16Ah. For this 1S8P battery, 1C = 16A.
See how 1C is different for every battery? It just depends on the capacity if the battery.

Here's how to calculate the maximum charging current:
Maximum charging current per cell:
The C-rating of 0.5C means that you can charge each cell at 0.5 times its capacity. For a 2Ah cell:
0.5
C
×
2
A
h
=
1
A
0.5C×2Ah=1A
So each cell can be safely charged at a maximum of 1A.
Configuration of your battery pack:
You mentioned that your pack will have 36 parallel cells. In a parallel configuration, the currents from each cell are added together. Since each cell can handle 1A of charging current, for 36 parallel cells, the total charging current would be:
1
A
×
36
=
36
A
1A×36=36A
So, the maximum charging current for the entire 36-cell pack would indeed be 36A.
Conclusion:
Yes, you're correct that the maximum charging current for your pack would be 36A. However, remember that this is the theoretical maximum based on the cells' C-rating. In practice, it’s often a good idea to charge at a lower current for longevity and safety.
