    This was a fantastic video to find. It bought back many happy memories of my childhood. My father owned Lancias since before I was born until they stopped selling cars in the UK. Throughout my childhood he had a Beta and then a number of Deltas, I am not sure how many now but I am certain 3, maybe 4 Deltas. The later ones were always the HF Turbo, he loved the cars and drove them well, and hard. I still remember the surge of third gear acceleration when overtaking and the thrill of seeing over 100mph. I recall the upholstery and dashboard in his cars well, and your is exactly the same, except the carpet mats and steering wheel.
    The first car I drove fast (over 70mph) was my dad's Delta on a race track after the day's racing was finished (he was one of the organisers of the racing), I was perhaps 14 years old and the memory of his urging me to drive faster and when the brake and change gear has stayed with me ever since. I've often thought about finding a good Delta HF Turbo but I am not sure there are many in the UK, and I seem to have found a love for the Alfa Romeo Sprint QV so that is the object of my enthusiasm these days. Perhaps I'll keep looking just in case...

    Alternators are really fun to replace on these. Wheel off, no visibility, all work by feel. Wiggle and find a path to get the old one out and new one in. I had a Delta in 1990, 1300 lx, my friend had an HF Turbo and it was fantastic. Bought my first integrale in 98 and still own a 93 Lord Blue which is now bare metal restoration. Always hated the warning lights!!!

      @@ste.fiorav definitely felt like that for me too. Driving was always smooth and and felt very nimble. Unfortunately I was involved in an accident with her and a truck and they totaled her :( How I miss driving her...

    The red light is a master alarm which displays because your temperature sensor and a front bulb is showing as blown. Clean your earth connections to the lights and check connection to coolant temperature as this is the alarm. Might be a wire not connected along the way. This should clear the main red warning light on the main dashboard display

    • @Scealmora
      @Scealmora 4 года назад +1

      Also check the coolant level as the master alarm disappeared when you were accelerated hard.

      Thanks to both, I'll need to check bit I'm low in bidjet as in the last months I paid taxes and insurance in the Delta and the Mini 😁

      @@ste.fiorav la spia rossa è connessa al Check Control. Se hai una delle spie del quadretto a destra è accesa, la spia rossa resta accesa. Solo quando nessuno degli indicatori del check è acceso avrai la spia verde, per pochi secondi dopo l'avviamento, accesa.

    Bel video e bellissima Delta (la HF Turbo è una vettura troppo sottovalutata,è velocissima e ha un gran carattere)
    Peccato non abbia i Recaro....

      Si in realtà (senza fretta) li sto cercando.
      Per quanto riguarda la velocità e accellerazione, mi ha veramente stupito ! Ho anche un altro video nel canale con la velocità massima raggiunta 😉

      @@ste.fiorav EH..aveva uno scatto davvero cattivo
      la Lancia dichiarava uno 0-100 in 8,7 secondi,ma effettivamente era quasi un secondo meno
      Quando ero ragazzino,un mio conoscente l'aveva presa nuova di pacca,colore rosso bordeaux metallizzato e con i Recaro... ricordo quando mi portava a fare un giro... quanto era cattiva sgommava anche di terza
      Le prime poi montavano gommine ridicole (165/65 14,che per una vettura così potente erano sottodimensionate.
      E queste gomme strette accentuavano anche le prestazioni.
      ma rendevano la guida un pò critica quando si esagerava
      Infatti nelle versioni restyling si passò allle 185/55 14
      Di recente,un amico mi ha proposto la sua: è del 1990 bianca,completamente originale e ha il tetto apribile...lìha poi venduta subito

    I love these I'm planning on getting myself one for my a late 18th birthday present next year unless I win the lottery then I'm having one as my first car (ill bugger up the clutch most probably) this year. I dont care about the insurance price as long as its doable.

    • @ste.fiorav
      @ste.fiorav  3 года назад

      well it depends a lot on how much you use the car. To daily drive it 10 or 20 km's it's ok. For more it gets to cost a bit. In anycase if you don't have money problems I would go for a 4wd and the worst thing in these (I don't know where you live) is that there is no air conditioning... for the rest, it's a car, so you can use it as much as you want !

      @@ste.fiorav yeah I live in England so air conditioning is only a problem in summer and if it has windows and a sunroof then I guess I'll survive it if I don't go on long journeys
